Re: FIFA 18 on Switch to Include Ultimate Team, EA Boasts of Most 'Advanced' Portable Version

Timppis

@wiggleronacid

It was good, but it wasn't something that I will miss in the Switch version.

It was a fun diversion and I did play it through once but for me personally it has always been about a good career mode. I don't even play Ultimate Team which is by far the most popular mode nowadays.

Story mode was fun, but not essential.

On Madden on the other hand... I need that LongShot

Re: Super Nintendo World Theme Park Could Interact With Switch Systems

Timppis

There better be one up in Florida when we go there 2022 for a month of amusement park folly with our entire family.

(That family consists of parents, eight siblings and at the moment 18 cousins spawned from those siblings and their respective companions).

Although Disney World is still the number one place, but hey... Get that Nintendo World there!

@Kiz3000

Seems good to me. Shovel Knight took even less than that.

I didn't know what HLTB was, because in finnish that's almost the same acronym as LGTB

But that site looks really good for me. Good to learn new things.

@NewAdvent

Nearing that 200 hour mark now

I accidentally walked into the sanctum as I was looting the Hyrule Castle and had to load before I watched the cutscene. I don't want to kill Ganon just yet. I still have mazes to solve and dragonflys to collect.

As a sidenote, I love how there are few NPC's that tell you that maybe you should actually be doing your job of saving the world instead of talking and helping strangers.

Re: Video: Meet Ninjara, The Master Of Stealth In ARMS

Timppis

After playing numerous matches against disappear spawning wannabe-pros that you just punched in the face with your other arm as they appeared I played amazing matches against some truly crafty peeps.

Mixing the "Look I disappeared" with dashes and decoys made those games REALLY difficult to me and I did lose most of them.

But they were some of the best matches and most fun fighting game moments that I've had in my memory. Kudos to you Ninja-pros.

And good luck to you Ninja-Noobs that are going to get blasted by anyone with two cents worth of common sense and strategy

Re: Rumour: Image Of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle amiibo Surfaces Online

Timppis

Personally.

I would love for them to incorporate Amiibo on the game so that you could get different costumes for the rabbids you have. I would love to put my Diddy Kong amiibo there and get m'self a dual wielding commando rabbid.

As for these, Laura K said in a quick discussion "Fake as s**t".

And she's nailed it thus far so I am going with her here

Re: Gallery: Revel In This Ridiculously Retro 3-Bit ARMS Artwork

Timppis

I was eleven years old brat.

A gaming magazine published an article about a teletext based multiplayer rpg that would be published in our national broadcasting channels teletext pages.

It would be published at 4am and would be up for four hours at the first go, you could participate via phone.

So I woke up at 4AM with our telephone in hand, trying to find it.

For three hours I sat there waiting and trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Until I realized that it was the dawn of April that day.

Arceus damnit.

edit: I wasn't eleven, it was 1989 so I was nine.

Re: Video: Ubisoft Unleashes Its E3 Teaser Trailer

Timppis

Oh the Ubi haters are already strong on this thread.

Ubi makes bad, good and great games. It was one of the heavy hitters that stood with Wii U even when others bailed out at a moments notice.

I like good games no matter who they are from and if big players like Ubi do games for Ninty all the merrier.

Gonna get Steep, Mario + Rabbids and possibly Rayman as well this year. Depending if they give some other stuff too might get that as well.

Re: PlatinumGames Has An "Interesting" Switch Title In Development

Timppis

I just came to this thread to like any comment wanting to have Wonderful 101 sequel.

Seriously that game needs a sequel.

Although others mentioned here like new Okami or completely new IP or working for some forlorn Nintendo IP would be good too.

Platinum is win-win situation whatever they do.

Re: Video: Revel in these 8 Reasons to Get Hyped for ARMS

@JasmineDragon

I do understand that, but for me the personal preference for the traditional controls is so great that I can't fathom how they didn't apply even basic twist with shoulder buttons or something.

I still do like most of the game and I hope it'll be a great success, but just for me this is now only a demo that I'll try and then I'll start waiting for Spla2oon. (which it really should be called)

Re: Nintendo Confirms Its Plans for E3 2017, Including Playable 'Sandbox-Style' Super Mario Odyssey

Timppis

@TheLZdragon

I said up towards 2020. That is not six years.

But if they do have something coming up in six years, Yes I would love for them to announce it. I think Zelda was announced something like that and came up pretty good.

And no, I don't have any idea on how game development goes. I have not learned anything as a stockholder, game developer, gamer and enthusiast.

@aaronsullivan

No. Marshi said:
"Nintendo should just concentrate on making this first year for switch a truky stellar one. Then worry about next year after that."

That doesn't imply in any way that he spoke about what to show etc. If that was the intention then I simply misunderstood it.

You are absolutely right that focus isn't a synonyme for exclusively. And I absolutely do hope that you are right about this and they do show something. We do know already that there is a FE-game coming up in 2018 (unless delayed) and I am willing to bet an eshop title with anyone that Xeno is going to be 2018 release at earliest in the West.

Focusing on immediate releases is good when you have base of customers. What they should now do is go full fledge "This is going to give you all this Nintendo Super S**t in the future, BUY IT" as a console marketing. They need to sell the Switch, constantly and they need to make everyone understand that this isn't another WiiU when it comes to sales (which I don't believe it will be, but still)

This phrasing just takes me out of the hype train and gives me the idea that there is zero reason to even list games I would like to see, since we know most of the 2017 titles anyway.

edit: Im speaking as 95% Nintendo fanboy and 5% as a stockholder so I really don't want them to mess this up. It's been good for the last few years and I would like to keep it that way

Re: Nintendo Confirms Its Plans for E3 2017, Including Playable 'Sandbox-Style' Super Mario Odyssey

Timppis

@Marshi

On a business that takes you several years to produce games, taking a mental attitude of making one year great and being concerned about the next ones later is probably the stupidest idea that I can think of as a stockholder.

They need to have games outlined all the way up to 2020 at this point concerning their major franchises. Anything else is sheer lack of good management.

I will be very worried if they don't give us any glimpse on 2018 or even beyond that.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Its Plans for E3 2017, Including Playable 'Sandbox-Style' Super Mario Odyssey

Timppis

@ThatNyteDaez

Yes I am.

Nintendo is known for their absolute secrecy concerning game development. In fact it is astonishing how little leaks out from them compared to many others.

However this also means that we live in constant uncertainty regarding what and when or if anything comes up.

WiiU showed us that Ninty isn't capable of churning enough titles out to satisfy the customer base. They did produce absolute fantastic games, but they were few.

Having an E3 That is focused on games coming up this year means that we will not see what OR if they have stuff in store for the coming years.

WiiU had a decent first year, followed by horrible years afterwards. I don't want that to happen again.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Its Plans for E3 2017, Including Playable 'Sandbox-Style' Super Mario Odyssey

Timppis

Focus on this years games doesn't sound good.

This spells D-R-O-U-G-H-T for next year.

They should have gone Super Marioyan and tell about EVERY game that is in the development cycle right now. EVERY single game no matter if it's coming 2018, 2019 or even 2020.

That would have convinced people that they can pump games out. Right now I ain't convinced about next year.

Or for third party that matter.

Although if I get that Rabbids + Mario Tactical RPG I will be happy.
