Re: Mini Review: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition - And Another One!

@Astral-Grain while playing the base version on Switch you must choose to turn on the survival version or play without it. Can be later turned on. I have played Skyrim on switch since first released (on switch) (copied to a 1 TB card (1/2 filled) and have only had 1 mini crash since playing daily. I suspect the crashes have more to do with XCSD card quality/# of games/ hacking etc... than normal gameplay or content. This suspicion does not address/include the bought or free DL/paid DLC.

Re: Random: South Africans Warned That $4 Nintendo Switches Are "A Scam"

SyFyTy

People believe these cons because (most) scams are based on the victims' greed. Greedy people (even poor people can be greedy) think they'll get something no one/few else can, and get suckered. Almost every scam is based on the same principle, just a different version. Research the sale of the Eiffel Tower and the London Bridge; sold by a con artist to several people at the same time.

Re: Digital Art Software Colors Live Gets A Physical Release On Switch

@AG_Awesome The New Art Academy on the 3ds was much better for that translation of Bob Ross-style work. along with [a] well-thought-out lesson plan.
Besides the resistive style screen, there was a button (Dpad option) in the 3ds colors live that allowed pressure sense changing between firm and soft.

Re: Feature: All Hail The Game Boy Micro, The Sexiest And Most Impractical Game Boy Ever

@Screen; Fire Emblem and F.E. Sacred Stones, Advance Wars and A.W. Black Hole, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and last but not least (not turn-based tho) Golden Sun & G.S. The Lost Age. I have had one since release, although I do not agree with hand cramps and there are actually some Switch games which have text smaller than that found on the GB Micro... (go figure)

These 7 alone are worth owning this system for if nothing else, and high replayability.

Re: Scalpers Are Already Listing The "Limited" Switch Release Super Mario 3D All-Stars

Gamestop employees did this with Fire Emblem Fates SE, the one and only version with the entire game on it, insisting no such thing existed, the (many various) employees bought it up ( limited editions) sold them on eBay at highly inflated prices. They're still there today for those god awful USD $2-$300 and used now no less. People also hoarded those Fire Emblem S.E. 3ds' L.E. consoles they were nowhere to be found, they're just now becoming reasonable.

Re: 'Anti-RPG' PlayStation Title Moon Arrives On Switch eShop This August

I'm going to say this one more time (/s) for the children that don't get it (those under 25) there's nothing new under the Sun. Anything and everything you have ever done, anything you think you invented, started, created... not...someone older than you, probably your parents, have already done long before you were born, and probably bigger & better than you, they just didn't advertise it, like many do today. Not a day goes by when I don't hear of some supposed scientific discovery that just surfaced but actually, that has already been discovered, years ago, or a game someone raves about; most of us have already been playing like forever... (done that been there...)
I heard people review ClubHouse games and say they had never heard of many of those games... really? some/many nay most have been around hundreds of years! It just serves to illustrate, how in this age of information, just how pigeonholed (read as self-serving) ones' interests and activities can be.
Suggestion, to the public, sometimes try doing something you Don't like or want to do. It's amazing how one grows in knowledge from that activity. If we only do, read and experience what we know and like, we grow slowly if at all. Just an observation...

Re: Feature: Best Nintendo Switch RPGs

I would love to know why gaming companies don't hire professional scriptwriters/authors such as oh I don't know, just look at the top ten in sci-fi writers (Steven King or whoever but sci-fi) and take a pick.. have them write the story, dialog and create to game around that, once the general concept is created of course... I would LOVE to see THAT sell!

Re: Feature: Best Nintendo Switch RPGs

The two most overlooked games in the last three console generations are Alliance Alive Both HD and DS ver. as well as Nostalgia for the DS. The former had great graphics even on the DS version. They both appear generic and are in fact unique as those style games go.

Re: Switch Game Final Sword Removed From Japanese eShop For Using Legend Of Zelda Music

@Creature I have worked in the live entertainment industry, though not in gaming. Many I have worked with produce 80 % live entertainment and 20% back of the room sales products, after the show, I have noticed, the larger the entity, the more likely they are to steal ideas from lesser-known people in the same industry. There is a saying in our work, 'to steal one concept is plagiarism, to steal the entire show is research." They are quite bold about how they go about it too, who would call them out in front of their peers, after all, and-it-works!

MInecraft Dungeons = Minecraft (no building) turns into Diablo, works great IMO. I didn't finish Xenoblade on 3ds but that was due to not being able to find an area: I'm told the map/ navigation was greatly improved on this version. Can't believe XC2 and XC are such different fighting styles. One I adore the other I deplore.
