You better be able to rename Nyavi and dress him up. I want to call him revolver and give him a cowboy hat. Because there's nothing like the feeling of slamming a long silver bullet in a well greased chamber.
Emulators have been used on non-nintendo consoles before. The Retron 5 actually rips the roms off the cartridges and emulates them. So there's really nothing Nintendo can do to stop this even if they wanted to.
I bet the menu will be awesome too. Nintendo always goes above and beyond with their products. This could just have a barebones menu with no options and people would be satisfied but they went the extra mile and added some awesome features.
I predict this will sell like gangbusters come the holidays. It really is the perfect Christmas present. It's fun and it's just expensive enough to show you care without breaking the bank. Nintendo will make a fortune.
I've got one preordered from Amazon that I'm seriously considering selling. I mean, it'd be nice to use with the game but the extra $50 I'd make flipping it would be nicer. Why on earth people are willing to pay so much for it that is beyond me. I feel like a dick taking advantage of them but that's enough to buy a full game.
I'm having so much fun with this game. It's really addicting and I'm actually thinking of getting off my behind walking around. There are a lot of churches around where I live and they're all Pokéstops. I'm a lazy bastard so that's impressive, especially with how hot and muggy it is outside.
I'm really happy with my GBA SP. It's that gorgeous NES styled one except I swapped the guts with an AGS 101 so it's got the amazing paint job and the awesome screen.
Bought it from Amiami. It's way better than Play Asia. With EMS shipping it'll probably run me <$70 depending on what the exchange rates do. Worth it because they package sutff REALLY well and they're shipping is stupid fast. I ordered a Punished Venom Snake figure on a Sunday night and it showed up the next Wednesday. EMS is amazing.
Criticizing his company's track record and warning people not to invest in the Kickstarter isn't unethical. Their previous two games suffered in development hell and came out poorly. It would be unethical not to warn people about that.
I hated Zero's controls and it wasn't because I didn't give them a chance. I unlocked and beat every stage in the game and they never felt natural. I only did that out of pure pigheadedness because I love Star Fox and wanted to make myself like it.
Having to switch between the two screens, and having the camera wrenched out of your control on the main screen whenever it's showing you a cutscene or you're in a boss fight is incredible disorienting. I died several times because I couldn't see where my ship was going due to those camera changes. That's the kind of crap I'd expect from some amature hour Steam game, not something put out by the best game development house in the freaking world.
The people who can't understand how people don't like the controls drive me crazy. If you hear a lot of people complain about something that isn't an issue for you that doesn't mean it isn't a legitimate complaint. I actually had someone tell me to "git gud" (yes, with that spelling) when I was complaining about them. I can beat Star Fox 64's hard path on a single ship without any of my squadmates dying. I'm already "gud" enough. These controls are the problem.
Why do they use the analog stick for your speed, tilt AND barrel roll?! It makes it impossible to do a hard turn while boosting. That's so stupid. U turns and loops are also mapped to the sticks which you'll never want to use because the buttons are much more reliable. Just use the buttons! I've accidentally looped when I was trying to boost away from an explosion and died. That's so frustrating. There should be an option for ZL and ZR to be for tilt and the stick for speed, shooting mapped to Y, bombs to B, loop to X and u turn to A. That would be so much better.
This game feels like they're trying to show off how innovative the gamepad as if this is a launch title except it's the final year of its life cycle and we know how cool the gamepad can be. I hate it.
That's amazing! I had no idea you could actually make a Glock look cool. I still prefer my Beretta 92FS but that's a nice looking gun. If you're wondering why I own guns, it's because I enjoy going to the range with my dad and shooting them. It's one of the few hobbies we both share.
Cool. I'm totally down for Lady Link. As a red blooded manly man, if I'm going to be staring at a characters ass for 50 hours, it might as well be an ass worth staring at.
I could use a USB controller. I'm sick of having to resync my Xbox One Elite controller when I'm just using it for emulati-I mean perfectly legal games that I didn't pirate.
Jetpack because you aren't limited to existing paths since you can just fly over buildings so you'll get there faster. The view's also better from the air and you can enjoy it more because you won't have to worry about getting hit by cars.
It doesn't matter if it gets a Z because they don't care about domestic sales. Virtues Last Reward tanked hard in Japan but sold REALLY well in the US. The only reason it got made was because Aksys stepped in and helped fund it due to western fan demand. The game was announced at Anime Expo in LA which goes to show which market they're targeting.
I love how when sites do actual games journalism instead of just games reporting, the companies throw a snit fit and try to censor it. Utterly ridiculous, Ubisoft. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
I think they're going to announce a separate NX direct like they did with the Smash Bros one. They need to show it soon (actually they should have already shown it) because the rumors are spiraling out of control.
