I'm so disappointed Atlus didn't want to release this gem physically in Europe. I loved the demo, and would have gladly bought a physical copy Day One, but as a digital only title it automatically goes to the "get it from sale" list.
Not really a fan of expansion pass, but hey, Breath of the Wild was awesome even without it, and I doubt Xenoblade 2 is going to be any different. I'm sure the game is going to be massive as it is.
Also, so incredibly glad to see Japanese voices being Day One DLC. I'm so glad they listened to the feedback.
Gotta be honest, seeing all the new Pokemon and Misty and Brock being replaced with "OC do not steals" in a movie that is supposed to be about Ash and Pikachu in the beginning of the series is incredibly jarring. It's a shame, because the animation is top-notch and the premise had so much potential, had it just stuck with the old stuff that was relevant back in the day.
But not counting the lifting stuff from Samurai Shodown so evidently, the game itself looks really good and is a great fit for Switch. Have to keep an eye on it. And the trailer was pretty entertaining, despite all the dabbing involved.
@KoopaTheGamer From what I've heard from my sources, many shops had to increase the selling price just so they would be able to make any profit off of the consoles due to insufficient supply from Bergsala.
I think we've reached a new low point with Reggie's statements. It's like fans even have a choice with the market being in the state it is due to insufficient supply. And he has the gall to advise us not to pay more than what the actual stores ask for the console because they couldn't get enough copies to make profit for the ones they got with the regular price.
Actually got a bit mad over this statement, for real this time.
"If complaining to people who prefer to have the option for dual audio is such a huge deciding factor for you, then maybe you need a new hobby."
There. Sounds stupid, doesn't it? Just because you think the dub is OK doesn't mean all the others who don't think that way should "find a new hobby". More and more companies have realized that offering gamers options for the voice acting language is a good thing, even Nintendo themselves with the original Xenoblade, which makes the lack of dual audio in their more recent releases even more perplexing.
I can't wait to see these ones being made available for triple the price of the digital download, and then being sold out before the majority of the potential buyers have even managed to find one from online stores. And then seeing eBay listings with double the original price.
Because hey, this is Nintendo with their "limited goods" we're talking about here.
The controller itself looks really awesome, but bloody hell that price is waaay too steep. I would love to have one, but man, going to stick with the Joy-cons as long as the price stays on that level.
@WillTheLion Thanks for the info, I had a hard time trying to find out about it. I really do hope they would present this feature more, just to make sure it's actually included. As long as you can draw your own assets with the touchscreen, this is going to be great.
I was one of the people who really wanted this game to happen, and I'm really glad it's now true, but there's still one major thing that I think hasn't been presented in great enough detail.
Can you actually draw your own sprites?
Because if you can't, the selection of games is going to look seriously similar between each other, and that's a major problem. There's only so many games people want to download with the same Generic Fantasy Guy And His Friends starring in every game, maybe after a few DLCs we could see variation with Generic Sci-Fi Hero And His Friends.
The music is also one thing that's inevitably going to get repetitive, but at least the touchscreen is basically made for drawing your own stuff into the game. Even games like WarioWare DIY and ClaDun have managed to give the players the chance to draw their own player characters. Not having that chance in RPG Maker of all games is going to be a problem.
Glad to see it charted. The game is just a bloody brilliant fit for 3DS. The loading times between battles really don't bother you after you notice how much smoother the visible encounters and sped up battle system make the progress compared to the original.
If this turns out to be true, this one has the potential to be the best Mario Kart there is, hands down. 8 was great enough as it was, but fixing the Battle Mode alone makes the game near perfect. Can't say no to extra tracks and characters, either (although the likes of Pink Gold Peach don't amount to much).
I, too, feel like 9/10 is too generous for this version of Mario Maker, at the full price, at least. The online sharing and playing other users' levels is such a big part of the appeal of the original, and taking that away from the 3DS version really does hamper the overall experience, in my opinion. StreetPass sharing is pretty much useless outside Japan.
