Oh how I wish your words would ring true. I wish so much.
Alas
That is way too Tiggery for my taste.
I'll stick to searching my tail for time being.
If at some point in the foreseeable future there are news on ANY of the following: Metroid, Pikmin, Wonderful 101 sequel, Animal Crossing or Pokemon for Switch I will start slow and cumbersome walk back to the station for the train marked with Hype.
Until then... ARMS looked nice but someone said that there is no traditional control scheme so that kills that too.
Snipperclips made me smile, but I managed to suppress it.
Then you clearly didn't mind the framerate of 12 per second, glitches, crashes and lack of features combined with HORRIBLE lag in the actual controlling of players.
If I had to choose worst port ever it would be FIFA for WiiU. No doubt about it.
@Vee_Flames I think they just give the third parties that have games coming up (if there are such) permission to start hyping themselves after the presentation.
That's my guess, that they have had agreements on not going public with their games at this point too much.
Of course there is always the possibility that third parties don't actually make any games for it...
Image & Form said some things about the Dev Kit themselves in one of the videos that was published here in Nintendo Life. How not everyone in the team has actually seen it etc.
Thanos: You stated that being negative is somehow a state of being cynical a-hole of all things, of life, of every speck of dust with every joy of life being reduced to ashes. I merely contradicted that with as much.
I am wildly optimistic about Switch. In fact it got me back on Hype train after the last two years of Wii U drought kinda made me not want to purchase the ticket anymore.
But I have seen the Project Cars and it's likes that never came to Wii U and I have seen Mighty No 9 and it's like with the indie teams behind them ending up horrible horrible abominations of a game.
This has the markings of the latter. It has not all, but a lot of the signs of such.
I have yet see that Pinky Elefante developer to show flashy and shady UE-trailers all around the internet and going full rave mode for it.
I believe a lot of Indie developers still don't have dev kits. See how quiet they are? That's not a sign to anyone?
Steamworld developers are Indies and they have Dev Kit. A lot of others seem to have Dev Kits too. If they have visited Ninty and indeed have all the pieces together why NOT have a dev kit with upcoming exclusive game?
To Thanos: No being negative is not the easiest thing in the world. Not having an opinion is the easiest thing. Having a negative view on everything is just friggin stupid. Having negative view on something that has mounting evidence against it little by little by little by lot is neither stupid nor is it the easiest thing in the world.
Waiting and seeing is what led to western front being woefully weak in the early days of World War II.
That's how sensible that is.
I would love for that game to come and be awesome. Right now that seems as plausible as having Project Cars suddenly coming for it.
First of all: Well F*** me. I didn't find Any Arts production on my twitter search but there it is loud and clear. My mistake.
Why they don't use the studio twitter and facebook on the french game site as a contact is still beyond me.
I have not found the tweet that you mentioned of them being at Nintendo or having lunch at there. I have only seen the pictures that you showed me. I didn't find it from their twitter accounts either by browsing their media.
I know that it is easier to take a stance of wait and see. Unfortunately that only means that you are willing to give column inches and internet traffic to people that want to make money based on lies and cheats.
Why they don't address these issues themselves?
And not having a dev kit and not being tied to NDA at the moment is definitely not a good sign.
ANYONE can take a picture with that sign. It is literally there to be taken pictures with. Look at Tripadvisor, Visiting Seattle or some other tourist site for it.
edit: They don't show Ninty guest passes, Ninty guides. They don't even mention anywhere visiting the place or having conversations. That is because they are full of it.
They don't have twitter account for heavens sake. The authors own personal twitter and facebook accounts work as their primary and official channels. Not the makings of a very professional team.
No other dev that we actually know publishing games for the switch have made such reveals and this is the one that should be the big red flag. Even the guys behind Steamworld games are being all hushy hushy. Then these guys come and go "Oh we have this amazing UE4 game that we can show you guys all by ourselves".
Their art and world is quite clearly stock art and based on the video comparisons might be even ripped off from other demos.
What comes to Dantesolablood tweeting to them? How the hell them answering to questions themselves adds to any credibility?
@HappyMaskedGuy I hope that through your sarcasm you can realize that those games are really good games and a lot A LOT of people play and more importantly BUY them.
I would love to get Either of them. Unfortunately as the EA exec said a Major Game (not plural) is coming. Not Games. Game.
I have an actual human being source working in NoE who was adamant about info coming out today. Now he doesn't answer my messages and I am just befuddled and sorrowful for this treachery ;_;
I made a promise to myself not to search #NintendoNX in twitter for rest of october.
Nice article with the main message being one that I too agree with 100%
Wii U is a failure on any given video gaming standards.
However it has a library of games that are simply astonishing. It has masterpieces like MK8, Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2, SSB4, Xenoblade Chronicles X (Which is my favourite modern JRPG's hands down) etc.
But it also has some amazing underrated titles like W101, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker and great Indie titles like Runbow.
All in all it's a machine that has brought me just the right amount of gaming joy and possibilities with my limited time for this hobby due to things mentioned in the article ie. being a grown up with job, kids, upcoming elections and all sorts of other real life awesomeness.
It's a machine that will proudly take it's place along with my other consoles in the shelf of "Take out when feeling nostalgic". There it will rest with NES, SNES, GC, PS1, PS2, XBox and in the future hopefully N64 and some others as well.
Direct; Digital event, don't know the actual phrasing they will be using. It seems atm that it will branded with the latter because Directs already have established themselves into certain pattern.

