There's a whole smorgasbord of Wii U and 3DS eShop goodies for you to feast on this week. If one of the many new releases doesn't grab your fancy, there are tons of tempting discounts to consider also. Let's get to it!
Wii U eShop
PONCHO (Rising Star Games, €8.99 / £7.99) - Explore an open world full of colourful characters, leaping between parallax layers to overcome obstacles and solve puzzles. Can you make it to the Red Tower, meet your Maker and ultimately save humanity? If you like pixel style platformers like Fez then you are in for a treat here. We'll review PONCHO soon, but until then why not check out our video interview with developer Delve Interactive?
Blasting Agent: Ultimate Edition (Ratalaika Games, €4.99 / £4.49) - Trouble in Antarctica! The Black Hand of Fate, an international Terrorist Group has constructed a secret base within the heart of a Volcano, and have built a massive army of bio-engineered soldiers and genetic monsters to take over the world! You are the only one that can put a stop to their dastardly plans. You are the Blasting Agent! This sounds like it could be quite interesting, watch out for our upcoming review.
Word Logic by POWGI (Lightwood Games, €8.99 / £7.99) - Enjoy six brand new POWGI word puzzles with this bumper collection of games. This time, the games share a common theme of logic and deduction. Solve hundreds of pencil-and-paper style puzzles using the stylus and a choice of intuitive touch-screen controls or handwriting recognition. We'll see how this shapes up in our review soon.
Citadale (Nitrolic Games, €4.52 / £4.09) - Citadale - Gate of Souls is a 2D Action game. You follow Sonja Dorleac as she Infiltrates a dark fortress and fights her way through the hordes of the undead. Utilize the Wii U GamePad and TV in different ways to view the entire map while you play. With Miiverse integration, you can obtain stamps as you progress through the levels and challenges. This sounds quite interesting, we'll be reviewing this soon.
Collateral Thinking (Astrosaurus Games, €2.99 / £2.69) - Collateral Thinking is an arcade-style action platformer for Wii U that's all about beating up alien ghosts, recovering blueprints, and rescuing billionaires on a tight schedule (and budget). Each level is a self-contained screen that gives you one of three specific tasks to complete in 30 short seconds – to "Avoid" all the hazards, to "Bust" all the enemies, or to "Collect" all the blueprints. Watch out for our upcoming review.
Wii U Virtual Console
Pokémon Snap (Nintendo, €9.99 / £8.99) - Have you ever wanted to see Pikachu in its natural habitat? With the classic N64 game Pokémon Snap, you will capture lots of Pokémon found in the wild – not with a Poke Ball, but with a camera. We liked this in our Wii Virtual Console review back in 2007, but we'll be sure to take a fresh look now that it's made it over to the Wii U eShop.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky (Nintendo, €9.99 / £8.99) - Become a Pokémon and experience the world in a whole different way in this classic DS game. Can you believe we never got around to reviewing this back in 2009? That will be rectified soon Pokémon fans.
3DS eShop
Blasting Agent: Ultimate Edition (Ratalaika Games, €4.99 / £4.49) - not content only to be on the Wii U eShop, this game also blasts it's way onto the 3DS eShop this week.
Word Logic by POWGI (Lightwood Games, €8.99 / £7.99) - free if you buy the Wii U eShop version, or vice versa.
Brick Race (RCMADIAX, €1.49 / £1.39) - Time to RACE! In BRICK RACE quickly turn left or right to dodge traffic and collect a HIGH SCORE! Easy pick-up and play action that everyone can enjoy. Endless fun on the go! Grab a high-score, then share it on Miiverse with the community to see how it stacks up. Developer RCMADIAX can be a bit hit and miss with the quality of their relentless barrage of eShop games, we'll review this one for you lovely people soon.
Jump Trials Supreme (Joindots, €4.99 / £4.19) - Can you reach the goal within 10 seconds? Every split-second counts as you race across obstacle courses, leaping from platform to platform, in a desperate race to reach the goal in 10 seconds. Dart across moving platforms, seesaw lifts, spring pads and conveyor belts to cross the stage as quickly as possible, but be wary of spikes and electric shocks! We quite liked this when we took a look in our Jump Trials Supreme review back in 2013 when it arrived in the US.

Jump Trials Supreme (Joindots)
3DS eShop Movie
Inazuma Eleven The Movie (Arait Multimedia, €3.99/ £3.59) - 80 years after Raimon Jr. High won the Football Frontier, football has gained a strong popularity and Mark's relentless spirit and his style of cherishing his teammates, which contributed to their victory, has influenced many people to love football. However, there are some people who aren't happy with this situation. The revolutionaries, led by Seymour Hillman, believe football weakens the minds of children in the future. They think that the cause of this is the captain of Raimon Jr. High, Mark Evans, so they formed the strongest team, consisting of specially trained soldiers, and called it Team Ogre. They send the team to the Football Frontier 80 years in the past to stop Raimon Jr. High becoming champions and to change history.
