Re: Soapbox: Has Nintendo Set A Precedent That 'Switch 2' Can't Hope To Match?

TrueFace

I personally doubt it would surpass Switch sales. I'm thinking about it from the perspective of the Wii and Wii U. From my experience, plenty of people thought that the Wii U was just a beefier Wii. They didn't 'get' the gamepad or Miiverse. They just saw an HD version of the fun motion control system. So many of these people never bought a Wii U. All that to say, if the 'Switch 2' ends up being a 4K version of Switch with some zany new features, the average joe will just see a stronger Switch. It's cool, but it's not worth the upgrade to them.

However, I'd be down for whatever Ninty comes up with, so long as it's fun. Because when it comes right down to it, sales and projections mean diddly squat to me. I just need it to be fun.

Re: Pokémon Sleep Has Reportedly Made $100 Million In Its First Year

So when the article mentions the 'Raiku Research' event, is that meant to be Raikou, the legendary Pokemon or something specific to this game? Not trying to nitpick, just curious.

@K1LLEGAL Brilliant. Maybe Valve will follow suit and make a Half-Awake game. More likely than Half-Life 3 anyways. 😛

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Speedrun World Record Holder Improves His Time

That was a lot of fun to watch! Very nice.

I'll be honest, I don't usually enjoy watching videos about other people playing video games, but I've found these speedrun vids to be quite entertaining. I remember watching an AGDQ for Metroid Fusion. I was fascinated by the precision techniques the runner used, especially since he explained what he did. I hope you'll continue sharing these videos, @ThomasBW84.

On a side note, does anyone know of a site that does a good job explaining how/why the exploits in this video work?

Re: Review: Mappy-Land (Wii U eShop / NES)

TrueFace

I used to love playing the arcade Mappy on one of those Plug-n-Play systems. Hitting Meowky with doors. Listening to that repetitive-yet-catchy chiptune background song. Being shocked when Goro suddenly comes out of nowhere and kills me. Good times.
I never knew the game got a sequel. I might just look into this.

Re: Mega Camerupt, Mega Gallade, and Mega Sharpedo Revealed for Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

TrueFace

Yes! I predicted that there would be a Mega Sharpedo and Mega Camerupt what with them being Archie and Maxie's mains. They both look awesome. I find Sharpedo especially good, as it incorporates elements of a saw nose shark and a submarine. Mega Gallade also looks swell. It'll be very fitting for Wally.

So, Sea of Beginnings and Land of Endings? Oh, this is gonna be good!

Re: EarthBound Celebrates 20 Very Strange Years of Existence

Mr. Itoi's answers would be wrong if he were in Moonside.

Anyways, I know I certainly enjoyed EarthBound. There's just nothing quite like it. I hope that everyone will continue to enjoy this game for years to come. It will always bring back the fondest of memories.

@TimLatshaw - I'd like to give you props for being one of the few writers/people to properly capitalize the 'B' in EarthBound. Enjoy a cup of Trout Yogurt on me!

Re: Mega Slowbro and Mega Audino Leaked for Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

Mega Slowbro looks hilarious! Poor guy was too slow to realize that he was being eaten.

I also think these reactions are funny. When a powerful Pokemon gets a Mega, people are like, "Megas are lame! They're making strong Pokemon too strong!" And then when a Mega is given to a weaker Pokemon they're like, "Megas are lame! Why did these weaklings get one?"
