Re: Talking Point: Is Hollow Knight: Silksong Too Difficult?

TerribleTerabytes

@Lizuka No, this is stupid. If the game's vision doesn't fit an easy mode, it shouldn't have it. I say this as someone who knows this game isn't for me. I hate stupidly difficult games but I will never tell someone they're wrong for enjoying them or telling the developer to make the game easier. That's just self entitlement. You think it's too hard? That's okay. But stay in your lane.

Re: Random: Donkey Kong Bananza's Idle Animations Are Outrageously Cute

@Suketoudara How is she a girl boss? She literally starts out with zero confidence and gains her bravery over the course of the game. She's terrified when you first find her. And she relies heavily on DK to help her, and DK needs her singing abilities for the Bananza abilities. They're partners. A girl boss is a female character who is practically flawless and is good at everything. Pauline is NOT that in the slightest.

Also her dialog at the Getaways is the most genuinely the most charming part about the game.

Re: Kirby Air Riders Zooms Onto Switch 2 This November

@Roger_Brazil Ah yes, a game that is absolutely not related to Mario Kart World, does not play at all like Mario Kart World and doesn't even feature Mario characters could be DLC for Mario Kart World.

Did you even think your statement through? Is Mario Kart the only racing game allowed to exist in your opinion? Because that's really dumb if so.

City Trial alone sets this worlds apart for Mario Kart World. Get real.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting The Switch 2's Next Exclusive 'Drag x Drive'?

TerribleTerabytes

I respect Nintendo for still making experimental games like this, but this isn't my cup of tea. The gameplay looks very basic, the graphics aren't much to look at and I'm just not into sports games unless they have the word Wii in front of them. For $20 you could do a whole lot worse I guess but nothing I've seen really speaks to me.

This feels like ARMS where they'll support it out the gate but then quickly fizzle out. I don't see this game having any sort of longevity and it probably won't be talked about after this year. I would be pleasantly surprised if they proved me wrong though. Maybe the Marketing just sucks? Guess we'll wait and see.

Re: Nintendo Won't Let Charity Speedrunning Event Use Its Games Without Permission, Because Of Course

TerribleTerabytes

People are quick to judge but you really can't blame Nintendo for being cautious as to who can use their IP.

You can say "It's for Charity!" all you want but what is the history of this specific charity? Are they a clean organization? Do they actually deliver on what they promise? Vetting charities to ensure the IP is used properly and the proceeds actually go to a good cause is NOT a bad thing.

They didn't even ask for permission to use the games so honestly, that's on them.

Re: Atari To Acquire 'SteamWorld' Dev Thunderful

@Thomystic I appreciate the concern but honestly, I think it's on me for my comment sounding condescending. I can see how someone can read it and assume that I'm dogging on Atari because I only bring up the more negative things. It wasn't my intent, but I think I could've worded myself better lol.

@Zeebor15 Honestly, I just didn't pay attention to Atari. I only assumed they were a graveyard of Retro rereleases, so I always write them off. I had no idea they were doing more than just that. Which I guess is on me. But I'll be sure to do so going forward.

Re: Feature: "It Was Hell" - Spike Chunsoft Devs Discuss 'No Sleep For Kaname Date - From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES'

TerribleTerabytes

God I love these games. Guys if you've never heard of them, the AI Somnium File games are masterworks of amazing storytelling and puzzle solving. I absolutely adore this series.

The first game is a gem and I recommend starting there just so you get a sense of everyone. it has an incredible strong narrative and an absolutely curve ball of a twist. It also features multiple routes so there's plenty of character exploration throughout.

The second game Nirvana Initiative is a delightful follow up but it's unfortunately one of those cases where a sequel is afraid to be a sequel. They dumbed down Date's character for instance because exploring him further would require spoiling the first game. And the case in this game is completely unrelated to the case in the second. But this is still a fantastic game that I absolutely recommend. Despite its flaws, it stands strong on its own two feet.

Seriously, give these games a try. They are a WILD ride.

Re: "Frustrating" Nintendo Cert Process Causes Last-Minute Switch Delay For 'Old Skies'

TerribleTerabytes

Lmao this is absolutely on the developer. Polish your game before you release it, it's not a difficult concept. Plenty of Indie devs can publish their games just fine it seems. In fact, it's actually too easy to do when you get the sheer of volume of garbage shovelware that's present on the eShop.

Says more about them than it does Nintendo. I haven't heard of this game before but now I definitely won't be picking it up with the incredible amount of entitlement they're showing.

Re: Mario Kart World Brings Back Another Fan-Favourite Mode

TerribleTerabytes

This Battle mode is CHEEKS dude, they didn't even try. Only two modes? One of them being the worst mode from 8 Deluxe? No last man standing option for Balloon battle? The Battles take place on TRACKS AGAIN? And it doesn't even make use of the Free Roam Mode???

Nah dude, this is so lazy it's not even funny. They could've at least done like a Fortnite Style battle royale across the whole map but that would've bene too much fun I guess.
