Re: Review: AeternoBlade (3DS eShop)

Vincent294

Shame. Demo was decent, but glitchy. And while graphics aren't everything, they seemed to indicate they weren't too interested in getting much out of the 3DS. The gameplay concepts were good, and the protagonist had good lines, but the game predictably was a bit botched. Maybe these guys can get things right next time.

Re: Talking Point: The Watch_Dogs Wii U Delay Demonstrates That Major Third-Parties Are Walking Away

Vincent294

@hylianhalcyon Exactly. Nintendo needs to get it together, which they are now just starting to do. I'm sick of how fanboyish some sites can be, and this site is starting to take that direction. Wii U is a good niche system from what I've heard, but even Ubisoft can only afford to be so kind. Watchdogs probably won't be that last 3rd party game to grace Wii U, but it will certainly be the beginning of even less support. I wish NLife made an article about how Nintendo can make a comeback instead of sensationalist or we'll be okay articles. Niche stuff is nice and all, but can we get a better network experience on 3DS? Can Nintendo pay Rockstar Games to port GTA V with Yoshi, mushroom hallucinations, and a bunch of funny exclusive stuff? A few things like this could persuade people to buy a Wii U. 2014, X still isn't here, network accounts aren't finished, slow download speeds, no advertisement, etc. Better late than never, so hopefully Nintendo gets back on it. Iwata's a capable guy, after all.

Re: Iwata And Miyamoto Both Take Pay Cuts In Response To Nintendo's Poor Financial Results

Vincent294

@MoonKnight7 So true. This is what America should be like. Wii U is a flop. Next time, if they do better, of course they can raise their pay. Until the Wii U makes a comeback or something, this is what they should do. In America, the top screws the bottom in favor of having even more money they don't need or deserve. They get paid hundreds of times the wages of others for a position that isn't that much harder. Then they give bribes to politicians sometimes or pay to pressure them w/ lobbyists. America...even the government's overpaid.

Re: Capcom Claims Its New Panta Rhei Game Engine Can Be Adapted To Any System

Vincent294

@SCAR392 You do realize that while the Wii U is 8th gen, its processors, namely the CPU, may not be able to handle the kinds of games a PS4 can. If the game isn't pushing the PS4 to its limits, then the game can be ported to the Wii U easily. But if it does push the PS4 to its limits, even the best of game engines cannot help the Wii U run it. That's that. It's why 3DS has Resident Evil: Revelations but not GTA V or Skyrim.

Re: A Third-Party "Secret Developer" Gives an Inside Story of Working on Wii U

Vincent294

@GC-161 It's not necessarily them so much, they're certainly not amazing programmers. But what about a smaller game studio trying to get something on Wii U? Well, they could need help. and it's not like an indie studio can afford to hire a translator. Without help, it can take a while to optimize for them: look at Two Tribes's recent troubles. The lesson to be learned is if Nintendo's friendlier, they'll get more devs or more ambitious games.

Re: A Third-Party "Secret Developer" Gives an Inside Story of Working on Wii U

Vincent294

@Yorumi You must've stopped reading my post halfway through or forgot I said, "I'm not saying Nintendo needs to help them w/ everything; they need to offer some help." As for the bias in the comments section I referred to, I never said Nintendo sucked. I said this is a mistake. I love their games. You only prove the bias in the comments section by how much you misinterpreted what I said. So if I give one criticism to Nintendo I hate them? Wow, I get a lot of hate here just for speaking my mind. At least this isn't as bad as Sony fanboys.

Re: A Third-Party "Secret Developer" Gives an Inside Story of Working on Wii U

Vincent294

@GC-161 He had "very limited development time." If the publisher didn't want him to take the time to do experiment w/ optimizing, he had no choice but to ask Nintendo. Heck, look at Two Tribes. They couldn't even afford to do it. They took time optimizing on their own, and look at what happened to them. They barely scraped by. It wouldn't hurt to give a little advice. You're right, devs need to do work on their own. But they are also held by constraints, like time or budget; Nintendo does nothing about this. If they want more 3rd party games they need to put out big games of their own or help out the devs a little, because nothing will change. The bias on this site is ridiculous. Apparently, it's okay for devs in Japan to skip Xbox because they don't translate any help to devs, but if it happens to Nintendo, people here are outraged. I'm not saying Nintendo needs to help them w/ everything; they need to offer some help. Is that much to ask for?

