There may not be a lot of people who are heartbroken about this, but I would buy stardock games on my Switch instead of my PC if they were available.
If you somehow just try to be something between knees and back and try to act all clever then you really should go and check Stardock catalogue, which is full of great games and they own rights to many great IP's that they are rebooting.
Splatoon was one of the best surprises of the last few years altogether.
Splatoon 2 is a must buy just for portability alone. Gonna use up A LOT of my service providers bandwith as I share my cellphone WiFi to anyone wanting to play it portable.
Switch isn't bought for exclusives only. It is bought as a hybrid.
There are tens of millions of gamers who would love to play Smash, Mario Maker, Mario Kart etc. and buying Switch for these is a viable option for previous WiiU owners but more importantly as an auxiliary console to their preferred powerhouse.
Switch absolutely needs the best ports from Wii U, just because there are fantastic games that not enough people got to buy.
I selected over ten games in the poll before I realized you could only select three.
It took 16 comments before someone used the SJW acronym.
That has to be some sort of an internet record in the 2010's.
Anyone using SJW as a slur is of course on the same level as any and all Scooby-Do villains in their political and social expertise.
"Boohoo, all dem SJW's and snowflakes want to shut us up".
No.
They just use their right of free speech to tell you that you are morons.
Because ultimately that is what you are if you are incapable of making a difference between action and consequence, freedom of speech and responsibilities of that freedom.
@ThomasBW84 How does it feel reviewing something like this? Knowing that it is a masterpiece? Does it add to the game as you play it or does it make you wary of not trying to look like fanboy?
I will wait on some opinions from other people before purchasing the season pass for myself.
If the additional content is worth it then sure. I have not been disappointed by Ninty DLC thus far, but this is the first one with at least somewhat actual price instead of pennies that MK8 DLC cost.
Splatoon, from the first quirky announcement video that produced a small "meh" to the frantic and hilarious nightly sessions was truly the gem in the WiiU for me.
I have never been a good fps player. In this. It doesn't matter as I don't have to have headshots or stay continually alive. I can specialize in something or just go rampant with my splattershot.
Loved it. It's one of the things I still pop into my WiiU now that I have only Paper Mario to play for and then my entire backlog of games has been completed.
And another post for peeps here because I believe in the herd intelligence and my google skills are lacking.
What was the name of the game rumored to come for switch in which there were rolling monsters in an arena trying to push each other off from it. It was from some quite well known studio but I can't find it anywhere.
@AlexSora89 Where does it say Kojima is Playstation only guy? They have a deal of exclusive Playstation game, but I have not heard of any longer exclusivity.
@Flexbro27 I have no doubt about that. I believe the very strong rumors about the Mario rabbids crossover and I believe that it will be good. Ninty has quite high standards (except for Olympic games recently ;_; )
Steep is good multiplatform game and if the Beyond Good and Evil sequel really comes for Switch then my mind will be blown
Ubi gets way too much hate for all the support they've actually shown to WiiU
They do throw Dragon quest bone for us Nintendogs and after that it's the Project Octopath Traveler, which even though it might be good is certainly not Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy in terms of production value.
But yes, I will accept your argument about Square also at least throwing some weight there
Only AAA company that is actually throwing any sort of weight behind its words is of course again the much slandered Ubisoft.
Any other colossi of the Video Gaming world are merely doing what they did with WiiU. They are dipping their toes in the water and then quickly getting away.
Of these 100+ games I will bet anyone for an amiibo or other such neat little thing that at least 50+ are games that are already out on other devices and at least 25+ small indie titles that are not exclusive.
And even that 25+ original games for Switch is A MASSIVE reach.
Nintendo isn't doomed. But they sure as hell ain't flying the rainbow road either.

Re: Surprise, Nintendo Isn't Hosting An E3 Press Conference This Year
Digital event is MUCH MUHC MCUH MHUC better idea than a stage presentation.
I can not stress how much better it is, so instead I will type the following haiku.
Digital event
Is the way to go today
Thank you Nintendo
Re: Nintendo Reveals A New ARMS Character, And It's An Odd One
I love how they actually show some cool gameplay concepts here as well, like the flailing between the two characters and the behind-a-pillar-attacks.

