Re: Mario Kart World "Paid DLC" Would Be A Big No-No, According To Ex-Nintendo Duo

TerribleTerabytes

@PizzaKing Same. I don't know why NintendoLife acts like their knowledge is important. All they were to Nintendo were PR people. They might have some insider info on some of their internal politics but its been years since they've worked there at this point.

Have you noticed that they ALWAYS have something negative or "revealing" to say? It's all for clicks and nothing else. Truth is, they don't know anything about how current Nintendo operates and only pretend to based on outdated knowledge from positions that weren't even THAT close to the higher ups at the company to begin with. They're just grifters pretending to be insiders. At the end of the day, they don't know anymore than you or I.

Re: Has Metroid Prime 4 Taken Inspiration From Dread For Its New Suit?

TerribleTerabytes

@Henmii How? The game looks gorgeous, very much in the vein of Prime Remastered which is considered to be one of Switch 1's best looking games. I honestly think comments like this are especially dim considering this is and always has been a Switch 1 game. What were you expecting? Do you think the Switch can suddenly pull power out of thin air to make this game look like a PS5 game? Have realistic expectations. Your disappointment is on you.

Re: Nintendo Music Drops Three More Albums, Here's Every Song Included

Us: "Hey Nintendo, could you MAYBE pick up the pace and release multiple albums a week on your music app?"

Nintendo: "Hmmm....you know what? Sure. We here at Nintendo understand your desire to listen to our music and engage with our content outside of our games. So we're going to drop THREE soundtracks on the service for this week."

Us: "THREE?! Wow! Okay, awesome! What are they? Tears of the Kingdom? Fire Emblem Three Houses? Xenoblade Chronicles X releases this week, so maybe that game? Oooh or maybe a classic like F-Zero GX or Kirby Air Ride???"

Nintendo: "Better than that! Here's our soundtracks for Dr. Mario, and TWO versions of Tetris, the NES and Gameboy soundtrack! ENJOY!"

Us: "......The Monkey's Paw curls once again."

Re: Sakurai Says Japanese Developers Should Avoid Trying To Appeal To Western Tastes

TerribleTerabytes

I 110% agree. It can obviously be a case by case basis depending on what kind of game you're making, but ultimately if a game is Japanese in nature, it should cater to that audience.

Take Persona for instance. The culture within each game is heavily Japenese centric and I wouldnt want it any other way. I've learned so much about different foods, social cues and practices because of these games. I can't tell you how many times I've Googled a certain food or what "Senpai" actually means. And Japenese centric games just have a certain look, feel and appeal and it would be a damn shame if that was left behind. It's a part of their culture that I welcome wholeheartedly.

Western games have their place but gaming would be very boring if it just appealed to America and Europe.

Re: Mario & Luigi: Brothership Version 1.0.1 Now Available, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

@N00BiSH This is such a non-issue. I don't understand why people are so upset about. Sure, it trips up muscle memory but it's not a bug at all. And plus, making Luigi's actions tied to B would effect how the Plug menu works which would be confusing.

I admit, it did trip me up at first but I got over it after the first few areas. Once you get used to it, it's second nature like anything else.
