people are bitching about paying this full price for an 11-year-old game, but they'll REpay higher prices for Nintendo games that are older than that by far... -logic lost!... buy more picross!
@carlos82 the fishing and Survival are free after original purchase updates, regardless of when purchased, but you must initiate the survival to use the fishing, which I feel sucks. I want fishing without the survival mode; which due to crashes I may not use...
@Astral-Grain while playing the base version on Switch you must choose to turn on the survival version or play without it. Can be later turned on. I have played Skyrim on switch since first released (on switch) (copied to a 1 TB card (1/2 filled) and have only had 1 mini crash since playing daily. I suspect the crashes have more to do with XCSD card quality/# of games/ hacking etc... than normal gameplay or content. This suspicion does not address/include the bought or free DL/paid DLC.
People believe these cons because (most) scams are based on the victims' greed. Greedy people (even poor people can be greedy) think they'll get something no one/few else can, and get suckered. Almost every scam is based on the same principle, just a different version. Research the sale of the Eiffel Tower and the London Bridge; sold by a con artist to several people at the same time.
@rosemo Nintendos Face Raiders which may be different from Face Pilots, was a direct ripoff er copy of an earlier 3rd party game, though I've forgotten the name, I think it had the name germs in it. that original was a good game too, but not very successful.
I still have both originals and Guides. PLEASE for G-ds sakes Nintendo, don't turn this into a waifu game of thrones look-alike as you did Fire emblem.
@AG_Awesome The New Art Academy on the 3ds was much better for that translation of Bob Ross-style work. along with [a] well-thought-out lesson plan. Besides the resistive style screen, there was a button (Dpad option) in the 3ds colors live that allowed pressure sense changing between firm and soft.
People, people, people, PROPER e-contact cleaners are usually either Isoprople or Ethanol based (alcohol-evaporates) unlike WD (40) which is petroleum based (solvent)and will build up over time, attracting dust/dirt and has even been known to eat away at the plastics used in electronics.
so far I am playing all those on the SNES Picross 1-9, Marios Picross, the 9 on the 3ds, 6 (so far) on the switch and both 3d versions, and the original on the DS..... that's 27 various Picross games not including those nanogram ones also that I've purchased. INterface and options make all the difference.
@Tandy255 I like your icon, I think ( & Loved) Plant Puzzle League was an undersold, missed opportunity on Nintendos part; Great Game. I would pay DOUBLE to see it made for the 3ds; in 3d!
if you don't think Jupiter or HAL does it in a special Nintendo sort of way, just check out [the free] Nonograms (Picross) on any app store, the trial ones/cell phone versions are as boring as all get out. Also there was a 'ColorCross' physical cartridge (like the eshop version) on the DS, but many more puzzles, better instructions.
I have 2 but regret buying the lite due to the need to sign on to check the status each time I play a game on the opposite system' I also dislike the need to pay for an online service in order to coordinate the save states easily between the two. and more niggles with owning doubles.
I followed since the creation of the first one: There was some connection between these games and the Mother series, can not recall what though, similar crazy style at least, gg on the 3ds, I really enjoyed the battle style...interested in buying another myself...
I must be the only one who thought undertake sucked. I def. don't understand what everyone was all gaga about, it was/is trash IMO, not remotely entertaining.
@WiltonRoots Yes Virtual Pool was Da Bomb. It was being considered as usable for part of the Olympics (so many don't realize it's not just about jock sports) due to its realistic physics.
@Screen; Fire Emblem and F.E. Sacred Stones, Advance Wars and A.W. Black Hole, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and last but not least (not turn-based tho) Golden Sun & G.S. The Lost Age. I have had one since release, although I do not agree with hand cramps and there are actually some Switch games which have text smaller than that found on the GB Micro... (go figure)
These 7 alone are worth owning this system for if nothing else, and high replayability.
