My favourite way of playing point&click games would be sitting leisurely on an armchair and enjoy beverage while having a pointer or something to move the cursor on other hand.
Broken Sword on Wii was perfect point and click game for playing on a TV. It even allowed your mates to have their own cursors for being able to play together! And Broken Sword 5 on Playstation uses the touchpad on Sony’s controllers for mimickin a mouse. You could place the Dualshock beside you and use it as a mouse pad, just beautiful!
I really don’t like holding game controller and having to run around the screen in point&click game.
The iPhone is marketed as a 5G forerunner, but what I absolutely despise is, that apple has decided to nickel and dime the EU customers by removing the mmWave from it!
@Burning_Spear
This is an article about defected Switches, and Drifting is another Switch related defect. Drifting is relevant issue in this topic.
And No! Nintendo is NOT fixing Joy Cons in Europe, and the support in my country declined my request to fix my 3 pairs of Joy Cons.
I cannot understand why would anyone not understand customers saltyness, when they have useless console? I have used ca. 200€ in broken controllers, that the manufacturer doesn’t fix, so I have put over 500€ into completely useless console.
And our Pro Controller drifts too, and I want that defect be aknowledged, AND compensated as well! And that is also relevant issue in discussion concerning a Switch associated defect.
I could even change my mind about the poll: Now that the PS5 controller has all the things, that I have grown to like in Nintendo consoles, AND Nintendo’s controllers don’t work at all, I might go ALL PS5 this gen.
What ever the battle system, I’d like them to explore the audience system more! I absolutely loved it in TYD, and thought that it would be fitting element in Paper Mario games. Such a shame, that they didn’t use the audience after TYD!
It could be a fun way to sidestep building an experience system; battles and deeds in game world would increase your fame, and more people would come to watch your battles, and over time the small summer theater stage would become a Royal Theater.
Different theaters would have different props which could be used in battles.
The ticket sales would explain the money, that come from battles, and bigger venues would bring higher income.
Popular enemies would make encounters uphill battles as their fans would boo and disturb the match, and some times one possible strategy for winning a battle could even be in trying to win the crowd first, and thus break the home field advantage of the enemy.
Perhaps stylistic and succesful skill moves and use of comical stunts could make the crowd enjoy the battles and cheer you up.
I haven’t tried this one yet, as I fear that the battles are not rewarding and are therefore pointless, but idk, maybe I need to look into it, because the battlesystem looks really interesting to me.
I get bored in jrpgs really easily because of battles, and if the game is very long, I might get bored of its battle system during one game, let alone having to play the damn battle system over several games. If nothing new happens in sequel, I will hard pass it.
@sixrings Yeah, I’d rather have wireless local co-op on every Switch game, that would actually be one of the killer features, why I bought the Switch for. But that is a very Switch-specific feature, and developers seem to shun features, that are specific to one system.
But then again, what Square implemented here....IS LOCAL CO-OP, and that’s why I don’t get the uproar.
The man said, that you can play locally.
But yeah, Add local wireless play on every Switch game!
The man said: ” play together in the same location”
Seems to me, that this is done properly. And I applaud that they went the extra mile to make the original vision as accessible as possible, in a reasonable way.
The game was made to be played with 4 systems for having personal viewpoint for each player, and a typical lazy couch co op implementation would have been watered down experience. (Well, the myrrh bucket was made to keep players mostly together, but still...)
What is it with Nintendo only dealing with their problems in America? Just like with the Joycon drift defect. Are the other regions not good customers?
I’m digital only gamer, but leaving a card reader away wouldn’t really have much impact on the size or price of the console, so I’d rather have it there just in case I find bargain physical games.
@FlashBoomerang Thanks, but I’ll wait until Nintendo starts aknowledging that european customers are customers too, and that opening the joycon my self wouldn’t give them any excuse to deny repair from me.
@FlashBoomerang
I called Bergsala, two times, but they said, that: ”fixing the drift is so expensive, that you should just buy new joy cons, and without warranty the customer would have to pay everything.”
(Also, both times the same Bergsala guy told me, that he have never heard about any problems with joycons and didn’t know anything about drifting)
Nah, I had it for a month, played the two or three half decent games and waited for playable games for the rest of the time, but since it became clear, that new games trickle in so slow and with poor quality as well, I stopped subscription.
I don’t want my Nintendo like that. Apple doesn’t seem to be able to afford very good games with that business model, why should Nintendo undervalue its property? Does this guy want Nintendo to lower its quality, or even go out of business?
I have been waiting for two generations to be able to play Animal Crossing, because I wasn’t interested on playing on my daughters island previously, and I thought that finally I could get my own island as Switch OS has own profiles for each player for each game.
But what is this!? I should buy two more Switches and three copies of the game so that my daughters can get their own islands and I could get my own.
What if my Wife wants to play? I need to buy a fourth Switch!?!
This Switch deal is getting worse and worse.
(We Also have 4 pairs of drifting Joy Cons)
Fffffuuuuuuuu
I’m losing my religion. And I have been such a Nintendo fanboy!!1!1!1
For me local co-op is the best form of gaming, and that is where the Switch really shines(in addition to gyro aiming, which is a requirement for me)! I hate split screens, and with Switch, you can have own screens for each player without any hassle.

Re: Someone Thinks They've Resolved Nintendo's Joy-Con Drift Problem With An Incredibly Simple Fix
My Joy-Cons drifted right out of the box though.
But!
Ok! Now that there is a simple fix, Nintendo can start fixing them in EUROPE!!
!
I am not opening them for not voiding my guarantee.
It is Nintendos job to fix their manufacturing fail.

Start repairing them in other countries as well!
Now they are talking like they are handling the issue, but they are only handling it in US.
In Europe, they do nothing!
Start fixing your defected products Nintendo!
AND!
It’s not only the Joy-Con issue!
The Pro Controllers drift too!
And I want that repaired as well!

No. I want my defected products repaired, or at least compensated.
Re: Nintendo Apologises After Multiple Customers Receive Faulty Consoles Out Of The Box
I’d rather take broken console, than drift.
The drift makes the console as useless as a bricked console, but Nintendo doesn’t fix the drift.

All our 4 Joycon pairs drift. I tried to borrow my brothers joycons for our kids birth day party, but they drifted as well.
And the drift gets worse and worse over time.
Nintendo: start fixing them in EU as well.

I have PS4 Pro, but I buy Switch version of a game if it has gyro controls.

The future is latency!
Latency is the worst thing, that could happen to games.
Re: Video: Cloud Gaming Is Viable In The Future Based On This Assassin's Creed Odyssey Review
The most concerning thing in cloud gaming to me is, that even with fastest connections the latency is so big, that it would affect game design.
