I don't know, but if you think about it, it is the logic behind these fundraising schemes.
If you give money to a cancer charity because a celebrity has a bath in baked beans, then you should have been giving prior to that event already; cancer exists regardless of whether that celebrity has a bath in baked beans or not.

My initial reaction to that was,
if the idea is too ambitious for them to make work with a functioning camera,
then they shouldn't have pursued it.

But then, I suppose with that attitude we would never have gotten Mario 64.

I would buy second hand magazines from a small local game shop for the walkthroughs.

Seems insane now.

The problem these days is that in the race to be among the first to publish a walkthrough online, these guides understandably are quite sloppy.
What really needs to happen is that someone goes back and tidies them up a bit;
I've read walkthroughs on this site (though like I say, they're far from the only offender) that were so badly written and opaque that they actually hindered rather than helped my progress.

How I long for the sumptuous displays of game guides found in NMS.
Or perhaps I just miss being younger.

Almost feel like this should have been a Diddy Kong Racing revival.

Or probably more apposite,
the start of a Donkey Kong Racing series,
released a year or so after Bananza (time to iron out the issues this article refers to as well).
Theme seems generally better suited to the adventure elements.
You could have the classic Kongs, but also newer additions from Bananza.
And later release actual Mario Kart for people that like real Mario Kart.

Lap changes sound okay, but we already had that with some tracks.
Expanding the amount of racers in a race which leads to ever wider tracks isn't great.
A too empty open world isn't great either.

Mario Kart never needed to become open world,
and from what many have said, sounds like it doesn't suit it either.

Each new Mario Kart just needs new characters and tracks to represent the new adventure games released.

Grotesque indeed.

Just finished Alleyway on the Game Boy NSO.

I've recently myself more and more tired after work and resorting to ever simpler games to play in the evenings.

Decent fun.

So far this game looks far more thematically coherent than Odyssey to me.

There seems to be a direct relationship between how a game gets review bombed,
and how much it sells.
