@Jprhino84 Nobody shops at GAME. Horrendous overpriced shop. Had one near me, went in twice in about 10 years. Never bought anything from there. It shut down months ago.

@Duncanballs Yeah they hold up very well, when I got it home I was amazed how much power there was in this little purple box.

@Duncanballs The Gamecube was superb...I saw a demo machine in Dixons with WaveRace on it, as soon as I got my hands on the controller I was sold. I picked up mine with Rogue Squadron and Monkey Ball.

@Crecca You can still get it for $50 (or £35 in the UK) as a pack in...which I think most people opted for. Definitely what I'm opting for.

@Yosher That was one short period out of many decades, both guys used to get slated non-stop, "Iwata should step down", "Fire Reggie" and "Nintendo should go third party" were pretty much being used as punctuation marks around these parts, not forgetting "If Yamauchi was still here he would have slapped some sense into him" but at the same time there were still tons of Nintendo lawsuits and copyright strikes flying around during that very rough patch...those were strange times.

@Medic_alert yeah generally I just leave him be as I have no idea of his circumstances. I don’t sense any malice in anything he posts whereas there’s loads of other people on here who are just outright tools…

@Medic_alert I think last time I responded to him I said “yeah we know…” after hearing his spiel for nearly 10 years it barely registers. It’s a bit like eating outdoors and you get an occasional fly hovering around, a wave of the hand and carry on.

@Dr_Lugae Exactly how it played out with the Switch. Passed all their previous home consoles: “yeah but it’s a handheld! It should be judged against the 3DS. Wii doesn’t count. Lightning in a bottle. Microsoft won that gen!!!”

Passes 3DS: “yeah but it will never catch the Wii!” (even though they said it didn’t count)

Passes the Wii: “It’ll never pass the PS4!” etc etc rinse and repeat….

Gets close to the PS2: Jim Ryan magically finds a few million more PS2s in his sphincter…

So it’s outsold the entire Xbox Series in one week…not bad.

It’s almost a repeat of the Switch launch, people are getting desperate in their attempts to discredit it and cast doubt along with a flurry of trolls in the comments from who knows where.

We had some clown called Sligeach on the site back then, he’d be in here looking for the tiniest little thing to say it needs a product recall, saying there’s loads on the shelves in his little backwater in Ireland, it’s just a honeymoon period etc etc.

I think he got banned about 5 times. Same tactics different product.

8% of the people who voted are disappointed. It's over Nintendo, or something, who knows....

@tobsesta99 Maybe some people have financial responsibility and understand the concept of.....saving up for something? They've had 8 years to save up for a successor. Weird assumption that everyone in here is on the breadline and Nintendo is making people's families starve with their new kit.
