Nintendo UK has confirmed that its Amiibo range of "interactive figures" will retail for £10.99 each.
The full range of 12 figures — the same roster that was announced for North America — has been added to Nintendo's online UK store, and the pricing has been replicated over at leading independent retailer GAME.
Elsewhere in the world, it has been confirmed by Nintendo of Australia's official PR that the figures will cost AU$17.95 in that region.

I just preordered them all from Nitnendo's Official Store this morning.
I was about to ask if this information had appeared on NintendoLife yet, as I hadn't seen it.
ShopTo have them for a few pence cheaper. £10.85 each. If you're so inclined. Will save you about £1.70 if you buy them all.
Considering that I had settled on the £12.99 price point, I'm actually quite happy to see them at £10.99.
@shibbyduckegg
I was hoping for £9.99 ideally. But £10.99 isn't too bad. I wasn't happy with £12.99 at all.
I knew they would be more than £10 - I think £9.99 would of been better... £10.99 will cause some people to buy less of them... oh well!
I was hoping £9.99 price as I'm not fully invested in the idea yet as we still don't know what it will do in other games and it doesn't seem to do much in Smash, so I may just wait for a sale or when I next go to the US to get the 3-4 I want. Also I think they missed a good opportunity to good packs of a bunch of characters from the same series for a bit less then buying each separately.
This is not good... Surely in € won't cost less than £ and no way that stores could sell them for a "weird" 13.75€(= 10.99£); better to raise the price a little and reach that lovely 15€ mark, am I right? >o>;;;
£10.99 isn't bad considering I was expecting a dodgy £1=$1 conversion ratio but another thing I'm wondering is whether Amiibo are region locked. (Yes it sounds ridiculous but with all their consoles except pre-3DS handheld being region locked it's definitely something to consider)
A bit disappointed in the price here in Australia. Makes me think a bit more about whether they are worth purchasing, and indeed how many if I do.
They are cheaper than I thought so I'm gonna buy a few of them to see what I think of the new play pattern.
More expensive than I thought, but getting used to that with Nintendo. Hoping we'll see the likes of Amazon selling them for £9.99. Might get Peach, but probably not at launch.
Eh, that's kinda expensive to me. I was expecting something around €7.99, and speaking of which, again, the UK is in Europe, PAL region, same as Australia, PAL region, why drip out these prices.
I guess they will be €12.99 each and in that case, I'm out. That's a lie, I'll buy a few
On a totally different topic, I see the XB1 just bombed in Japan today, lol. Wonder if the pure Xbox site will report it.
Not too bad I guess!
So how much in € for other EU countries?
That will probably be 13.99 in euro's and it also means importing from the US will be much cheaper. Especially if you want multiple amiibo's.
That's pretty good! I'd buy one for £11, that's for sure!
@readyletsgo I haven't seen that, did it launch today there then?
@readyletsgo Just looked at some photos, ha. Perhaps a bit early to tell though.
That will be a nice little earner for Nintendo.
@luke88 @luke88 yup happened this morning there, so about 20hours ago http://kotaku.com/japans-xbox-one-launch-as-sad-as-youd-expect-1630411606
It's way to early to tell but can't wait to see the sales figures next Wednesday. Lol I'm being very mean I know.
I'll probably get one or two once I know more about which games they'll be used in and how. Hope they do well.
It's a lot better than the $29.95AUD EB Games had down as placeholder price for preorders last week.
@readyletsgo Ha, yeah just googled it and found that very same article. Don't worry; I don't want to live in a world in which it's not okay to be mean to Microsoft.
£10.99 is pretty good compared to some of the Skylanders and Infinity figures but Nintendo need to stress what makes them different. Have a minute ad followed by some 30 second ads and keep them on a loop on as many channels as possible. Not that i've pre-ordered them all either....ahem. Well, at least that's some of my Christmas presents sorted so it should be cheaper for me!
@luke88 I'll probably get an xb1 in 5 years when its at least the size or smaller than my WiiU or ps4
Can we pre-order them from Amazon or anywhere yet?