Re: Gallery: New Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Screenshots Look Pretty Fresh
@AlexSora89 I fully understood the joke.
But as it didn't contain Animal Crossing in any way or fashion you are just as bad as Nintendo who disregard it like you did.
Sobs again
Re: Gallery: New Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Screenshots Look Pretty Fresh
@AlexSora89 I never joke about Animal Crossing.
After Amiibo Abomination Festival I have mainly cried about Animal Crossing.
Sobs

Re: Nintendo Switch Has 32GB Internal Memory, Expandable With Micro SD Cards
@AVahne
You are absolutely right. I was looking wrong things. Cheapest I found was $139 because I first had some non micro cards.
My mistake.
Re: The Massively Popular FIFA Franchise Is Coming To Nintendo Switch In 2017
This is going to go BAD
FIFA for WiiU was an abomination. It was simply unplayable.
And now EA coming out with ONE game... sigh
If it's good I'll get it, but I really really hoped for Madden ;_;
Re: Gallery: New Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Screenshots Look Pretty Fresh
@AlexSora89 What about the AC characters?
Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Nintendo Switch Presentation?
Had it pre-ordered.
Canceled. I'll wait for the games.
Re: Nintendo Switch Has 32GB Internal Memory, Expandable With Micro SD Cards
@Spoony_Tech That is definitely not a bad principle to go with when considering SD cards
Re: Square Enix Announces Project Octopath Traveler For Nintendo Switch
Other companies get FF and KH.
Nintendo gets 16bit OCTOPATH!
Nintendo fans never get the nice things ;_;
Re: Nintendo Switch Has 32GB Internal Memory, Expandable With Micro SD Cards
@Spoony_Tech But they are well below $100 in many places. Even Amazon sells them below $100

Re: RiME Developer Confirms May Release for Nintendo Switch Download
Probably no retail because they didn't know whether they could port it fast enough.
They could, which is only positive thing. Might mean that it is quite easy to port for Switch.
Re: On Nintendo Switch Power, WSJ Tech Writer Pitches in With Alternative Details
@memoryman3 Calling Mochizuki armchair analyst is a little like calling Shereen Bhan desktop writer or Julie Mehretu a decent doodler.

Re: Video: Take an Extended Look at Switch Exclusive Seasons of Heaven
@ThanosReXXX You have actually not said or presented anything that is any kind of a proof that the game is a) coming to Switch b) coming at all.
You have presented a lot of promoting material which I am sure people at Any Arts are quite happy to have been spread.
What comes to DanteSolablood; "I know they are in contact" is quite easy to write.
See. I just did it.
Did you know there is Mario Extreme Sports Mix coming up and it's made by Retro. I know this.
Really easy.
Re: Video: Take an Extended Look at Switch Exclusive Seasons of Heaven
@ThanosReXXX Im willing to read any facts presented. At the moment it's overwhelmingly decisive on the hoax side.
Re: Video: Take an Extended Look at Switch Exclusive Seasons of Heaven
Well it's a shame that this is clearly a sham now that the evidence has been placed on the table.
To me the most convincing part was the Unreal Kite world demo video. Seasons of Shaven are cleary stolen from that.
Re: Nintendo and DeNA Shares Tumble as Investors Show Super Mario Run Revenue Fears
I'll contribute as soon as it comes to Android
Re: Video: Super Mario Run Commercial Is Packed With Sprinting But Light On Gameplay Footage
This goes right on the lines of the Switch release video and it's about damn time. It's nice to see Nintendo come to 21st century.

