Re: DOOM Eternal Producer Shares id's Side Of The Story After Composer Severs All Ties

If Bethesda just released a volume 1 and promised a free volume 2 to purchasers this could have been avoided. I'm sure they considered it and decided against it because of the advertised pre-order bonus, but they already delayed it once. They've disappointed more fans than if they delayed it. Sure Mick Gordon could have been more timely but they hired him only 3 months before release. What were they expecting?

Re: Microsoft Blocks NESBox Emulator On Xbox One

@Kirk Pretty sure MS can decide what they do and don't want on their store, and if you don't like it boycott them. It's not like they're being prejudiced or anti-competitive, they just don't want to enter this gray area. This would allow you to load any ROM, including pirated ones. Sure, it can be used legally, but it's still an unprecedented ability to pirate games on a video game console. They still offer it on PC, Mobile, and even HoloLens. I can see both sides to this argument, but it ain't a crime to go either way.

@LetsGoRetro Edgy. You just graduate middle school? Nah, that'd be too old for that. It might just blow your mind, but just cause you disagree with someone doesn't mean you have to call to arms to attack them off the site. I'm a professional world-renowned douche bag expert and I know a douche when I see one.

Re: The Xbox One Might Be Getting A NES Emulator

@SanderEvers It's a console. If it was a Windows 10 PC with exclusive games you could sideload software. Unless you're in Dev Mode with the source code for a UWP app, you can't.
Edit: It is the only console with modding. But other than that, it just has better app support than its rivals. If you can say just anyways.

@ALinkttPresent Emulators aren't illegal, only pirated ROMs are (though practically all ROMs are pirated). MS will almost certainly allow this so long as it contains none bundled. They did on PC and mobile. Interesting gray area to come out of universal apps though. On a related note, I know the weather app recently started working. Brings back memories from the Wii.

Re: Eidos Montreal "Never Thought About The NX" For Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

A shame, and if what we've heard about the NX is correct, it probably won't be able to handle this game for that matter. At least this looks good (and is from what I've heard), hence why I'll be getting this for my Xbox today. Still, maybe the console market is too crowded for Nintendo. On handheld they'll miss out on 3rd party games like this, but they'll have little competition to worry about.