I'm at that awkward time in my 30's where no one knows what to get me for birthdays or Xmas. Now they'll know
I love Yoshi and (suited) Samus, so they'll be top of my list. It'd be awesome if they could be activated on the gamepad without taking them out of their packaging. That would give me more incentive to collect them.
These things still seem pointless to me!
Skylanders went down really cheap when Skylander Giants came out, I wonder if it'll be the same with Amiibos.
Anyway, I'll buy all the Fire Emblem ones anyway.
Ok well, all 12 are on Amazon.co.uk to pre-order now, so I did and the total as of now, including postage, is £159.84 which is roughly €200.20. Eek, I think I will be removing a couple from that order as we find out what they do.
I hope it will be 11.99€-12.99€ here in Italy. I'd buy the 4 pillars of Nintendo first (Mario, Link, DK, and Samus) then get the others later. Who knows they'll sell them in packs like 4 figures for 40€/£.
Just been over to amazon uk and they are showing all 12 amiibo at £12.99
I agree with abz, I'm a sucker for collecting but I keep all my figures mint on card, the packaging is so cool I won't want to open them...until its a little clearer about what they actually do
There is no way I can justify spending this much on these as it stands. I was tempted by a couple of them but Nintendo is going to have to really work at instilling value in these purchases. I'm hoping for an amiibo direct before they launch.
So, is there an actual release date set yet?
When will the next 12 be announced? Bet Toad and Luigi will be in the next batch. I wonder if they will release any limited edition Amiibo's before Christmas, like silver or gold Mario or Peach or Pikachu or Fox.
I'm a totes sucker for this stuff, didint even know I wanted any of them.
@Berezau Yay! The perks of being Australian and paying crap-loads for everything aye! I still really want some of them though lol
I expected £15 so I'm pleased.
Euro prices are also available at least in Finland, just ordered Link for 16,90€.
I would have been interested at £9.99 but that extra one pound has put me off for now at least.
I'm okay with the Australian price. I'm probably only going to buy one anyway. But which one...
oh yeah 18 bucks for 'stra'a is a bloody outrage mate! I ought to order me flamin' amibos from the yanks and let a dingo eat their bloody baby.
Guys, I live in Australia and official price for each is 29.99 dollars EACH! The news are wrong!
@King_Johobo exactly!
@Nick_The_Greek That was a holder price, Nick. The $17.95 price is confirmed.
and I guess the figurines are region locked too? wouldn't surprise me knowing Nitnendo
and I guess the figurines are region locked too? wouldn't surprise me knowing Nitnendo
Who's going to peel them off the blister pack ? once you open them the packet is no good i wish they where in an easy to open box.
People will be buying backup's for the ones they want to use so one keeps mint and the other is for heavy use.
So it'll be around 12€ for the rest of Europe?
I want the Star Fox one but unsure what it does? If I use it in Mario Kart Wii U does that mean I'll have Fox McCloud as a usable character?
@turnmebackwards Amiibo's use outside of Smash Bros. is completely unknown.
Will Amiibo be region-locked? Let's say, if I buy a JP version Super Smash Bros 3DS, will it be possible to use US version Amiibo?
I know it's sounds ridicules, but I think I will not be surprised either way.
@readyletsgo - "I wonder if they will release any limited edition Amiibo's before Christmas, like silver or gold Mario or Peach or Pikachu or Fox.'
I think you're getting ahead of yourself, it's already Sept and THESE don't even have a release date for Christmas yet
Is the picture of all 12 actually them in the box, b/c no matter how hard I try I can't see any sign of the ugly brown bases they stand on. Did Nintendo photoshop them out?
Well they look the same on Amazon so I guess that's them:
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Yoshi-amiibo-Wii-U/dp/B00N4ABT1C/ref=sr_tr_sr_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1409840326&sr=8-1&keywords=amiibo
Guess marketing realized those bases are ugly and made sure to leave them out when looking at photos of the box. Job well done marketing team.
I would also have been happier with £9.99, but I'm not planning to buy all of them so that's cool.
huh cheeper than i was expecting (£15) so thats a bonus
@rjejr HA! I know, I know, thinking way too much there with special edtion Amiibos.
