Right, I want a new Zelda, a new Mario, Metroid Prime 5, a new Animal Crossing, a 4k model of the Switch 2, £500,000 in cash, an 8TB NAS drive, a hot Brazilian girlfriend, a constant 24/7 stream of updates from Nintendo or I will scream. I'm not being unreasonable.
@Duncanballs oh man, there’s some islands where the people are absolute idiots, one where they rewrote history and I sat there going “tossers!” 😆 (albeit a stronger version of the word) yet there’s still an overriding arc which sits in the background throughout the whole game.
@Duncanballs it’s superb. I love the whole future/past mechanic. No two islands work the same. There’s so many chests I still want to unlock that I can’t.
@Misima mad thought, but there's a huge amount of people out there who buy games that don't even give specialist sites like this a cursory glimpse, gaming sites are an absolute microcosm, basically a rag tag bunch of enthusiast social clubs. 99.99998% of the raging in here means nothing at all.
I walk past a Games Workshop every day, there's dudes in there who are probably at war with each other completely unaware of what goes on in here, I just walk past and don't give it a second thought.
@dew12333 It's always so black and white, no accounting for people who just don't care either way because it's not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. It's just games.
@ThatOneLevel I would imagine most people get the bundle which would be seen as a digital sale, which won’t show up on these charts at all. Buying the bundle meant I got it for roughly £20 here. Saved about £40. Makes sense.
I’m not going blind. The SNES was left off the poll. For me it was Link to the Past. I never beat it but definitely admired it. Took a big break but never got truly into Zelda games until Wind Waker on the GameCube. After Jet Set Radio I knew cel shaded was a truly timeless art style. I didn’t beat it then either, I got to the triforce shards and gave up. Ocarina of Time came with the Wind Waker bundle, I tried it up to the Forest Temple, but after playing Wind Waker it felt primitive. I just never got on with the N64 at all.
The first Zelda I completely beat was Twilight Princess HD on the Wii U. Loved it. Which made me follow up and beat Wind Waker HD. Followed by BOTW, Link’s Awakening, Skyward Sword HD which I love, TOTK and I’m still not done with Echoes of Wisdom.
I had a huge gap where I didn’t care about games. Too many other things going on.
Much like last week, Dragon Quest 7. Too many things keep happening consecutively in the game but I have to make myself stop. 35 hours in plus my characters are levelling up nicely. Great game. Trying to be careful what I say so I don’t spoil it for people who are earlier into the story.
Great numbers for DQ7 on the OG Switch…from my experience with DQXI, handheld is the best way to grind these games. I spent most of my time levelling up on a couch or a bean bag not tied to the TV.
I was waiting for this hot potato to get posted, waiting for the edgelords to turn up, and they will...thing is, if people didn't brag and boast online all the time to try and appear cool and edgy (in the world of videogames of all things ), these things would have quietly existed under the radar.
@hendie100 doesn’t bother me in the slightest. When I’m done with it it’s just gonna be sitting on a shelf gathering dust like all the other games I’m done with. It’s just not that serious in my eyes. I was 90% digital on the OG Switch.

There it is, in all its glory…👆
Re: UK Charts: Resident Evil Requiem Switch 2 Sales Comparable To Cyberpunk 2077
@chiptoon online discourse and real world sales are two different things. Comment section opinions rarely represent real life.
Re: UK Charts: Resident Evil Requiem Switch 2 Sales Comparable To Cyberpunk 2077
Poor Xbox. Only posting here in anticipation of the Bluey post.

@FredsBodyDouble The goalposts. They never stop moving.

Why are these poll questions done in a way that I can’t pick a single answer?
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Gets Nintendo Switch 2 Upgrade, Out Now
@BLK_4EVER fantastic. Sounds brilliant. How much was your new graphics card out of curiosity? 😀

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Gets Nintendo Switch 2 Upgrade, Out Now
@Folkloner Exactly. This only affects about 400 noisy online neckbeards worldwide who are emulating it anyway.
"$5!!??!?!?!? I'm not paying that much!!!!"
(buys a $1200 graphics card a week later..)

@BLK_4EVER which multi billion corporation? Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Valve, Apple…there’s a few. 😀
Re: 13 Switch Emulators Hit By Latest Wave Of Nintendo Takedowns
I did say they would turn up lol…edgetastic.

Re: Forget The Talking Flower, This Is The Cutest Upcoming Mario Toy
@TrogdorTheBurninator yep I'm sure all the game developers that work at Nintendo dropped everything to make this toy.
Re: Forget The Talking Flower, This Is The Cutest Upcoming Mario Toy
I know what I'm getting my sis for her birthday now...
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (14th February)
One game: begins with a D and ends with a ragon Quest VII. Loving it, 25 hours in now and some of the twists and turns are insane.
Re: Japanese Charts: Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined Blows The Competition Out Of The Water
@IronMan30 Amerikurr…Fork yeah!
Re: Japanese Charts: Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined Blows The Competition Out Of The Water
@Kriandis there are some really funny moments in the game. I love how all the islands have different dialects.
Re: Reminder: Switch 2's New Joy-Con Set Is Out This Week
"I can't see the colours!!!!??!??!?!?! Pointless!!!!!!!"
Huge circular coloured rings around the analogue sticks are now invisible because reasons. Noted.
Re: Japanese Charts: Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined Blows The Competition Out Of The Water
@IronMan30 you mean Maaaattt Daaaaymen?
Re: Japanese Charts: Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined Blows The Competition Out Of The Water
@Duncanballs Oh man...it's what keeps me coming back to this place.
Re: Japanese Charts: Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined Blows The Competition Out Of The Water
@Duncanballs make it a Switch 2 exclusive (on GKC) just for the tears..
Re: Review: Mario Tennis Fever (Switch 2) - Slim For Singles, But An Addictive Core Gives It Online Legs
@KevinP nobody's stopping you from walking away if you're this disappointed. Don't let games wind you up like this.
Re: Japanese Charts: Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined Blows The Competition Out Of The Water
@traceman yep framerate means nothing when pulling strategies out from menus. It’s not exactly twitch response when 90% of the game is reading stuff.
Re: Japanese Charts: Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined Blows The Competition Out Of The Water
@Andgiles61 Wow! Just under 20 hours for me so far…planning to savour it. I like to explore every nook and cranny.
Re: Japanese Charts: Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined Blows The Competition Out Of The Water
@johnedwin reread my comment. The first sentence.
Re: Japanese Charts: Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined Blows The Competition Out Of The Water
@johnedwin Japan has never been about graphics and power. Plus there’s still zillions of Switch owners over there.
