Re: Interview: Pro Smash Competitors Armada & Mew2King on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

Wonky_Kong

I heard from a you-tuber (he mostly plays fighting games but he's not pro or anything) that a major issue with the E3 build is that defensive play is far more effective than ofensive. He told one of the Nintendo E3 staff people and they said a lot of people had that view. The problem seemed to be that it was way easier to counter than to attack, and so he always wanted to play defensively. He also said he played around 40 rounds of WiiU and 20 of 3DS

Why is it that people on Nintendo Life always seem to dislike Mew2King. You guys should watch 'The smash brothers' a documentary on YouTube about competitive smash melee.

And on the Melee v Brawl front, while i prefer the game content for Brawl (more stages, subspace and more characters) Melee will always have the higher skill cap and is better for competitive play. Brawl is just too defensive and i hope that Sora change that for SSB4.

Gotta be bayo2, platinum always deliver great quality. Apart from that im going to buy smash, affordable space adventures and pikmin3 because I only got a wiiu recently.

I will wait on reviews for hyrule warriors vecause I hear it is just like a re-skinned dynasty warriors8, which i've already played. Project cars will be bought for my PC.

Re: Review: Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark (Wii U)

Wonky_Kong

@DragonbornRito It is quite suprising for this franchise. Tranformers war and fall of cybertron are amazing games that i really enjoyed. They were great as 3rd person shooters in their own right, but the story was really great for transformers fans aswell. I guess the new devs aren't up to scratch because high moon studios were great.

@Bass_X0
Honestly, i spent way more time on multiplayer on past transformers games than on the campaign

EDIT:
I just looked at the playstation IGN review and wow... This game is bad

Re: Veteran Publisher THQ To Rise From The Dead, In Name At Least

Wonky_Kong

@FragRed I hope they don't come out with a new home console for at least 4/5 years, nintendo will never be on the same graphical level as the competition if the stick to Yokoi's ethic (take proven, cheap hardware and make good content with it) and to be honest i think the WiiU can provide interesting experiences my PC can't offer

Back on topic, DARKSIDERS WOO! i don't care if it isn't on WiiU (id play it on PC anyway ) but Darksiders is one of my favourite franchises, Zelda mixed with God of War combat!

Re: Mario Maker to Include Additional Graphical Styles, Sharing Levels is "Really The Whole Point"

Wonky_Kong

@LazyShell I'm sure that Nintendo will have that, there's no way they would skip a feature as necessary as that.

I hope that there are a lot more items/ building materials than we saw at E3 because the building community will need more content to stay interested. I was heavily involved in the trails evolution building community, and the sheer amount of content in the game's level editor was what kept me coming back to design new levels.

Re: Feature: A Week of Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Screens - Issue Forty One

Wonky_Kong

@AlexSora89. Dude it's only one stage and remember the 3ds has the smash run mode. Im mire worried for the WiiU, the WiiU needs to shift some units and although we kniw the WiiU version will better (bigger screen/ better graphics/better controls/bigger maps) the 3ds does have smash run.

Also, wobt the boomerang diminish the uniqueness of links boomerang, maybe link will get a different side b

Re: Mario Kart 8 DLC Confirmed for Japan With Free Mercedes Car

Wonky_Kong

Ehhh, its free so wjo can complain, though I will never use it and I hope there are no more commercial plugs. Tbh the only DLC I would want is arenas, chatacters make no difference to me and im sure there are already tons of karts. Tracks would ve good too, for a nice price because nothing sucks more than when you cant play a multiplayer match because you dont own the map

Re: Nintendo Japan Announces Plans for YouTube Affiliate Program

@TwilightPoint Good job on being an arse for no reason, i'm sorry for having an opinion. My opinion makes sense enough to me, so perhaps if you wish to take the mic then provide some kind of reason. I never said anything along the lines of "nintendo have lost their touch" or that they should drop their ad campaign. I just happen to listen to a lot of gaming podcasts (co-optional podcast) that shed some light (to me anyway) on this topic. Maybe next time give some reasons, other than potshot sarcasm.

Re: Mario Kart Month: Expanding the Universe of Mario Kart

Wonky_Kong

@faint - i guess, im all for expansion packs but DLC's just seem like a waste of money. But if people want it then thats your choice.

How about an MK8 expansion pack for like £20 on the eshop, with a whole 32 new tracks? If it was done in a way like blizzard do expansion packs id love it (Diablo reaper of souls, SC2 heartr of the storm)

Re: Mario Kart Month: Expanding the Universe of Mario Kart

Wonky_Kong

@Gerbwmu @FattyWhale_42 - Characters are not worth the money, they are just animations with tiny weight tweaks. The way DLC is done is not right, most games you have to pay £8-10 which is a 1/3 or a 1/4 of the original game price. The DLC probs took a month to produce and does not have 1/4 of the original games content.

The problem is that if people keep begging for DLC then publishers will think it is OK to half finish a game and then flesh it out with DLC. I'd rather wait a month and get that extra content with the game. If devs want to keep people playing their game give out updates.

Re: Nintendo Japan Announces Plans for YouTube Affiliate Program

Wonky_Kong

@tysonfury But no doubt users will not be able to upload Nintendo content without an affiliate license. The profits are 'shared' which basically means that Nintendo will just nab some of the profits the content creator would normally get without the affiliate programme.

I just feel that, i go home and i watch youtube videos that make me laugh (like Dunkey), vids that are very informative (totalbiscuit, gamexplain) and i enjoy those videos, so why shouldn't the people that make them make money
