Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 2nd)

Zeroo

The hilarious thing is that Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is no where near the top 10 games people are playing this weekend because 1) the team saw Pokemon SV and said "challenge accepted", ultimately creating a game that looks and performs worse 2) Barely any marketing, not even sending out review codes to game websites 3) Limited distribution in the West

But hey, now they can complain again that DQM doesn't sell in the West and they can spend the next 10 years not localizing any DQM games.

I was initially hyped for Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, but with the crappy demo performance, the lack of professional reviews, the mixed reception from people having played it and a lack of proper distribution in game shops in my country makes me think I'll skip this one.

They should've really developed this properly, with decent marketing and better physical distribution and that would've probably resulted in a lot of success and sales.

Alas.

It's funny that the complainers here like @Chaotic_Neutral and @Johnvlachos and @Aya-chan don't understand that this is what the Zelda series always aspired to be. They used to be limited by technical constraints, whereas now they are able to build Zelda games with freedom like they always intended in their vision. This is the real Zelda as they always wanted to make.

You can always go back and replay the old, more constrained Zelda games that you prefer.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Octopath Traveler II

@Jcdbengals you should just play what you want to play the most next. Whether that’s Live A Live or Chained Echoes or Octopath Traveler 2. Some of you take the concept like a backlog too serious and often sound like you’re working, trudging through some arbitrary backlog instead of playing what you really want to play.