This is on the same level of cool as the GBC incompatibility screens featured here a while back. As in really cool. Especially the kinds of KoF there, the level of detail and in those chibi sprites is amazing.
Seriously considering double dipping for Gunvolt 2 just because even if the Striker Pack is going to happen in EU, I don't think I can deal with waiting for it to release when they still don't have it confirmed at this point.
First Gunvolt is definitely one of the best games available on eShop, when they manage to get the cut voice acting and story bits back in it.
Watching the hype train going off the tracks with this game is especially frustrating since there's still no concrete EU release date, but at least the window is still on Winter 2016. I'm so ready for this, it seems to fix all the problems I had with the original and bring even more awesome stuff in, along with a physical release we missed with the original IV.
I'm so glad to see this game happening outside Japan, especially when the amount of fan effort to convince them to localize the game has been acknowledged several times. Especially that part with fans sending actual letters to several key figures in the company in this day and age. Really makes you think about how much fans care about these games.
This game really needs the online features present in the WiiU version in it, it really seems to be a big dealbreaker for many people, including me. The half of the charm of the whole experience is gone if you can't share your creations to other players properly.
Deep Silver has confirmed on multiple occasions that both gamea are getting a retail release. A godsend for everyone involved.
@edhe I don't know the reason why the videos were changed that way, but they were just the E3 trailers for both games that have been around ever since... well, E3, only with the PEGI logo intro and the end screen showing both games with "winter 2016" release window. We're apparently getting the artbook that the US people got (although I think they are going to make it smaller since there apparently isn't going to be a special outer box like in the US), but not the pin set with SMT IV: Apocalypse.
I'd say this game is definitely worth it if you liked Adventure Bar Story and its characters, and even if you didn't, this is pretty much the cheapest and the most convenient way to get a mystery dungeon game on your 3DS at this point. Of course the modest production values show through, but in what CIRCLE games they don't?
I'm so glad they learned their lesson with the first one, and don't go cutting voice acting and story bits from the sequel when bringing it over. I'd buy this Day One, but the fate of the physical double pack in EU is still uncertain, so that pretty much decides if I'm going to get the digital version or buy the physical double pack. Seeing how Rising Star Games managed to make Shantae's physical 3DS release happen, I hope they can get the same deal for EU distribution of Gunvolt, too.
It's wonderful to see them actually making several trailers for it, as in actually trying to market the game this time around. Here's hoping people go and buy this, so that we might get the other 3DS Dragon Quest games while the platform is still relevant (mainly XI and the Dragon Quest Monsters remakes).
And yeah, something about that main theme always gets me, even though I don't consider myself a hugely devoted fan or anything. It's just very well composed main theme that somehow manages to tug some certain strings in my heart.
Would have loved to buy Cave Story for my DSi back in the day, but Nicalis just decided to ignore the EU region completely with it. Still have 800 points in there that I never got to use, and seeing how even Petit Computer was pulled from there, I don't know what to spend my remaining points on.
If they decide to bring this one over here, I sure hope they don't mash it up together with some Mario version. Would have loved to buy Z as a standalone title.

Makes you wonder why not show the time accurately right away if the system is there and it works?
Re: Spellbound Is A Wizard School Sim From The Publisher Behind Stardew Valley
Haha, that's clearly a nod towards Little Witch Academia with Lotte and Akko and... maybe Sucy, too(?) in the second screenshot.
Really hyped for this.

@Late Oh yeah, the weapon clash is there.

Re: Ninja Shodown Throws A Shuriken At Switch eShop Soon
Apparenty it was not enough to take the latter half of the name from Samurai Shodown, even the logo is eerily similar...

Re: My Nintendo Adds a Breath of The Wild Wallpaper to the Rewards Lineup

Re: Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Coming to 3DS on 19th May
Sad to notice a small print from the EU presentation during the part showing a cutscene, saying the game is going to feature only English voiceovers.
Why are they so against including the original Japanese voiceovers now?
Re: Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Coming to 3DS on 19th May
This was honestly the best news for me. Totally did not expect a new game still for 3DS, but man, am I glad this happened.
If they manage to release the game properly this time, I'm getting it Day One.