And yes I saw that too, the bases have been removed for the stock photos. But the base is shown on the Mario one on the New 3DS, so people will kinda know there is a base attatched.
and don't forget, Game normally discounts the Skylanders and Disney figures as time passes plus there are plenty of used ones so it won't be £10.99 forever, not when they'll need to make room for new figures coming.
Well, it's cheaper than Skylanders (£11.99 at my local GAME)
@Grumblevolcano It's took months for a price & still no release date & no idea what they even do I think I'll wait.
Currently on Amazon UK, some are £10.99 and others £12.99 which seems a bit odd...?
I'm buyig Wii Fit Trainer and Link.
I'm buying Wii Fit Trainer and Link.
I'm buying Wii Fit Trainer and Link.
datamonkey: That is strange. They were all £12.99 earlier. You think they would match the price of Nintendo at least.... May come down more later. Has there been indication of a release date anywhere?
Definitely buying Pikachu (my main), but I don't know of I should either get Link or wait for Toon Link (he was much better and I used him much more in Brawl). I have to start planning which to buy or else I'll lose all my money :/
Its worth noting that Disney Infinity 2.0 figures now cost £13-17 each, £27-30 for the 2 pack. I mainly want the Amiibo as figures but now i'm wondering how long they will be useful on the gaming side. Skylanders figures are useless when the next one comes out since they are essentially physical dlc keys while most Disney Infinity figures only work in the toy box.
Was hoping for £9.99 but suppose another quid won't break the bank. Ninty needs to learn conversion rates
I want Marth, Link, Samus, Pikachu, and definitely Zelda... But why is she not listed here? I saw her in other amiibo ads...
Meh, i might buy Marth and Samus, because their figures look good just by themselves, so even if the whole 'toys in games' thing doesn't grab me then at least ill have figures of characters that normally don't receive figures.
ohhh, fox looks cool too.
I was hoping there would be a box set with all 12 for a discount. Say £100 for all 12.
Then when the next set of 12 is released, same again. Thats if they keep releasing in them amounts.
IMO think it's good that the amiibos are neither cheap looking nor cheap in price! Remember those are not just skylanders or what ever figures! They can store data and work with more than one game. I rely on my experience with Nintendo, that when something has it's price, they also deliver value for it!
FINALLY. $18... If I drop Skylanders, otherwise I'll just get my favourites.
I AM SO PUMPED FOR AMIIBO YESSSSSSSSSS
@readyletsgo - Maybe next year we can pay more for some brightly colored amiibo like these old yet new again Eon's Elite Skylanders:
http://www.gamestop.com/collection/skylanders-trap-team?cid=eml_10001637
There better not be any Gamestop exclusives though.
@rjejr I really hope that Nintendo don't do any amiibo reposes with extra features like Skylanders did with giving reposes path-switching and an extra upgrade. They're already going to be doing multiple versions of characters for different games, it seems, which is probably enough to keep characters people need for amiibo features in circulation. I like how Disney Infinity has no repose rubbish (granted it has worse content-locking than Skylanders with Power Discs and the chests in-game).
Well Amazon France is listing amiibos for 12.99€ now. I guess that would be the SRP on all € countries.
@Drawdler - "Disney Infinity has no repose rubbish"
Well DI characters have really only been out for 1 year, and Skylanders didn't start doing reposes until year 2, so that's not a completely fair comparison. Did save me money though, my kids have 40 Skylanders but no reposes. Oh wait, we have gold, bronze and silver Spyro, who isn't even reposed, just painted different colors.
Also, Disney owns just about every mass cultural media category of importance - Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, Pixar - so they have about 300 years worth of characters before they have to resort to reposes. 350 years if they would acknowledge Song of the South.
Nintendo has less than Disney (even w/ 720 Pokemon) but they won't make stuff up like Skylanders, so I expect reposes at some point. Did you notice Mario and his backward fireball (why is he catching it?). Somebody - not I but somebody - must want all the Marios - metal, tanooki, small, extra large, cat. Though technically I suppose they aren't reposes, but a similar concept. Did you read that ALL SSB characters will have 8 different color palettes, some representing different costumes. By holiday 2015 there probably will be another Mario.
