Being a friend of Max, he's not the stuck-up jerk people are making him out to be here. Also, this is a bigger find than you think, because most of DiC's cels were destroyed by Disney in response to Andy Heyward rejecting their proposition for him to buy the company back from them.

I'm actually glad they're putting in obscure stuff like this, because 75% of both VCs were first-party stuff that wasn't hot anymore.

Star Soldier is quite notable because Takahashi Meijin, a former Hudson Soft executive, was able to fire 16 shots per second in that game.

My thoughts:

There were good moments. There were sh*t moments. It unfortunately kept flip-flopping between said good and sh*t moments. At least the models look good.

I wish there was a template so I could do one with Bren McGuire from Turrican.

Where the beams hit him in all directions possible, but he doesn't even flinch. He then says "F*ck you, Galeem" in a TTS voice and suddenly does the Kamikaze Attack from Turrican 2.

"You must do it!"
"I told you, I'm through with it! I don't want to run around in that piece of scrap metal anymore!"
"But you're the only one who can save us now, Bren!"
Bren slips into his Turrican Assault Suit.
