Re: Random: Backpack Kid Suing Epic For Inclusion Of Floss Dance Move In Fortnite

Timppis

Maybe Fortnite could have asked, compensated or otherwise gotten a permission to do this?

Maybe people should be more concerned about Fortnite not giving a crap about copyrights (as was the case with Carlton) or just credit to where it's due?

Anyone blaming kid or Ribeiro for suing is allocating intellectual theft. Unfortunately that is how the world today sees creative work altogether.

Hopefully someone steals something obvious from Fortnite and we can see the blatant double standards from their part.

Re: Nintendo Will Remove Smash Bros. Ultimate's Offensive Depiction Of Native Americans

Im sick and tired of the people who have never experienced loss of privilege or who have never faced oppression or blatant racism to whine about being PC.

Just because the entire world has been your personal safe space doesn't mean that it should stay the exact way you want it to stay.

Have some fruiting empathy people. If you are incapable of that then at least deal with the criticism like you expect every person to deal with the insults and segregation every day. Shut the hell up about it.

Re: Monolith Soft Director Would "Love" Xenoblade Chronicles X On Switch, Money Stands In The Way

Timppis

I have plenty of money to throw around.

None of that is going to Monolith though. Unless they at some point manage to actually make ONE, not many just ONE adequate side quest in their games.

One would be enough.

XCX Is one of the overhyped and overliked games in the history of gaming and XC2 suffered from pretty much every same problem. Pacing, side quests, grinding... urgh. Battle system was great, there were some good enemies and characters, but way too many game breaking flaws in both games. One of the worst things was too large empty worlds.

I eventually just ran through XC2 because I had invested too much time into it.

1. I have 2- and 4-year olds that play weekly on the variety kit. I have yet had but the slightest damage on the motorcycle horn. Other than that, it has been absolutely superb on durability.

2. They do take a lot of space. Like toys usually do. I agree on this.

3. Variety kit at least is entertaining. Games are easy enough for my children and the building and customisation and creation tools are easy and robust for me. This new kit looks to be especially focusing on the games and challenges within the game.

I will definitely get this for my kids again. Although I really might need to buy them their own Switches now.

Re: Review: Fe (Switch eShop)

Short, clunky and empty.

How the heck does this get 8?

Sure it's beautiful in it's own way but it's not a good video game. Is this some sort of "Hey at least EA tried" consolation prize?

Re: Review: Mercenaries Saga Chronicles (Switch eShop)

Timppis

After playing through the first game and on my way through the second one I will simply say that the game is solid.

It´s generic, but it´s well made. The battles are hard enough if you want to play without grinding, but there is still manageable threshold of difficulty.

You can see that it´s older game and there are some AI glitches that you can exploit, but there are also some nice surprises within the battles.

Definitely worth the price because of the battles and the variety of characters.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo Switch Retail Games of 2018

Timppis

Compared to the gaming cornucopia that 2017 was across all platforms, this seems like a star player had been substituted out and we get solid backup instead.

Not gonna be amazed and dazzled, but gonna get the points needed probably.

I just wish FE Switch is great. That'll make or break my year if this is the bulk of what we are going to get.

@Dr_Corndog

I hadn't then yet played any Final Fantasies so for me it was a new thing.

But that is awesome. Thanks for sharing the tidbit. It's always nice to learn new stuff about things you already like

I might have to put it on my already WAY TOO LONG list of games still to be purchased on Switch.
