Re: Sega's Valkyria Chronicles 4 Is Marching Towards Nintendo Switch

@GC-161

I have said absolutely nothing about Codename S.T.E.A.M. in the last year or so. So there's that.

What comes to making fun of something, maybe try to actually be either a) funny b) truthful, either one would work fine.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with something being inspired by Advance Wars or Fire Emblem, which both are one of the best franchises in Nintendo and Strategy/TacticalRPG history.

It just is that VC was inspired something else. It's that simple.

No.

Valkyria Chronicles is VERY different from Advance Wars and Fire Emblem.

Yes, both are Tactical RPG's, but that's about it. VC has totally different battle system and gameplay mechanics.

If anything, VC honors really old WW2 games and clearly takes inspiration from Combat Mission and such.

I had never actually noticed that button

This is going to improve my internet browsing vastly

@ollietaro
Criticism ≠ whining
Constructive ≠ bad
There is a lot to be said about Switch that is not positive. However you put it there is still a vast difference between being a bit of a donkey and being critical.

@Finntendo

VPD is otherwise ok, but you are absolutely right about their preorders and some hard to obtain stuff. They try to rip you off like scalpers sometimes.

I mostly order abroad because the prices here are so much higher than Amazon.uk for example. But GS sometimes has good preorder deals and I have one like 300m from my apartment.

Gigantti is weird, you can sometimes find really rare stuff just sitting in the shelves (I know people found some really rare Skylanders and Amiibo) and mostly they don't even know that Nintendo still exists

Re: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Is Getting a Season Pass

Timppis

Gonna get the game.

Probably gonna enjoy it a lot from the looks of it.

Then gonna buy the DLC

Forget about the game when other stuff comes.

Get notification next year about new expansion.

Be all WOO!!! FREE STUFF!!

Play again.

Be happy that you dug up the game because you hadn't in ages.

Im cool with that.

Re: Curve Digital Confirms Two Games for the Switch eShop

Timppis

Flame in the Flood is a good game. I bought it on Steam on some weekly offer and it was fun to dabble with, definitely worth the small price.

I won't be double dibbing on this one like I will on some others but to everyone who is thinking about it or is on the fence, it definitely is worth a try.

Re: Preview: Jumping Into the Crazy World of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Timppis

3rd Party games don't sell on Nintendo consoles.

Put Mario on a completely bonkers crossover 3rd party game.

Watch how money is printed.

edit: This is without a doubt my most waited game for this year. I want this more than I want Mario Odyssey or Steep or FIFA. This looks absolutely fantastic. Davide Soliani has sold his entire future catalogue of games to me with this.

Re: Capcom Reportedly Gearing Up for Multiple Nintendo Switch Titles

Timppis

If I get Disney afternoon collection.

Well that's it. I don't need anything else from Capcom.

That'll be all. Thank you.

edit: Well actually that was completely wrong.

I still want new Okami, new Viewtiful Joe and Ace Attorney.
I just don't need Monster Hunter, personally.
I still would love everyone who likes the series to get it.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Life eShop Selects - July 2017

Timppis

Played Overcooked with my wife.

It is Hilarious!

It is exactly what you need from a game. Fun. Lot's of it.

Best e-shop title thus far. Still gotta try that Death Squared.

Waiting SO MUCH for Golf Story, Wargroove and Stardew Valley.

So many good indies and retails and 1st party games and FIFA and WWE and... phew.

I think I might have a bigger Switch library in a year than I had on Wii U all through it's lifecycle.

Re: Nintendo Records Best Q1 Sales Since 2011 in Profitable Start to the Year

Timppis

@SLIGEACH_EIRE

Of course they would release what is known to be a hit bundle at this time.

Everything else would be just stupid business. And the investors are WAY more impressed about the software sales and attach rate that Nintendo are currently producing then at the hardware sales.

We'll look at the hardware sales in a year. And then again in year and a half.

Right now most Switch have still gone to Nintendo early adopters and Nintendo fans. There is not enough evidence to say it's a massive hit as of yet.

It has a good chance, but it isn't there yet.

Attach rates on the games... Those are simply flabbergasting.

Re: Review: Splatoon 2 (Switch)

Timppis

@SLIGEACH_EIRE

I have a little bit of the same problem right now.

Luckily there is already a must have game. That's Zelda.

ARMS I have no interest in after the demo weekends. Spla2oon I am still on the fence.

Have to wait until August 29th when the Rabbids arrive. After that it's almost too many games in the following months. FIFA, WWE2K18, Odyssey, great indies hopefully with Stardew Valley, Golf Story, and who knows maybe even XC2 and Steep this year.

Oh I really wish they manage to get the Steep to Switch.

Really? You don't say? It is in fact not the same as factual informative theory verifiable via scientific method? It is not in fact empirically observable? It is not objective in every perceivable manner?

You must be wrong.
