I was waiting for this hot potato to get posted, waiting for the edgelords to turn up, and they will...thing is, if people didn't brag and boast online all the time to try and appear cool and edgy (in the world of videogames of all things ), these things would have quietly existed under the radar.

One game: begins with a D and ends with a ragon Quest VII. Loving it, 25 hours in now and some of the twists and turns are insane.

@traceman yep framerate means nothing when pulling strategies out from menus. It’s not exactly twitch response when 90% of the game is reading stuff.

@hendie100 doesn’t bother me in the slightest. When I’m done with it it’s just gonna be sitting on a shelf gathering dust like all the other games I’m done with. It’s just not that serious in my eyes. I was 90% digital on the OG Switch.

@AussieMcBucket I never worry about opinions from gamers, they could post an article saying Happy Wednesday and the comments would be full of people saying they preferred Tuesday and they’re not really looking forward to Thursday.

Great sales for a great game. Thoroughly enjoying it at the moment! I imagine it did great numbers digitally too.

@JohnnyMind might just be me but I prefer the subtle accent colours, makes it look and feel more premium compared to the last outing.

@JohnnyMind I never used my grips, even going back to the OG Switch. The whole concept of joycons loose in each hand won me over straight away.

@JohnnyMind for people that don't use pro controllers and enjoy using the joycons, you'll see the colours all the time. This is for those people. Mine sit on the arm of my couch/on the coffee table loose all the time...

@RiasGremory my thoughts exactly, it's a party game with a bonus single player mode thrown in. Not the other way round.

11 hours in and I’m enjoying it, basic field and sea battles I just stick on auto tactics to get them out of the way, it’s a cozy game so far! Too early to tell whether I prefer it to XI, the mechanics are very similar though.

Managed to pick up my copy of Dragon Quest VII yesterday, looking forward to it...

Been playing a lot of Yakuza Kiwami recently, on chapter 8 and got my groove back after being rusty for a bit. Also another of my casual cruises through Mario Kart World, I still haven't done the 100-150cc cups...was hoping to pick up DQ7 but Amazon and Argos don't seem to have it in stock!

@iMahvel_ @Johnny44 It’s a 2025 account - expect nothing less really. Some people set up accounts to cry and wet the bed, hoping to dissuade people from buying a Switch 2. They’ve failed. But the fire still burns in their lives for some reason.

Quite a selection, outside of gaming circles most people don’t own every console and a gaming pc. For me as a Switch/Switch 2 only owner that was packed. I could easily own the other consoles or a PC but can’t be arsed as I prefer convenience.

Also it’s great to see how people aren’t leaving money on the table with the Switch 2. Capcom’s throwing everything at it.

Never played the previous versions before, streamlined or not, don't care, I'm getting it, I liked the demo. Looks like I will be getting my money's worth out of it.

I'm sure they'll be happy with those Kirby sales - it will carry on selling throughout the Switch 2's lifespan.