Re: EA Germany Survey Fails To Acknowledge The Wii U

Vincent294

No surprises here. Wii U sales are bad to begin w/, how does EA address that? Crappy ports. Yeah, because that helped the sales a lot now, didn't it? And they complain. They could've gotten some sales had there been better ports & Battlefield 4. The only good port from them is NFS: Most Wanted.

Re: Nintendo Titles Continue To Be Illegally Peddled On Android Google Play Store

Vincent294

It's one thing to put Nintendo's old games up on the App Store or Google Play for free. When you make money off that however, that's when it's just sad. Really? Speaking of Google Play, I've seen a lot of these on Google Play. Google is just lazy w/ this, like how they never fix all the major bugs w/ Android Froyo. I thought Windows Vista was bad, then Android Froyo came & was like "You haven't seen anything!" Apparently there are fixes in the newer versions of Android. Well if Google wants me to buy a new phone w/ their OS to get a more functional phone, screw them. They can forget my money. That's like buying a defective car & Honda saying "Well this year's Civic fixes that."

Re: Wii Karaoke U Doesn't Censor Explicit Lyrics

Vincent294

I'm annoyed by excessive censorship, so no censorship of the lyrics is nice. The lack of explicit song warnings however, is a poor decision (Nintendo needs to follow iTunes as an example). I don't know what song that was up there, but man, is that generic. Looks like mainstream rap to me. If you want quality rap (though it still tends to have swearing), listen to Lupe Fiasco, Fort Minor, Kanye West, Hopsin, etc. I think Kanye West is the one of the only rappers to have a profanity-free album, which is a rarity. Swearing when it isn't for the sake of swearing in music is okay on my opinion, but sometimes it seems that isn't always the case.

Re: Nintendo Comes Up Empty at the Golden Joystick Awards

Vincent294

AC3: Liberation won handheld game of the year? Shin Megami Tensei IV & Fire Emblem: Awakening were better (I've heard Liberation was good, but there's no way from what I've heard that it's better). Yogscast is overrated & GTA V definitely would've won best humor if there was a category for that, but it's not quite the game of the year.

Re: Microsoft Wants You To Know That Its Surface Tablet Can Play SNES Games

Vincent294

Halo 4 Online Multiplayer Match:
Announcer: "Reggie is having a killing spree."
Reggie: "Suck it Microsoft Marketing Team! I'm about kicking a**, making games, & taking names. How about you?"
Microsoft Marketing Employee: "Uhh...we allow you to play Nintendo games on our Surface tablet."
R: "How's Halo on the Surface?"
MME: "Wait? Halo is on the surface. It can't emulate that."

Re: Capcom Expects A Significant Decline in Packaged Games Come 2017

Vincent294

Makes sense. Too much unneeded DLC is bad, a few bigger packs that add notable stuff & new games every couple years are plenty. If digital games have good manuals (crap, even 3DS games have some on-cartridge manuals that are nice) then I wouldn't mind getting them. I have a few on my 3DS & Xbox 360, though I generally stick w/ retail copies. But by 2017, who know what will happen?

Re: Without iOS Support Nintendo "Doesn’t Reach Today’s Kids" Says Apple Advocate John Gruber

Vincent294

@NbaJunkie Exactly. I know I won't be playing on an iOS device anytime soon. No Shin Megami Tensei IV, Monster Hunter 4, Resident Evil Revelations, Bit Trip Saga, VVVVVV, Cave Story, or Mario Kart 7, & they would all control like crap on an iOS device. This statement is coming from a company that puts the small backspace key next to the confirm key. Because that's so smart, right? Heck, even though many kids do like iOS, quite a few people at my high school have 3DS, & kids still want them too. I feel like this guy was sent to try recruiting some real games beyond the casual short-burst experiences.

Re: Weirdness: Say Hello to the Cross Plane, a GamePad For Other Systems

Vincent294

Let me see...cheap looking, no exclusive games, unoriginal, even more expensive than a home console...yeah, I think a Wii U will do just fine. What a greedy unoriginal product. I doubt it's a coincidence too. If you want off-screen play for your PS3 / PS4, you're even better off w/ a Vita. Why get this? Who knows, maybe Xbox Smartglass will come to support off-screen play in the future for that matter.

Re: Monster Hunter 4

Vincent294

@Rigormortis It will have online multiplayer.

Can't Capcom just announce a release date for this in the US? Come on. I want a nice open-world online multiplayer RPG on my 3DS.