Gamestop employees did this with Fire Emblem Fates SE, the one and only version with the entire game on it, insisting no such thing existed, the (many various) employees bought it up ( limited editions) sold them on eBay at highly inflated prices. They're still there today for those god awful USD $2-$300 and used now no less. People also hoarded those Fire Emblem S.E. 3ds' L.E. consoles they were nowhere to be found, they're just now becoming reasonable.
Unless it is close to RCT 1, forget it, the 1st one on switch was garbage, they keep releasing these casual versions, I wish they would just release the original again, so I don't have to figure out how to dual install something else with windows 10.
we're training them, by buying a game before checking ratings. Buying garbage proves we'll buy anything they make, why should they work for their money when they don't have to? Stop buying day 1.
I'm going to say this one more time (/s) for the children that don't get it (those under 25) there's nothing new under the Sun. Anything and everything you have ever done, anything you think you invented, started, created... not...someone older than you, probably your parents, have already done long before you were born, and probably bigger & better than you, they just didn't advertise it, like many do today. Not a day goes by when I don't hear of some supposed scientific discovery that just surfaced but actually, that has already been discovered, years ago, or a game someone raves about; most of us have already been playing like forever... (done that been there...) I heard people review ClubHouse games and say they had never heard of many of those games... really? some/many nay most have been around hundreds of years! It just serves to illustrate, how in this age of information, just how pigeonholed (read as self-serving) ones' interests and activities can be. Suggestion, to the public, sometimes try doing something you Don't like or want to do. It's amazing how one grows in knowledge from that activity. If we only do, read and experience what we know and like, we grow slowly if at all. Just an observation...
That looks sexy as heck... as long as the community doesn't start asking for Waifu BS and schools or outfits to change into or vegetable fetch quests or any of the other filler crap that ruined what was once a great game named Fire Emblem. Nintendo: Stick with what works; if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
this MAY be good but please keep your Fire Emblem out of my Waifu... Thank You. and I'll keep our Waifu out of The traditional Fire Emblem and stop screwing up an otherwise great game.
I would love to know why gaming companies don't hire professional scriptwriters/authors such as oh I don't know, just look at the top ten in sci-fi writers (Steven King or whoever but sci-fi) and take a pick.. have them write the story, dialog and create to game around that, once the general concept is created of course... I would LOVE to see THAT sell!
The two most overlooked games in the last three console generations are Alliance Alive Both HD and DS ver. as well as Nostalgia for the DS. The former had great graphics even on the DS version. They both appear generic and are in fact unique as those style games go.
@Creature I have worked in the live entertainment industry, though not in gaming. Many I have worked with produce 80 % live entertainment and 20% back of the room sales products, after the show, I have noticed, the larger the entity, the more likely they are to steal ideas from lesser-known people in the same industry. There is a saying in our work, 'to steal one concept is plagiarism, to steal the entire show is research." They are quite bold about how they go about it too, who would call them out in front of their peers, after all, and-it-works!
This has a [very] faint hint of Tactics V: "Obsidian Brigade, but no one has reviewed that yet here, it looks intriguing... graphics aside. And that's been out quite sometime now...
I didn't really start being a fan of it until space invaders Extreme, (prefer 2) even though I have played since the original releases. Was just thinking about this for the switch... but at a less hallucinogenic price point.
I bought the island tickets twice, see no incentive since the island has the same items my town has exactly, just fewer of them. Also, my Nookazon has same items every day, almost never changes...boring. However, my Museum is [almost] finished in record time.
I can speak for others, and imagine it boils down to what you expected... for a Hamilton, it is fan-tastic. When I heard that (pitch perfect) Zelda music/ocarina, couldn't figure out where it was coming from... lol thought I left my DS on...
MInecraft Dungeons = Minecraft (no building) turns into Diablo, works great IMO. I didn't finish Xenoblade on 3ds but that was due to not being able to find an area: I'm told the map/ navigation was greatly improved on this version. Can't believe XC2 and XC are such different fighting styles. One I adore the other I deplore.

I wonder if you need to choose survival (mode) to use the paid DLC/new items or can you use it without the survival mode... also same for fishing?
