People immediately blaming Nintendo for this have such an immense lack of awareness. Do you all not realize the economy is in shambles because of tariffs? Everything is more expensive, people's wages haven't gone up and that's effecting EVERYTHING. Not just video games.

Seriously, @Liam_Doolan, this needs to be fixed. This poll is heavily skewed because of all the unnecessary data points you're including. Polls need to be straight forward to be accurate.

@Kilroy How DARE a game have a tutorial after being absent for over 20 years. Imagine the world not revolving around you. Literally the most overblown controversy I've seen in recent years. Outside of one small section where you're escorting him, he's really not all that intrusive.

Some Metroid fans are seriously SO sensitive about certain aspects. I get this is a series famous for its isolation and atmosphere but surely it can get away with SOME characterization sometimes, right? It just feels a bit ridiculous to me. It's like how Zelda fans argue that Link should NEVER talk but that makes zero sense because he does canonically, have a voice.

It just feels like some people take small changes way too seriously.

Anyone who complains about how this “isn’t a real Metroid game” will have their opinion immediately discarded. The reality is, you don’t actually know what you want and what you believe as the core elements of a Metroid Prime game are far removed from reality. Some of you need to get with the times and toss out your cynicism. You were never going to like this game no matter what they did. Please exit stage right, we don’t need your negativity anymore!

How the heck is Yacht Clubs struggling after all of the money they made off of Shovel Knight? Are they serious? With how many copies the game has sold across all platforms, laying off staff is inexcusable. Sounds like scammy mismanagement to me.

This just convinces me that the UK has poor taste in video games. They'll go wild about FIFA, a regurgitated slop franchise and will sleep on super fun and creative games like this. NintendoLife is the outlier.

Sounds like a solid game with a solid score! I already have the game preordered and ready to go! I’m just super excited to delve into a Sakurai passion project, the man and his team make such addicting, simple yet deep video games that have high replayability and focus on fun. They just have a certain… je ne sais quoi to them.

If this game didn’t gel with you during the Global Test ride, PLEASE just give it time to simmer. As the review states, there is a learning curve despite the fact the game only uses three buttons. It’s truly fun when you master its chaos.

The amount of people who are saying "Not Interested" is so depressing. I don't want to hear complaints about incomplete or overpriced games. This game has so much content packed into it and is complete on release. And it's damn good. But sure, go ahead and write it off. You all who answered that, lack taste.

Sometimes I feel like some of you don't even like video games if you're not willing to give games like this a shot.

@Ultimapunch Fear mongering at its finest. Game prices go up every other generation and gaming has always been an expensive luxury hobby. And comparatively, they're cheaper than they were in the SNES/N64 era.

Not sure why you brought up the secondhand market. They're just as bad, if not, worse since the games are used and are barely cheaper. And don't even get me started on the Retro Market. It's criminally overpriced.

And again, every game needs an update these dats so what you buy physically is NOT going to be the game you get 20 years down the line after the Switch 2 is long obsolete. Then you throw in things like DLC and it gets even more complicated. You don't just simply plug in a game and play anymore, it hasn't been that way since 2011 before the Wii U.

I bet the same people getting bent out of shape about this will happily go to steam and download their digital game.

Seriously, you guys need to get over it. Digital is the future. Most games aren't even complete in box anymore and require at least SOME sort of download.

@topsekret Thanks! I'm happy to report that I'm really enjoying it so far! Almost through the Loguetown Arc at the end of the East Blue Saga. Episode 51 of 1149. I'm really enjoying the world building and character development a ton, especially Nami during the Arlong Park arc.

I don't really have a goal of when to finish this in mind, I'm just trying to watch when I can and enjoy the ride. I'm in it for the long haul, so I'm trying not to concern myself with how much I have left.

There's a quote that I watched from a YouTube video that convinced me to try to climb this mountain.

"1,000+ episodes may seem impossible when you're starting out, but when you finally catch up, and you get to know these characters and their world, you'll be wishing you had 1,000 more with them."

So, it's about the Journey, not the Destination for me!
