@JaxonH Yes, I completely agree. I believe that people should just stay out of the business portion of game companies and look more into the, well, games.

@JaxonH It does have some bearing on the system, as we learned with the Wii U. Less sales means Nintendo will probably spend less money on developing games, which means less fun for us.

@JaxonH I really don't get the Nintendoomers, but most of us want the Switch to succeed because we love Nintendo, and want others to enjoy it and want Nintendo to make more consoles.

I can see a handheld only Switch in the vein of the 2DS, but I do not see a more powerful Switch.

@Yoshi Well, the GamePad, while bulky, was quite light and, for lack of a better word, was toy-like.

That's great! I'm really optimistic about the Switch, though I do have doubts. It is possible that this will drop dramatically in April, though unlikely. The Switch definitely has more people interested than the Wii U ever did. People are asking me about it, and that has never happened.

Also, could you guys stop making fun of @SLIGEACH_EIRE? I don't think he deserves it. @Yasume is a different story, however.

I'm going to buy this as soon as I can to see if I'm into the "3D collectathon platformer" niche. I never played the likes of Banjo-Kazooie, so I'd like to see if I enjoy the genre.

Yes! I want to know release dates and more information. I am definitely going to watch this. It's also at a reasonable time for me, which makes me even more excited.

This Direct date is very eerily close to a 4chan rumour that said it would be on the 13th. Interesting.

Everyone here is talking about Star Fox 2, but I'm pretty shocked that Nintendo's offices are stuffy, restraining places, while Sony's are too free. I really thought it would be the opposite. Strange.

What I like about the Switch is that it has a built in selling point for its games. For example, "Sure, Splatoon 2 is very similar to the first. But could you take that game on the go?"

I'm still skeptical that it'll be a big success, so I'm only hoping it surpasses the Wii U in sales. However, I believe if Nintendo plays their cards correctly, the Switch could surpass even the N64, though that is a very unlikely scenario.

This is going to be a thing where people assume it's widespread because two people bent their Switches. Thus, Nintendoomed.

My Switch hasn't bent. So, to put it bluntly, they should just bring them back and get a new one, if they had warranty, or send it in to Nintendo. They shouldn't be sitting on their computer complaining.

Though, really, when is Splatoon Legends releasing. Nintendo announced it last year and never said anything else.

Kind of hesitant to buy this game, but I probably will if I get some extra money later in the year.

I don't care too much about the figures at launch, especially in Japan, where we all knew it would do well. I want to see how this turns out in the long run, and how Nintendo's strategy of staggering releases plays out. I think the Switch can easily surpass the Wii U and possibly, though quite unlikely, the GameCube.

@KiWiiU_Freek Which is exactly why big releases for the Switch are spread out across this year and next. And yet people complain about this pretty clever strategy.

Ah, good. Now I will most likely get this game later in the year, probably for Christmas.

@masterLEON Of course, though they could have just made the Dualies have slightly higher range and damage in exchange for everyone having the roll. They still have the two barrels gimmick.

I think Nintendo could have changed the gameplay a bit more. For example, the rolling mechanic could have been a new gameplay feature for all weapons, not just the Splat Dualies. In fact, I thought it was when I saw the original trailer for the game.

Nevertheless, Spla2n is undoubtedly a sequel, no question about it.

I could buy this on PC, but I think I'll hold out for the Switch version.

Am I the only one who doesn't really care about what Playtonic does? I buy games that look fun, exciting, and high-quality, which this does, and not because of their developer.

This is completely stupid. I was going to get this game, since I never got it on Wii U, but not anymore. I am not going to waste a ton of the small hard drive space on one game. Which is why I buy physical, but this is for the physical version, so no buy for me.

Understandable, if a little harsh, but still sad, though only because JonTron is one of my favorite YouTubers.

I understand exactly what Playtonic is doing. They're protecting their brand and IP. That's just a thing that companies do. No, Playtonic is not disabling the right to free speech or pushing the liberal agenda. Jon made these, pretty disgusting in my opinion, comments and he's facing some consequences.

Though, an article I read compared this to the Pewdiepie incident, but they're not comparable.

That confidence is great. The more faith Nintendo has in the Switch, the more consumers and third parties will buy into it.

Seriously though, good on Nintendo for selling this many Switches. Hopefully they can maintain momentum and actually stock enough for stores.

I have had a few Joy-Con disconnects, though they were in both controllers, were easily fixable, and were probably due to me. The statement isn't that helpful honestly. I understand the Internet blows everything majorly out of proportion, but it is a problem, with some people at least.

Truthfully, I'm not the biggest fan of Link's original design, but I love his new blue tunic and especially the Hylian Hood.

I somehow got a Switch by walking into Toys R Us the moment it went on sale. Even if this is PR talk, which it most definitely is, I'm happy to hear positive words about the Switch regardless.

I got a screen protector already, albeit the one included with the carry case, which is pretty flimsy, but whatever.

Oh man, I just got FRN but I'll probably pick this up with Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove. It looks awesome and even better than the original.

Hey, remember when we saw some footage of the Wii U version, and everyone was panicking and having comment wars over if the Wii U version would be gimped, even after it was said that the quality was because of the stream.

Anyways, I only got the Switch version, but it is good to see that Wii U owners aren't at a disadvantage to enjoy this gorgeous and incredible game.

I'm going physical for the most part, except for Shovel Knight and possibly Fast RMX.

I played Breath of the Wild in both handheld and docked mode and I did notice some hiccups in docked mode, but nothing that hindered the gameplay in the slightest.

@gatorboi352 Actually, I quite like the Joy-Cons. They feel nice and fit my hands very well.

Hm, I would buy these at launch, but I want to save up for ARMS, Spla2n, and Mario Odyssey. I own FRN and Shovel Knight anyway, so I can wait.

Nintendoer was apparently taken, so I went with my backup, Nintendoer64. I'm not salty.

It was illegally gotten, whether the guy who received it knew or not. Since it was stolen, it should be confiscated, no matter the circumstances.

@Untempered-Link Except, by limiting yourself to simply those two options, you're playing right into the madman's hands. Either way, he/she directly or indirectly kills someone. The best option is to instead think of a third option, for instance, attempting to take the madman by surprise and apprehending them. In that case, there is at least a small chance that no one will die.

This has no relevance to the article. I just wanted to give my two cents on this situation.
