Pokemon Z confirmed?

I sold my X months ago in anticipation of Z

You know....the DS had last Pokemon games before the 3DS....so I wouldn't be surprised if this one was a mix between the two.

Maybe an E3 announcement is coming? I'd find it hard to believe that Z isn't coming soon; they've been indirectly refefencing it like this for awhile.

Isn't Ash like, 30 now? Isnt he the equivalent of that creepy guy that never graduates college because he is either afraid of the real world, or two stupid to pass, but too embarassed to go home?

Well, at least we know when the new season starts. I was disappointed this morning to find that Teen Titans Go was airing in the normal Pokémon time slot. Darn you, Cartoon Network and your crazy, switching schedules.

I would much rather have and x/y and oras sequel I'm hoping the fact we had a battle tower in construction means that game freak was hinting for the next game to have one in the next game I mean platinum and heartgoldsoulsilver had one! Also the XY story left a lot to be desired with the post game having a better story than the main game and oras having looker with some issues made me really think we would get some oras dlc hopefully they pick up that plot point next game, what I'd want is Z to be a sequel maybe even heartgoldsoulsilver with 2 regions (malls and hoenn) now that would be a 20th anniversary main game to remember!

So...when are we getting that Pokemon Z announcem? I mean, I think it's a given at this point, so...

While I'll admit a lot of evidence points to a Pokemon Z coming around, let me all remind ya'll, enjoy your Pokemon Gray. Pokemon Z seems to be way predictable for Nintendo or Game Freak at this point, and would be fairly late compared to other 'third wings' in other Pokemon generations, and we always get them before the remakes.
But it seems the anime title begs to differ. >.>

I've heard XY&Z is pretty good, so I'm hyped for it. Still waiting for that pokemon game announcement. Even though everything is pointing to Pokemon Z, I believe it's going to be something we weren't expecting.

Calling it XYZ makes me think it's even more likely we'll have XZ and YZ. I don't see them wanting to give up on the 2 game format now.

Either that or Ash will be running around the entire series with his fly undone.

Several people have told me they usually announce new games in May. I recall either B2W2 or XY being in Feb. So I'm not surprised they haven't announced it yet. They've also been kind of busy with Pokken and Go and the 20 year anniversary stuff. But it will come before E3 and be out on 3DS by the holidays. Gen 7 could be NX or 3DS, but not this year.

Edit: Just realized that's the same weekend Nintendo NY reopens, wonder if they'll make an effort to promote the series in store? Would also make a really good time to promote the new game(s).

I watch the japanese dubs, which is a bunch of episodes advenced. The XYZ series is good. It has a great start,but it doesn't take long until the "filler" episodes where nothing important happens appear. The thing with the pokémon anime is that they can drag it on for as much time as they want, with little plot development between episodes. XY games were announced in January, btw.

Maybe Pokémon Z will include both Kalos and Hoenn. Of course, they'll need to create a new story around these regions so that they do not render X/Y/OR/AS completely obsolete.

The anime has been excellent recently so can't wait for this. Need to catch up on a few episodes in advance.

You're right. Crap, everything I just said got turned backwards.
But three years between XY and Z does seem a bit too long for us to simply just get an updated version of the game. I think Pokemon Z as a title will still happen, but I doubt (or just hope) it's not just an updated X and Y with Zygarde as the legendary.

@Aerona Exactly how do you reboot something like Pokemon? That is, without getting rid of all the current Pokemon and starting again from scratch.

That's what Black and White were supposed to be. It's why you had to use the new 150 pokemon before you could look for old ones.

@Tulio517 That is why I stopped watching it years and years ago. I got extremely bored by the filler episodes during the Johto era, I mean, Jesus Christ, there were like 35-40 episodes between gyms that it just wasn't funny anymore, then I expected a huge finale to compensate for all the crappy episodes I had to endure, but nope, ash loses once more, and that means it's back to square 1 the next season.

At least this series teaches something valuable to kids: It doesn't matter how hard you try or how long you keep trying, some people just aren't gifted to begin with.

This series has been really good and the animation in the XY&Z series has been some of the best yet for Pokemon.

I think a new main character at least is needed for the series. Pokemon Origins was a step in the right direction.

@Aerona Ah, in that case, I fully agree that the anime needs a reboot big time.

I'm ready for gen 7, I don't want Z.

I don't know how to think about it. Sure I want a new Pokémon anime that doesn't focus on Ash or any of his companions. You know, to breathe some much needed fresh air into it. But on the other hand, I don't want Ash to go. Can't we have both? Or at the very least, give Ash his Pokémon League win finally to give his quest a well-deserved conclusion.

About Pokémon Z, I'd rather have either a Red/Blue/Yellow remake (but considering the VC release, this idea seems out of the window atm) or a XY sequel like BW did (e.g. show what happened to Team Flare, is Lysandre really dead and so on). Or what I would love above all else is a XY prequel, taking place during that Kalos War. Like show us Kalos during the Middle Ages, maybe how Pokémon were captured before PokéBalls were created and so on and so forth. I've always wanted a Pokémon main series that doesn't take place in modern times but rather in the past.

@Seacliff Remember Gen 5? Maybe we'll get XZ or YZ or (if you like maths like me ) X squared and Y squared like BW2.

@LordMolecule I'd also like Gen 7, mainly because I already have X and OR so Z is kinda pointless for me.

I hope they do the generation 5 thing and make it a sequel to the first X and Y. That would be the best ending to one of my favourite Pokémon generations.

@Seacliff Yes I agree, it's time for a new hero. I'm tired of seeing Ash and Pikachu, I really HATE Pikachu, time for them to be puthe out to pasture.

They can easily reboot the cartoon if they want. Look at pokemon origins, alot of people liked it.

They should reboot the anime with the same concept as origins but then with more relation to the games (i liked it more if Red has a bulbasaur and Green having a charizard and if they add leaf/blue then she can have a squirtle) and with more episodes but less filler content. Like the battle against Team Rocket at the game corner being a saga with episodes that interconnect revealing stuff instead of just a one episode event. That would be cool
