Head of communications at episodic based studio Telltale has discussed the idea of bringing more games to the Nintendo Switch. Job Stauffer has spoken of his love for the console and teased that "it wouldn't be unheard if more of our series also made it to Switch". Mr Stauffer was referring to Minecraft: Story Mode - The Complete Adventure (Minecraft Season 1 with all added DLC), which is currently the only announced title from the studio coming to the Switch.
The full quote can be read below:
We haven't quite announced [Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2 for Switch] but we certainly hope to continue things on that platform; we're big fans. It wouldn't be unheard if more of our series also made it to Switch; we love the platform. It's kind of perfect for what we do. All of our games are the same on mobile as they are on consoles. And for a mobile console [like the Switch] it's pretty awesome.
Minecraft: Story Mode - The Complete Adventure is due for release this August for Switch whilst Minecraft: Story Mode - Season 2 is due for release on 11th July for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and mobile devices with an expected release for Switch later down the line.
With the Switch off to a strong start sales wise, should we expect more franchises to be ported over? Could we even get a devoted Telltale series for a Nintendo franchise like Zelda, Fire Emblem or F-Zero? In our dreams, perhaps, but stranger things have happened.

Telltale games work well on both consoles and handhelds, it should be easy enough on the Switch without too much technical issues. They just need to miss out on the "switch" tax some digital content seems to have.
That's good to hear. I just hope their games improve in quality a little. Some of their new stuff has been great, but others have been a bit so-so.
Sounds good. I'd be all over Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us should they port some older titles!
I already have Minecraft: Story Mode - The Complete Adventure preordered, I like the Telltale episodic games so I hope they put more on the Switch.
A majority of what they've made since The Wolf Among Us runs like a colicky drunk uncle on the PS4; the Switch hasn't a prayer. The same complacency that's left TTG patently unable to capture the momentum of earlier times in terms of quality extends to their total disregard for optimization... assuming they even understand the basic concept. Remember Sam & Max for the Wii and its perpetual struggle to even break into double digits in terms of frame rate?
Their engine has always been an incompatible mess unsuitable for anything but PCs.
Base.com has been listing Guardians of the Galaxy and Batman for ages now:

More 3rd party games are always welcome.
Telltale tells no tales... hopefully.
I haven't been too interested in their games since Walking Dead Season 2. Some great storytelling, though.
Wait?
Wasn't Guardians of the Galaxy supposed to come to Switch?
@Timppis That was just a rumor by Laura Kate Dale, I think.
@KirbyTheVampire
Awesome. Then there is still very much hope.
I'd rather have Dontnod Life is Strange franchise on the Switch.
@VaderGB "it should be easy enough on the Switch without too much technical issues."
Agreed. But this is Telltale we're talking about here...
@Solid_Stannis "A majority of what they've made since The Wolf Among Us runs like a colicky drunk uncle on the PS4; the Switch hasn't a prayer."
Yeah, pretty much this. Their Batman game played awful across mobile and PC for several weeks upon launch. Good optimization has never been a strong point for Telltale.
@Reignmaker The Batman game on 360 was almost literally unplayable due to constant performance issues. I think it's dishonest of them to even sell it.
While i have zero interest in the minecraft story game, i would happily rebuy games like Batman or Walking Dead. Hopefully future games from them will be on the Switch at the same time.
as long as they come on the carts not code in a box will be fine
Poor writing on your TV.
Poor writing on the go.
Wow, the possibilities...
Show me Dontnod then we'll talk.
I enjoy these and would love to see them on the Switch. Game of Thrones is my favorite, but I've also played Walking Dead and Back to the Future (which unfortunately sucked!).
I Hope that Batman Tell Tale Series come to Switch. I've beat on Xbox One but would play all over again.
I played all the telltale games that were release on the vita. I love them all.
Any new games that release on the switch will be a buy for me.
I thought Batman was coming out or was that a rumor?
