I don't understand why Nintendo feel they deserve money for others peoples creative content. If it's an un-commentated let's play i can sort of understand, but people don't watch Youtube videos for the footage, but rather the comical touch over the footage. They need to understand the Youtube videos build up more hype than a lot of other formats, Goat Simulator for example, was a bad game that scored lucky because of Youtube

Watch dogs reviews were decent, but not all it's hyped up to be.

The graphics also look a whole lot worse than they did at E3

Minecraft on consoles sucks because there are no dedicated servers, mods or texture packs. plus the controls have always felt loose and ugly since i started using minecraft on PC

A game does not need to be good to get put through QA, it just needs to actually work and not be a buggy mess, this doesnt fit my tastes, but it is not horrific.
@Rococoman Nintendo can't make indie devs make games for them, that is the devs choice.

just hope that it is more like DLC rather than actually having to individual characters

I'm getting a WiiU for the MK8 bundle on may 30th, but i still have some problems with it. I have no problem with the graphics, DKCTF and SM3DW look better than forza or infamous and i have my PC for high end graphic stuff. The main problem may end up with processing power, i mean how much can a WiiU do at one time without the framerate dropping to 50 or so?

I think the main thing i disagree with is the pricing for games section. F2P can work, but it is a rare occasion and so many F2P games pass under our noses. I think the pricing is right at the moment. If Nintendo wanted to go F2P with tloz the game would be of a worse quality, as it is more of a risk. Also, through all my time playing F2P games on steam, i only enjoyed the price system of DOTA2, TF2 and Loadout, a good F2P model is hard to come by.

A better pricing alternative would just be to increase the sales on the eshop, and that would also help a transition to digital.

@Grimyz i'm sure it;s wrong, if you look at the dimensions it say 1mm,1mm,1mm and it says it weighs one gram, obviously a guy on the tech team had a cosy nap or something

@Ryno Fair point, but the economy here in the UK is crappy, for example, we pay £40 for those 3DS titles that were reduced to $30 in the US. And the OUYA was $99 in the US and still £99 in the UK. Our price of living just sucks
Still, That is £40 less that the TLOZWW bundle on amazon, and this one comes with Mario Kart and another game, TLOZ if you want it

@unrandomansam I guess i've allways been against the white WiiU anyhow, But 32GB will keep me for a bit (some indies and such). Plus £40 is enough to get 2 Pro controllers aswell, to play that couch multiplayer. In reference to the sensor bar thing, im getting rid of my Wii anyway so the extra sensor bar is a bonus

@adderrson but that's an 8GB model without a sensor bar.

My Wii sensor bar is busted and i'm going to want to install many games I think MK8 and MH3U will give me at least 200 hours of gameplay

Oh and on the 'Ubi don't care for Nintendo fans' thing, Ubisoft are a business and the install base is lowest on WiiU than any other console, bar the XBONE. And Ubi games sell badly on Nintendo systems, rayman legends is an exception because it's a platformer, watch dogs is an open world game, and those do more well on Sony,PC and Xbox

Meh, watchdogs is another Ubi open world game, so lets hope it is good. Ubi open world games are never great and i'm sure this won't be game of the year by any stretch of the imagination.

But if i do buy this i'll get it for PC. The graphics will be better and it'll be cheaper on steam. One thing i don't understand is why people feel they have a 'duty' to support Nintendo. I love Nintendo but that doesn't mean i should settle with a second class experience

@pukka-pie This game is not indie, it is published by ubisoft and developed by the same team as far cry 3. Just because a game is indie doesn't mean a 70-80 metascore. Look at super meat boy, bastion, ftl, spelunky, limbo or more. Good indie games get high scores in the same way good AAA games get good scores

Well, Hover looks outstanding, but theres no way im getting this for WiiU. I have a powerful gaming rig so the graphics will just be that much nicer. Also, first person games are way more sluggish on consoles than PC, joysticks can't match the precision of a mouse.

Im not knocking the WiiU, but this isn't kind of game i'd buy for it.

Went for the big booty, on a different topic, why do people want Shadow, i always thought he was annoying and unlikable, if any other sonic stuff was to be in i'd say Chao as an assist Trophy.

Then again, I find most Sonic characters annoying.

Well, FOC and WFC were amazing but let's see how edge of reality handle it. High Moon made a great universe based on the cartoons but the real world setting worries me. Edge of reality did make Loadout though which is a rather fun 3rd person shooter, so they should do well.

also a correction, High Moon didn't make a trilogy, but rather two games in one series (WFC+FOC) and Transformers dark of the moon, which was terrible and based of the movieverse.

ZSS looks good, Im intrigued to see how ZSS and shiek handle, as i rarely played them in brawl.

Just a question as someone about to buy a wiiU. Do the classic pro controllers work for games such as AC4 or SM3DW? because then i wouldnt need to buy a WIIU Pro controller.

I think this was a good choice, splitting the releases gives nintendo a chance to perfect the wiiU version, also, if both were released simultaneously then people would only buy one, whereas now I know ill buy both. Also, winter is the best time to release blockbusters, Nintendo at least need one game at christmas to boost sales of the wiiU

I'm really holding out for some kind of WiiU bundle reveal. I don't own a WiiU but with MK8, Bayonetta2 and SSBU on the horizon i'm finally going to grab one. I'm just hoping that Nintendo announce a SSB/MK8 WiiU bundle.

why are people fussing over the lack of a 3DS version? The 3DS really can't handle something of this scope due to the lack of power and it would be stupid to downscale an entire project that much for the 3DS.

Look at those visuals! While the WiiU isn't packed with power, Nintendo sure can make some nice graphics. And watching that trailer just puts a stupid grin on my face

I own a 3ds and most nintendo consoles dating back to the N64, and though I have stayed off the wiiu and opted to buy a PC instead, I think Mk8 and SSB4 will push me to buy one

This article is the perfect example of why the NL comment section is so awful. People are slamming a well established game-dev and calling him ugly? really people? you disagree with him so you decide to say he looks like a toad, even if he did (which he doesn't) then it would make his argument invalid, the WiiU is still clunky compared to an IPad for example. The comment section is so terrible on this website, and though i love NL and the coverage is the best for a nintendo website, I find it strange that NL find the need to make this kind of thing into an article. URGH i mean either way, Peter Molyneux was not cursing nintendo, he was just being critical, but at least he did it with maturity unlike the people commenting here.

Oh yeah, did i mention how stupid people were being with the microsoft thing? becuase 1) he worked for Lionhead, not microsoft and 2)he works at 22cans now and 3)just because he was associated with microsoft doesnt make his point any less valid

that would be cool, especially if it came with a controller similar to the mini hori for the N64, as those controllers were awesome but way to expensive nowadays.
