Re: Poll: Which 2015 Nintendo Blockbusters Should Have amiibo Support?

Wonky_Kong

@RQuinain I agree, i think most amiibo support will just be costumes ect. and that isn't a terrible thing, id rather get a figure with access to lots of costumes than pay for costume DLC.

Also, please no amiibo support for zeldaU, that game needs to be pure, never DLC for Zelda

I still haven't bought an amiibo, if i see a gannondorf one i would buy it but apart from that, until the in-game use of them increases im staying out.

Re: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Apex Champion Calls For Unity in Competitive Smash Scene

@MasterBlaster Good for you, you are so cool wow i cant believe that you are so hip and dislike an e-sport wow good for you, all the girls must love you.

@DarkKirby As a devote follower of ZeRo, i think it is unfair to say that he is biased to smash4, he is a very good melee player, and still regularly places in top 10's of big tournaments. He played better at brawl but was never on the level he is at smash4. I agree with him, there is space for both games. I personally prefer melee at the moment, but c'mon smash 4 has been out for less than half a year, melee competetive was garbage before 2 years.

There is still perfect pivoting to explore as well as other techs. Both games can get on with each other and respect the different aspects. What would be the point in Sakurai making melee 2.0 when melee is perfect at what it does, it is better for us to get a different sort of game.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Pro Players Tackle the Problem of Diddy Kong

Wonky_Kong

At SAX (or maybe it was KTAR cant remember) both the finalists (M2K and jtails) were playing diddy and it was basically a downthrow Uair fest. Diddy's nanner game was nerfed, but this one combo makes him a beast, also the fact that airdodging has become fairly crappy this game has made the combo more viable.

Re: Poll: Which is the Best Super Smash Bros. Game?

Wonky_Kong

Before I say anything I just want to say that the order i played the games in is : brawl, melee, 64, 3DS, U

In my options, melee is the best for game play, even without the advanced techniques the game had the most solid fighting mechanics. Brawl was a mess, incredibly inbalanced and slow, I cant go back to it. 64 was fun to play on my phone, but it grew old quickly, the 3ds' controls clearly aren't made for a fighter like smash and the online was still fairly laggy. U was without a doubt the greatest game for casuals, and I am currently loving learning the new meta and matchups (my yoshi and my olimar are great atm ), although I wish the for glory more had other maps, platforms are used in competetive too, at least Battlefield and SmashVille shouldbe included. So sm4sh is great, but melee is still the king in my opinion.
Btw brawls singleplayer was not good! Smash is a fighting game not a platformer ;P

@c1pher_c0mplet you know platinum said it wont happening without nintendo saying Yes. Nintendo loved the WHOLE project, they didn't just buy exclusivity.

Re: Feature: The Benefits of a Portable Super Smash Bros.

Wonky_Kong

@PigmaskColonel I feel your pain, still a lot better than with brawl though, a 5 year wait xD.

I honestly just want this to tide me over until ssb4 on WiiU, although i will use it when i'm travelling and the music player seems good. But when i'm home, there's no reason to play this over the WiiU version IMO.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Brings Life to the 3DS With New Models

Wonky_Kong

Still got my old aqua blue 3DS and this isn't gonna make me upgrade tbh. I rarely use my 3D (last used for phoenix Wright cutscenes) and the extra cpu power is probably very minor, most likely a fraction of a gigahertz. I still want to have the revised Circle pad pro with the circlepad on tthe back if the left side. Looks way more comfy.

The nipple has good placement though, makes smash attacks easy to switch to.

Re: New Nintendo 3DS Models Announced

I bought a 3ds for £40 so upgrading won't be too much money wasted, but I want the CPP which has the circle pad on the back more than this. It looks more comfortable and fits with what I already have