Gonna buy my first ever Minecraft (apart from the edu ones we used at one of my previous schools that I used to work in).
Gonna see what's all the fuss about

Splatoon was one of the best surprises of the last few years altogether.
Splatoon 2 is a must buy just for portability alone. Gonna use up A LOT of my service providers bandwith as I share my cellphone WiFi to anyone wanting to play it portable.
Re: Feature: What We Expect From the Nintendo Direct - 12th April
Splatoon 2 gets some specs, no release date.
ARMS gets full treatment, turns out to be quite limited and small title, will fail horribly. Little Mac is teased as a character.
3DS will probably be Dragon Quest that was already announced by Square. Maybe Ever Oasis. That's about it.
Maybe Amiibos, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe gets a peek for some odd reason, as if everyone wasn't already familiar with it.
And then as a surprise at the end, there will be. Nothing.
That should keep my expectations in check.
Re: Square Enix Veteran and Chrono Trigger Director Teases Nintendo Switch Project
@NintySnesMan
I do have all of them on various machines.
I just would love them on switch. Because Switch as it is, is great. Having them on it, would make it even more great.
And I would love to play through them all again, on Switch

Just release final fantasy collection with originals from IV to X-2
That's it.
I will personally buy enough copies to make it profitable.

I will get it but I will definitely not be an early adopter for a proof of concept like this.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire on Nintendo Switch?
Must buy even if it has to do something else to feel actual sequel.
Still. Testfire sessions were great and I enjoyed them a lot.
Must Buy.

Rabbids. Lot's of them.
And South Park. More of it.
And games like Steep.
And everything NOT named Assasin anything or Watch anything.

Re: GameStop Describes Nintendo Switch Launch as "One of the Strongest" in Recent Years
Snipperclips: 10

So what else should I play for the next months. Probably gonna get Arms but that's it.
I really hope they hit a homerun at E3

98 on Metacritic atm. That's just mind blowing.
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)
@Piersen SnipperClips should be second Magic Card
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)
Zelda is racking 10's left and right.
It's gonna be one of the highest rated games ever.
AND THERE'S LESS THAN 12 HOURS FOR ME TO GET MINE!!! BWHWAHAHAHAHAH!!!
Re: Feature: Snipperclips - Working With Nintendo To Create A Switch Co-Op Classic
@BigBadJohn Exactly this.
Although my wife is a great platformer too. But she will love this one.
Oh and my three year old will have to learn co-op with me too

Re: Video: FIFA 18 Gets Shown Off In Japanese Nintendo Switch Commercial
If FIFA is good it's a must buy for me.
I just wish they would have brought Madden as well.
You know there are Millions that play sports games. Which you often wouldn't believe if you only visit Ninty sites.

Just in time for Switch
Re: New Fire Emblem Heroes Retweet Event Offers 10,000 Hero Feathers for All
Got Marth and Robin as 5 star chars. Also got some random Knight dude with 5 star. Summons have been really fair.
I tried to star up one char and there is a big gap in stats so it's all worth it. Also because of the unlocked skills.
Excellent game and fair at the moment at least.
Now to tackle some of those lunatic challenges.
Re: New Fire Emblem Heroes Retweet Event Offers 10,000 Hero Feathers for All
@allav866 They add stories twice a month.
Re: Guide: Starting the Battle in Fire Emblem Heroes
@Setery10 Very Much so. I didn't even like Robin in his own game, but he is definitely good in this one
Re: Fire Emblem Heroes Starts Strongly in Japan as Nintendo's Share Value Soars
Great game with more depth than many retail games
In chapter five now after I got Marth and Robin five stars from summon and they pretty much carry any battle
Stopped my clash royale for few weeks just because of this.

Oooo... Got Marth and Robin 5☆ from Same summon streak
Those guys are ripping it now

Re: Kimishima on the Role of the 3DS After the Switch Launch
This means one thing and one thing only.
Droughts for Switch.
Why would the 3rd parties that can do simple games for 60+ million 3DS users go for Switch?
How can Nintendo create more games for the Switch if they still divide their time between 3DS and Switch.
This is the stupidest thing they can do atm.
Re: Rocket League Dev Psyonix Asks Players To Keep Fingers Crossed For Nintendo Switch Port

Seriously people. It's a company. They exist to make great games and entertain people, but most importantly to keep in business and make money.
Re: Video: Koei Tecmo Launches Trailers For Its Two Big Nintendo Switch Releases
@gcunit They are both 2014-2015 games, you can find gameplay videos from youtube if you just want to know what they are like.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Plw30yI376I Nobunagas Ambition here. Looks great strategy game.
Re: Video: Koei Tecmo Launches Trailers For Its Two Big Nintendo Switch Releases
@Megas I ain't bothered by region lock but by the MASSIVE amount of text that these games have. My japanese ain't that fluent
Re: Video: Koei Tecmo Launches Trailers For Its Two Big Nintendo Switch Releases
Romance of the three kingdoms is one of the best series of games all time.
Too bad no western release ;_;
edit: ALTHOUGH, RotTK XIII was localized already for PS4 and PC
So... maybe?
Re: First Impressions: A Switch Surprise - Cutting Snipperclips Down to Size
I love how even now everyone is just bonkers for this.
Even the nintendoomed pessimists and people thoroughly disappointed in the launch lineup (latter is me) are absolutely loving it.
Well done those two indie developers who sold their IP to Ninty. Hopefully they negotiated royalties