Re: Feature: 10 Essential 3DS RPGs
Uh oh... I just realized. There is a chance we might get something like these on the Switch.
Ohh... I want Square JRPG's to play again... I need ;_;
Re: Lego City Undercover Is Coming To Nintendo Switch And Other Platforms Next Year
Have not played it yet, will get it for Switch.
Re: Nintendo Switch Has "Probably The Best Demo I've Ever Seen" Says Bethesda's Todd Howard
Right now all I would love to have for Switch is Ubisofts Steep.
Bethesda... well of course
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Will Have Super Mario And Skyrim At Launch, Splatoon Coming As Pack-In
If all of these port-remaster-rumors are true then I'll be both happy and utterly miserable.
I would love to get them all, but I can't buy them second time so fast.
Also rumors are now saying that the Pokemon game for switch is real thing, now THAT would be superbegazlicious.
Re: Defenders of the Triforce 'Experience' Coming to US Cities
HOLY FRIGGIN HELL!
I LOVE ESCAPE GAMES!
Now I gotta fly to U.S. just for this...
Re: Nintendo Switch to Reportedly Include 4GB of RAM
So bye bye third party support.
Oh well.
The hype was great while it lasted.
I really wanted that portable Fallout ;_;
Re: Level-5 Planning To Support Nintendo Switch But Won't Have Any Games At Launch
BOOOOOOM!
First one to bail the ship is.
LEVEL5
I'll say EA is the next.
Re: Koei Tecmo Confirms Nobunaga’s Ambition Is Coming To Nintendo Switch
Pokemon Warriors would be awesome
Although I can easily live with Hyrule Warriors 2 or Star Fox Warriors.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Will Support Micro SDXC Cards Up To 128GB In Capacity
@Jamotello It's nice to have multiple tb cards with RAID 0 and one 32gb one in the mix
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Will Support Micro SDXC Cards Up To 128GB In Capacity
It should come with 1tb SDXC card bundled with the machine.
I mean the 512gb SD costs only 250€ here so it shouldn't be a problem
Seriously though, if it supports SDXC format then it can be patched for 1tb cards as soon as they hit the market instead of being just prototypes.
I too think that it just means that the devs have worked with 128gb cards.
Re: Fans "Shouldn't Assume" That The Nintendo Switch Reveal Trailer Features "Actual Game Footage"
@Xaessya
I'll take Breath of the Wild over that fiddleridoo any day of the week.
Re: Monster Boy is Coming to Nintendo Switch, With Oceanhorn Also a Good Bet
Generally speaking if Switch gets EA Sports games on the console as decent ports and not dillydally version like FIFA13 on Wii U it'll be great.
That will make people buy it. Sports games sell. They sell massively.
I would love to get Madden and FIFA on my Switch. I wouldn't mind Fallout or Wasteland 3 either
Re: Talking Point: What We Hope to See in the Nintendo NX Preview Trailer
Two hours and 19 minutes of excitement left.
Two hours and approximately 23 minutes before the angry interwebs take over and we all need to close our screens for few moments.
Re: Preview Trailer of the Nintendo NX Confirmed for 20th October
20th of October
CALLED IT
No wait... I was 99,9% sure that it was coming October 3rd
Whoops
DOESN'T MATTER!
Oh right, I promised not to hype.
DOESN'T MATTER!
Now I gotta finish this post.
CAN'T! TOO EXCITED!
Seriously though.
Hopefully it'll be good. I have low expectations.
Re: Feature: NES Mini Classics - Castlevania
Faxanadu was the highlight of this genre. Castlevania II is amazing game, but Faxanadu was something truly unbelieavable awesomeness.
I wish they would sell extra game packages for the Classic-NES, although that is not going to happen I would gladly pay 50€ a year for new package.
Re: Feature: NES Mini Classics - Bubble Bobble
@gcunit Sorry. Was too excited to notice that.
Re: Feature: NES Mini Classics - Bubble Bobble
Oh the amount of screen time in my childhood spent with this game.
Also one of the games that we truly have had OH GOODNESS!!!!! moment with my brother when we found the super secret passage.
Now I only wish that Ninty would have made orchestrated versions of all the musics
edit: Gotta love those OH GOODNESS!!!! -moments. There are plenty of them but less and less nowadays.

Re: Random: Nintendo Censors Canadian Interview For Daring To Mention NX
@DragonEleven What monthly schedule? We have had more two month gaps in directs than directs in the past two years.
Iwata was pretty much the driving force behind directs and he clearly loved them. After he got health issues directs just have not been the same.
And they probably will never be. Damn that man was awesome.
Re: Talking Point: The Pros and Cons of Nintendo's NX Secrecy
Well it's only 172 hours away so there's no need to panic. I hope it'll be good and some of the rumors to be true and others not.
Still, nice to be on the know at least on something.
Re: Rumour: NX Entering Trial Production At Foxconn, Annual Output Pegged At 10 Million

Re: Rumour: NX Entering Trial Production At Foxconn, Annual Output Pegged At 10 Million
Psst... the digital event is ten days and approximately ten hours away. That's not too long for peeps to just CHILL OUT.
