I'll still end up getting Legends I'm sure, just probably not on launch like I originally planned. I'll probably have other games by that point.

This game certainly deserves the praise it has received. It is a spectacular racer and possibly my favorite Wii U title right now.

I sure am glad that didn't happen. I like being able to play Sonic on my Nintendo systems.

I still enjoy playing SA and SA2 on the Gamecube. I would love to see another adventure title that benefits from the abilities of modern systems.

Also, lighten up fellas. SEGA learned from '06. No need to look at every new Sonic game in such a bad light.

I wasn't too fond of this Ambassador Title. Like the review said, the jumping is a total pain.

This is what I like about Nintendo. They can provide genuinely fun gaming experiences without resorting to excessive violence and the like. Some may enjoy these types of games, but I just don't honestly.

I was afraid of this. The Wii U was the first home console to launch in this new economic landscape. Its sales and reception may also give us an idea of how the other next gen consoles will preform. Hopefully the industry will work its way out of this funk.

@cornishlee - He was originally called Eggman in Japan. However, when the series was brought to the US, his named was changed to Robotnik. Not only that, but the West put its own spin on the Sonic series. However, when Sonic Adventure was released, all world regions decided to follow the Japanese storyline, thus he was called Eggman again. Thus, his name is Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik.

Bowser deserves the top spot. But seriously, the Minecraft Creeper beating Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik?

@9-Volt Look, we all know '06 happened. It was bad. Everyone knows. But do we have to keep bringing it up? It's been 7 years now and many better games have come out since. There's no need to act like each new Sonic game is going to be another '06.
(Also, in the context you are using, the word would be "shudder", not "shutter).

I missed some of these games on the VC before. Now looks like the perfect chance to pick them up.

@Lopezdm - Do you have good memories of Sonic? 'Cuz he's called "The Blue Blur". The Blue Bomber is Mega Man.
@BenAV - Ya know, making fun of Sonic games is no longer cool or funny. It hasn't been since Colors or Generations.
Anyways... I love me some Sonic. I'll get this probably on launch. Possibly both versions, like I did with Colors.

Do want Super Metroid! Maybe Mother 2 being released for purchase on the Japanese Virtual Console is a good sign for a future worldwide release.

From what I've seen of the previous games and this one, the camera could be a real selling point for Pikmin 3. I know I'm going to enjoy taking pictures of my Min and the other creatures.

@JogurtTheYogurt - You are paying for the upgraded features. It's perfectly understandable. If you don't like it, then don't buy it.

@DerpSandwich - It's only as disappointing as you let it be. Not every Nintendo Direct will reveal major titles and projects.

I already knew that Fire Emblem would be excellent, but the demo simply cemented that. I can't wait for Feb. 4th.

Well shoot. I was hoping for the new Shantae (or the original one) to be released soon.

Looks like the Wii U is doing just fine. My guess for the reason that sales aren't higher is the bad economy. It works two-fold. One, people have less extra money to spend. Two, due to less money, people are choosing older, cheaper consoles with established libraries. Having the latest thing just isn't as important anymore. I'm sure this will change, given time and additional games.

Eh, I think I'll pass. I'm sure it's great and all, but Xenoblade was good enough for me.

Perhaps this will help raise awareness of the Wii U.

If this happens, I may break down and invest.

You want to know what's ironic? I recently saw an advert saying that "Skylanders is a proud sponsor of Disney Channel". It seems that Skylanders is funding its own doom.

I wonder how the folks who are complaining that the Wii U is too expensive will react when the next Sony and Microsoft consoles are launched. I can't imagine that either of those will be cheaper than Wii U. I bet part of the reason why the Wii U isn't off to better start is the fact that it's launching in a significantly different economical playing field than the Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3. I believe that Wii U will find its stride, but it may just take a bit longer than previous generations.

Maybe after this model is out of the way, Nintendo will release a new, better colored limited edition XL. Maybe then I'll get an XL.

I really liked it. I thought the story behind it was well done. It's too bad that a considerable portion of the Sonic fanbase is so... unappeasable. They're why the rest of the fanbase can't have nice things.
Anyways, this make me want to see a full-fledged Sonic movie.

This game sounds better and better every time I hear about it. I can't wait to give that demo a try.
