Re: Review: Splatoon 2 (Switch)

Timppis

@dorkeybubblehead

I am sure that he has played Splatoon a plenty. But reading from the review and looking at the other reviews there are a lot of things that modern online shooters and modern online competitive games have as a standard and this does not have them.

@Kalmaro

Yes. That is what I am saying. It is a false opinion. It is false and not true. It is in fact not an opinion at all. It is a non-opinion. It is a dead opinion. It has ceased to be an opinion.

@roadrunner343

It might be a great game, but it seems that this review blatantly overlooks the standards of competitive online games and competitive shooters. I am personally still on the fence on whether or not to get it. Never really liked the single player in the first one and dunno if I have the time and stamina to put hours into the multiplayer like I did with the first one (ie. having two kids nowadays instead of one baby under six months).

Re: Former Project M Devs Unveil Icons: Combat Arena; It Sure Looks Like Smash Bros

Timppis

@Fuz said it earlier here. The one great aspect of Smash is having all these iconic characters going at it.

Other part is the polish, the quality, the Nintendo touch that they have on almost every first party game.

This looks to have neither. But kudos on guys at least on not having a german electrician named Marcus as a character or something like that

@CargoSushiimira
This should be reply to every internet discussion for the next two weeks and it would still be relevant

Re: Netflix Renews Castlevania Series For A Second, Longer Season

Timppis

@Ralek85

The show is rated R.

Why would you start an argument about showing it to children?

It's not meant for children. Hence the rating.

Not everything in this world is meant for adults and kids alike.

I sure as heck won't be showing my kids 18+ movies and they won't be playing 18+ games until they are 18 or do it secretly (which kids tend to do).

Re: Netflix Renews Castlevania Series For A Second, Longer Season

Timppis

If cursing and gore is what puts people off a tv-series then maybe they should just not watch that particular tv-series.

I bet most people don't know that people, especially people who deal with bad people and those bad people themselves say curse words a lot.

I hope you never have to hear what kind of language teacher students, midwives or kindergarten teachers when drunk use.

Was a great series and I am really looking forward to the next season.

There's plenty of amazing, beautiful and absolutely superb Disney stuff out there if you want that sort of thing.

Re: Platinum Games Teases The Wonderful 101 for Switch

Timppis

W101 Sequel would be great.

Not gonna happen.

Neither is Bayonetta on Switch.

Stop dreaming people. There is nothing to see here. There is no sudden Platinum Direct that will give everything you hope for. There is only Kamiya and he is a massive troll even if he is magnificent game designer as well.

Switch is Doomed.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Life eShop Selects - June 2017

Timppis

Shantae is great. Just few things before I 100% it.

Might get GoNNER after the reviews it's been getting, but I just bought Snake Pass, gonna get Bomberman when the discount hits and then it's already time for Splatoon 2, and then Rabbids, FIFA, MARIO, XENOBLADE, ALL THE BEAUTIFUL INDIES AND SUCH!!!

AARRGHH SO MANY GAMES.

I don't think I ever had this conundrum with Wii U or even Wii.

Good job Nintendo.

And for the end, moment of silence for Steep. I really wished that they would have managed to port that one.

Re: Rumour: Porting Steep to the Switch Is Posing a Steep Challenge

Timppis

I love how Nintendo fans are really loud when 3rd parties are absent.

Then someone says they will make/port game of a INSERT GENRE HERE.

Nintendo fans immediately go. "Why didn't you make INSERT PREVIOUS NINTENDO GAME HERE Instead?!?"

Sigh

And for everyone wishing for South Park. I hope that too, but it has absolutely nothing to do with this case.

Sigh

Sometimes I wonder if Nintendo fans really are the reason we never have good things.

Re: Rumour: Porting Steep to the Switch Is Posing a Steep Challenge

Timppis

This just shows the age old wisdom that 99,9% of internet refuses to acknowledge.

Porting is not easy.

I really really hope they manage to pull this through since I will definitely get it and I still haven't bought it for any other machine.

You can do it Ubisoft! We believe in you!

(After WiiU and Ubisoft being always the only big hitter to support Nintendo they deserve some love instead of the usual crap they get).

Re: Nintendo Download: 29th June (Europe)

Timppis

30€ for Bomberman is legit.

And since I don't have Snake Pass either, might as well grab that too.

Soon Splatoon is out, then it's almost august and my most wanted game atm. RABBIDS + MARIO!

Re: Nintendo's Shinya Takahashi on Producing New IP

Timppis

@GoldenGamer88

"Anyway, less than a month till Splatoon 2!"

I cut off some of those excess exclamation marks, because they make people look insane, but other than that, level of enthusiasm you showed is pretty much 100% accurate on what it should be.

Can't wait to get Splatoon. I've basically been just hundred percenting Zelda for a month now, since ARMS even though originally made me interested eventually didn't convince. Deal breaker was the bland Grand Prix mode and Hoops mechanic in which you just might not hit the basket... damn I hated that one.

Might dip into that later with the new characters etc. But as of now I just have Zelda and Shantae that I play at all. MK8 is still on my buy list though.

Splatoon 2... please be here.

Re: Nintendo Software Manager on Producing New IP

Timppis

@Anti-Matter

Might be that Nintendo hasn't gone that way since Bandai Namco has been making the Taiko Master for Nintendo systems a long time now and they have always been massive sellers as well.

So there has been no need for Ninty to go that way, especially since it's already been confirmed that there is Taiko Master game coming to Switch too.

Re: EA is Focused on Nintendo Switch Portability and "Exploring Other Products"

Timppis

It is portable console.

Why deny it?

It hasn't got the same horsepower as the other two especially with their teraflop-gpu-4k-my-weiner-is-bigger-than-yours-middlegen-upgrades.

So what.

It's a portable console.

That's enough. And I'll be getting that FIFA thank you. NOT because I see any sort of need or obligation to support third parties, but because I want to play FIFA anywhere on the go and then end the seasons with the most crucial matches on my gigantic tv.

That's what I want.