I was really annoyed after this was over. I woke up early after working my night shift only getting about five hours of sleep because I expected to see a trailer for the new game, some more details on Poken Tournament and maybe something about Pokemon Go. Instead it was just the logos that already had leaked and some off screen concept art.
But it's in Chinese now. Because that news is relevant to westerners watching an English Nintendo Direct. Seriously, the only people who care about that are native Chinese speakers and shareholders.
I own one of these things and they are physically painful to use. The combination of the headache inducing red lights that bore into your eyes and the neck cramps from leaning forward makes kills the experience. It's got some cool games but you won't want to play them for any extended length of time.
I'm glad they've done this. The idea of inviting your friend to your house and then rubbing their face is really creepy. If I did that in real life, I'd expect the other person to either make a b-line for the door or punch me in the face. Actually, they'd probably do both. Caressing your lovers face on the other hand is perfectly acceptable. So the S rank restriction makes total sense.
Plus, I don't want to have to explain why I'm feeling up characters on the touch screen when I'm playing this at work. That's be awkward.
So it's only your lover you touch? That's actually way better than the Japanese version. The idea of getting handsy with someone you're not romantically entwined with is really creepy. Imagine your friend invites you over to play Smash Bros. and when you're talking to them they start caressing your face for no reason. I'd be making a b-line for the exit.
I have the entire Smash Bros line-up that's out and have the ones that aren't preordered. I also have the Splatoon ones, Toad, Modern Mario, Classic Mario, Chibi Robo and two Shovel Knights. I'm starting to think I may have a problem.
@ASonic3582 I remembered that about an hour after I posted. It's really weird that we're the only ones that do that. It makes more sense for it to be day month year. Then again the metric system makes more sense too and we use imperial anyway.
A new Splatoon with playable Octolings and a couple years of content updates would be a great idea. Even if it only launched with a few maps, it would still really help the NX. Systems usually have a lull in software right after launch so that would keep people coming back and keep the console in the news.
I also want the new Zelda to come to it with better graphics. 720p on Wii U and 1080p 60fps on NX with better draw distance, lighting, shadows and particle effects would be great.
Looks like Europe is getting screwed on the release date again. You're getting it April 2nd and we're getting it March 4th in the US. Not that I'm looking forward to gleefully lording that over my British friends or anything. Because I'm not.
The thing I love (and sometimes hate) about Nintendo is how unpredictable they are. Having stuff like Splatoon come completely out of left field and blowing our minds is what makes Nintendo Nintendo. So I'm hoping for lots of "Wild card, bitches!" moments in 2016. Preferably ones that doesn't involve severed break lines.
@Ryu_Niiyama With those games the criticism was that you couldn't die at all. In Rayman or Super Meat Boy you can and will die constantly but you can keep trying again and again until you build up the skills to beat the level.
If they want to modernize, I wish they'd do away with the lives system. It's a holdover from the arcade days and doesn't have any relevance anymore. It would let them make levels more challenging without players having to worry about being punished for failing. It's part of why I like Rayman Origins and Legends way more than any of the New Super Mario Bros. games.
I paid $80 for this freaking thing and it's not even compatible with my computer. All they had to do is put the soundtrack into a folder on the drive and let you copy paste it to your computer. Now I'm going to have to go to FFShrine and pirate the soundtrack I paid for. Utterly ridiculous!
@Tsurii I should have specified the promo model they used in the CGI trailers and not the one they used in game. Look at the cover of Smash Wii U and you'll see what I mean.
I wouldn't get my hopes up. It looks like the same model they used in Smash Bros. but in the TP pose. It's more likely it's promo art for Smash that wasn't used until now.
Apparently Best Buy is going to have somewhere around 100 Dark Pits per store. They're not doing anything online and the warehouse in DC lists 10K in the system. So you'll probably be able to get him if you go in early.
I really wish they'd stop doing this. There's already too much stable for the amount of horses I've got in the thing. Not to mention it takes twice as long to muck it out as it did when the system launched. Most of that time's spent walking to each pile of manure. It's getting ridiculous.
I wish there was an option to filter those players out. Not only do they cause lag but they also are all level 20 with amazing gear. Splatoon is becoming really frustrating now. When you get a group of players that have a fairly even skill level it's the most fun I've had with an online game. More often than not however, you get totally unbalanced teams and one side slaughters the other. Those matches aren't fun whichever side you're on. They need to implement some sort of matchmaking so there's more of the former.

Lucio ball in Overwatch is way better. I think it's because the field is bigger and you have to melee the ball. Blast Ball feels too random.
