On the one hand it appears to be very slow paced, presumably suitable for younger gamers, on the other hand it actually looks much less colourful and vibrant than other Yoshi games, which presumably wouldn't be as appealing to young children.
Often on Sundays in the summer months, usually slightly hungover, I'll wonder through the Saitama countryside with a friend of mine, and upon sight of small mammals trying to catch bugs, be pleasantly reminded of the origins of Pokemon.
@AlonditeFE
There's usually a cool new fairy type.
Apparently there's nine dual types not yet done,
one of which is bug/dragon, which to my mind is what Goodra (my favourite Pokemon) really ought to be.
@HandHeld3fectAce
But then they have had dual type starter Pokemon, so don't seem too wedded to perfect equilibrium.
First two work I think, but include a type that's already in the established three.
Dark, psychic, fighting I like. Think they've been used as secondary types for starters, but they didn't quite make the combinations circular, if that makes sense.
From what I'm reading, flying, fighting, rock is the only perfect triangle (equal in strength against and resistance from) other than the original, that uses three new types.
Being tired of a complaint doesn't give any validity to an opinion.
"if you don’t like it don’t support it". And we're not. In conjunction with this we are also sharing our views and explaining why, on a Nintendo site. If you don't like it, don't read it.
"are maybe some people fine with the pricing?"
I don't think anyone is suggesting that no-one is okay with the pricing; they're giving their opinion on why it's not okay with them.
"So maybe some people don’t care so much about the price and just want excellent gaming for their switch 2."
Again, that doesn't detract from other human individuals giving their views.
The belief that if a majority of people like something that it must be good, or a good value proposition, also seems flawed to me, but you're allowed to have that opinion of course.
"For me personally I don’t care for sports games. So I’m not buying Mario tennis. Maybe for a lower price I would consider it."
An understandable view that would be strange for someone who had bought the game to respond to with "Sigh".
1) Not really ironic... People wanted the option of VC. But as that option hasn't been there, many are now subscribed to NSO and so want bare ports like this on there. You have to live in the reality that exists.
2) "Sigh" is not an argument, and I'm worried that you seem to think it is.
VC games back in the day were about £5-£7.
Adjust for inflation and the market, maybe £10 might feel okay.
So charging what they are for this, whilst not giving consumers the choice for most games with VC, is the worst of both worlds.
3) Well it is. Paying a lot for a decades old GBA port.
Again, your rhetorical question, it's not an argument.
4) I wouldn't advocate piracy either, to be fair.
5) I mean, I GBA isn't that difficult to play, not like you have to hook your TV up to a different system.
Maybe more details are coming, but there doesn't even seem to be even basic quality of life improvements that might make it more enticing.
@larryisaman
I think that's where I'm at as well.
Psychologically that £7 (it's 16.99 I think) feels quite big.
@ShadLink
Bizarre comments.
I'm not invested in being a 'true fan', and I really hope that's not your motivation for playing games either, but is your choice of course.
No-one is being prevented from having fun with any game;
this a Nintendo website (that one chooses of their own volition to visit) where people talk about games, and sometimes the value proposition of those games.
Them expressing their opinion, no matter how assertively,
doesn't, or at least shouldn't, have any bearing on your enjoyment of any given game.
That seems to be a bad example, as didn't they change course quite quickly? More broadly, I think western companies are more malevolent, whereas in Japan it comes across as more borne out of stubborness, which I suppose is slightly more commendable (I don't know of course though, I'm not actually in the board rooms). I've offered quite a sum of money for a simple service or item in Japan and been refused because it is mildy incongruous or deviates slightly from their set course; can be quite comical.
I always thought the two main legendaries were a missed opportunity; as the setting was heavily inspired by Britain, they should have been a lion and a unicorn.

Stadium has much better mini-games I think.

I feel the grass, fire, water trio is getting a little stale.
You could have flying, fighting, rock.
Or fairy, fighting, steel.
Can you think of any others?