3DS Themes

Another poor week. Strange formatting and no voting.
Pokemon snap!
Really hoped that the Nicalis sale that's going on in the US would have made its way to EU, as well.
Another Level-5 movie to watch on the handheld. Still seems like a poor fit.
Just Pokemon Snap upgrade for me.
Good to see another n64 game go up!!
Keep em coming!!!
Nothing I want to download, at least not asap, but a very nice week overall.
Hmm, tempted by explorers of sky. Actually got back round to Darkness earlier this year to finish up the post game. Absolutely loved playing it again.
Snap and New & Tasty
Picked up Poncho on PS store for £1.45
So not much of a bargain on Wii U
Great week!! New indie games, including the very attractive Poncho, new VC titles and some discounts I haven't seen before (Oddworld is sooo tempting...).
For now, I'm going to get just The Fall...the Oddworld sale lasts for two full weeks, so there's time...let's see what's in the pipeline next Monday.
I wanted to get a Dreamcast game this month but they have become literally unapproachable with these stupid current prices, so I might get an eShop game instead.
wonder where go 3 is hopefully we get it over here sometime
Nothing for me but at least it's something.
Nothing for me this week.
BTW, what happened to the poll?
@Tuulenpoika Never going to happen since Nicalis doesn't think Europe even exists.
We have never even received Ikachan or Grinsia.
Since EU has two VC games, NA better get 2 as well this week.
Pokemon Snap!!!
looking forward to racing some bricks.
I wasn't a huge fan of the first Inazuma movie. It recycled to much from the tv series!
The Fall is excellent, just finished it last night. Highly recommended.
Yes, a big discount on The Fall! I'll definitely get that!
I'll get The Fall.
I imagine the poll might have been dropped because the majority result was nearly always 'Nothing for me this week', which probably doesn't give a very positive vibe to the feature.
@RainbowGazelle I'll be getting The Fall too.
Pokemon Snap is tempting, but I've got enough to play already so I'll give it a miss.
Oddworld and the fall for me, good prices
Wow, Europe... Great week for you!
I'm tempted by Pokémon Snap, overall it's a good week, but I must ask:
Where the heck are the Turbografx games? Konami released 3 games like a month ago and then what, they close shop? I want more of them!
Nothing for me this week. I'd rather have some more TG-16 games than more "retro-inspired" titles myself. Having said that I'm still eagerly awaiting Whoa Dave! And The Pinball Arcade would be nice.
Wow.
What a great week.
Sadly nothing for me.
OMG the MHGens theme I want is actually coming out!! Too bad I live in NA though. I hope hope hope it comes out here too this week.
I want more TG-16 games on Wii U VC.
Citadale - Gate of Souls is literally Castlevania in all but name. That is both amazing, and annoying, since Konami could quite easily sue their butts, and from what I saw in the trailer, big K' would probably have it in the bag...
Typoman is tempting. But again, I also said I would take advantage of the AVGN game discount, and ultimately never did, so...
@Freelance
And this, ladies and gents, is why regional locking just does not work.
I'm currently having the worst week of my life. This crappy update isn't helping.
@Henmii True, but if it's in stereoscopic 3D (It was shown in 3D in Japanese cinemas) it's probably worth picking up for the sheer value for money... though I doubt I'll ever want to sit down and watch a movie on my 3DS for 90 minutes.
At this rate F Zero X has got to show up soon...
I HIGHLY recommend Explorers of Sky. Great game with an amazing storyline. Like all of the Mystery Dungeon games, it can be a bit grindy and frustrating at times, but it's very enjoyable overall.
...wow, Power Disc Slam on sale already?..
..and looking forward to this in the States..
Blasting Agent: Ultimate Edition
..they tweeted the price is wrong, it's 2.99€/$ https://twitter.com/RatalaikaGames/status/765584402076274690
Some of those games could be interesting.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnS7QDCMZYY
The Castlevania rip off might be neat.
Oddworld finally discounted for the first time. I'm in!
@SH007ME Yup, Power Disc Slam on sale already
It's to match the launch sale in North America and hopefully grab some people put off by the price.
@chequeredcow
..very nice..that'll put some more Slammers on the court...
@SH007ME Yeah, hopefully it will spark more interest.
Pokemon Snap and Citidale for me this week. Citidale looks like a Castlevania/Ghouls n Ghost crossover game. I may pick up Blasting Agent on the 3DS and Power Disc Slam.
@tudsworth,
Good point. I only saw it in 2D.
Please go back to the old farmating. Having Discounts of WiiU and 3DS in one list is not a good idea.
Half tempted by Street Pass Squad but that's money I could be spending/saving for something else.
And I just bought The Fall at full price last week :/ Ah, well...
I downloaded Oddworld, Inside my radio and The fall.
