I did not pay full price for any switch 1 game.
Much thanks to staying a few years behind and waiting for mar10 day, black Friday etc.
Also to some extent thanks to game vouchers when "needing" a new game.

I will probably pay full price for Splatoon 4 since I spent 1000+ h in Splatoon 3
Maybe for a new 3d Zelda?

But I have quite a few backlog games that will be enhanced on switch 2, so I'm good for a while.

Needed a second switch for the kids, so they get my current and I get the new one...

My question is why they are using a picture of a switch 2 with almost no bezels?
I too would have liked it to look like that, but why are they using "fan art"?

At least they are known to put games on sale. So I might try something out when I can't afford the game I really want to play.

There is also no specific price for a system. Hence it is more than twice as expensive in the Nordic countries than in Japan.

Finally got around to playing Portal this weekend.
Amazingly no one had managed to spoil it for me, fantastic game!

I bought Splatoon 3 on a e-shop sale for $40. I would not have given it a try for any more than that.
Now I have spent 1000+ hours in that game.
Would I spend $80 on the next Splatoon if I had to? Probably. But also probably the only game that I could justify myself paying such a price.

I also bought mario kart 8 deluxe on a sale for $40 + the DLC. I still have not played all the tracks.
Will I buy World for $80? No.

Someone else probably have the opposite experience.
Pricing games must be a nightmare.

$80 is a price for for die hard fans of a certain game, I can't see massive mainstream sales... will be interesting to see.

I think we are still going to see Nintendo having e'shop sales on World in a year or two...

At least this will be on sale in a year or two. Might check it out if I have a switch 2 by then. Have only played Black flag.

Why can't Nintendo just explain how the switch 2 is working??

Will BOTW switch 2 edition have faster load times off the switch 2 cartridge then when playing from the old switch 1 cartridge on a switch 2?

I guess the problem is that people expected them to release a deluxe version, and are disappointed that they did not.

I was planning to buy this since I played BOTW on wii U.
Now I better buy a second hand Switch 1 BOTW instead.
Way to go Nintendo!

For all I care they could have replaced the screen, joycons and battery with a potato. I play 100% docked with a pro controller.

It's basically free money for them.
But I guess they'll wait a while so people start paying for the GameCube library first.
I have played this game to death so I'm out, but good news for the kids I guess.

Looks fun enough, but I'm a bit burnt out on MK 8.
This is not a system seller for me, and not a game I would spend enough time in to justify the price.
I might check out the MK direct to see if they can win me over...

Where I live I can choose to buy a Switch 2 base model or a ps5 slim Standart with AstroBot including a controller.

No, I don't even se any reason to buy switch 2 att launch.
If you launch with Zelda you have a perfekt launch.

And that is why there is no problem pre-ordering in Sweden, not many seems interested in buying at those pieces.

Only comfort for me is that I'm not excited about the launch titles so I can wait.
