@SanderEvers I'm really hoping Ben Heck fixes the disc drive now that we know what's wrong with it [laser diode] and put a Super Boss Gaiden CD in it. Too much nostaligia and curiosity.

@PieNinja Do you even know junk media? They fearmonger against Muslims all the time for the actions of the extremists, often citing attacks where innocent Muslims are the victims. Eurogamer liked it, but really, it looks like a quality rehash from the 2000s. Might get it when the price gets reasonable, but certainly not until then. After all the money and time Comcept got this is underwhelming. At least Double Fine knows what they're doing. Still looking forward to ReCore though, but I think I'll wait for the reviews to come in on that one.

Whatever's going on in their minds, don't listen to the fanboys here, and get it right. Keep doing what you're doing with the exclusives (except Metroid) but make your x64 processor comparable at the least, and catch up on networking. Like it or not, Ocarina of Time or Xenoblade would not have happened on Super Nintendo hardware, and even a little eye candy doesn't hurt. And for the love of Samus, stop acting like every non-Mario game is a bloody dudebro chugging a Doritos and Mountain Dew smoothie. If you don't like Halo or Uncharted to each their own, but you don't see me calling Zelda a game for 4-year-olds. Cause unlike you, I'm grown up.

@Yoshi Exactly, it reminded me of how things aren't much better. Friend codes, no friend messaging (scratch that, that's a regression), system-based purchases, no automatic DST for those unfortunate enough to be bound by it, et cetera.

I really hope their next handheld's system software is better than this. I was trying to download Donkey Kong Country on my old Wii yesterday and it took a couple hours of waiting and restarting the system before it finally worked. Sure, most of that's server side, but it's not like it was very good to begin with. Nintendo needs to get with the times, fast.

Just saying, they don't need to show it off but an idea of what it is like would be nice.

@arnoldlayne83 Actually having launch titles? Unless you just got a Wii U (in which case you were warned), all this does is give people yet another reason to come back. And establishing a base is critical for Nintendo to gain support.

@Judgedean It'd be suicidal to go any further than 4K media playback, Ultra Blu-Ray support, upconverting, and an integrated PS VR processing unit.

No BC then? Sure the Xbox One has a long way to go, but there's something. I would've expected better from Nintendo. Hopefully SNES on the new 3DS isn't a sign of what's to come.

The game looks just as bad as I remembered it but it does seem like it'll play well. Still, New Super Mario Bros Wii and Halo 5: Guardians managed to go co-op without a terrible art style, and Rayman Origins pulled off an excellent new one if I don't say so myself. I might try a demo of this, but I doubt I'll get it.

Well that reinforces rumors Nintendo will compete with the current gen systems. Hard to say how long this gen will last though.

Better late than never, but Nintendo were idiots to have killed it. Nothing but a reminder of how archaic they are.

@Action51 Consoles tend to populate these concepts and execute them best so long as tech ins't a limiting factor (such as MMOs).

@MadAdam81 Because despite PS Move being a flop and Kinect being all but useless for gaming, MS and Sony have innovated far more. Look at Xbox Live and the PlayStation Store: online multiplayer, voice chat, indie devs, and cross buy. Nintendo's behind, we want them to be the industry leader like they were many years ago.

@Hordak They should return to a classic controller like the Xbox One, support game streaming on Windows and Linux, and if it's powerful enough, maybe the Wii remote with Oculus support. That would be genius.

Impressive. While the gains aren't consistent (lack of GPU improvement outside of VRAM [hence the better textures] is likely the bottleneck), they're there. I wonder if all 3DS games will be able to take advantage of this one day, like the aforementioned homebrew allows. Still won't get one of these (gotta save up for a new laptop), but I'd definitely recommend spending the extra buck if you don't have a 3DS already.

I download on handheld but buy physical on console. Steam is the only exception. Their next console should have a 1TB SSHD for installing games so they can have both some of the speed benefit of SSDs while retaining the value of HDDs.

Kimishima, you'd better watch your ***. In all seriousness, I hope this guy's gotten a little better at managing his temper. He had a right to be angry, but that outburst made him hard to take seriously. That said, I have no interest in this game but it doesn't look bad either. I guess we'll see.

Well that brings one question: How's development coming along?

3: Before you get overly defensive again, remember that I'm not dissing the gameplay or asking for the game to be cancelled. I only expected it to be delayed to reevaluate it like Miyamoto and the great team at Platinum did Star Fox Zero. At least the story won't be bad like Other M, which also had good gameplay.

@aaronsullivan Just saying, Persona Q had a way better take on the Chibi art style than this, not to mention the franchise being a thousand times better suited. That said, now that we've seen the gameplay Next Level Games did not disappoint. Still think I'm gonna skip this one, guess I'll have to go with Halo for my sci-fi fix. As far as art's concerned, it's the closest thing.
