@DavidHolliss probably becauwse mots people knew about it BEfore release of the 3ds, this should not have been on hold for 2 years, just to have underestimated it this late in the game... That's just poor planning.Could I do better? YES, YES i could.

Would LOVE this for the 3ds... I only wish all other develoeprs felt the same about thier creations, instead of just about the financial end of things.

Wait didn't Reggie way Black or White in the US wouldn't sell?!? I knew he was a liar. (I seldom call anyone that) I don't begrudge them making more money by creating another color, but if people are asking; don't make up some lame incongruent story as to why it wouldn't even be possible, when you're planning on it anyway. PS I would rather have had white but this will do, now how to transfer the T-O-N of DLS from one to the other without taking a month to do it.

@MercifulLemon7 considering the requirements when it was made, most basic computers would easily run it today, heck most watches or phones would too. However if playing a port on the 3ds you could never be sure if you neeeded to find the next clue or if the game was broken, there are no hints here after all. so.. Sorry Myst, pass..

This is what i dont get, Nintendo complains about the revenue thier losing from natural disasters, slow selling WiiU and so forth, and they go and limit thier own sales with region locking, cross-platform limited releases.. where's EarthBound on the 3ds (thier biggest selling unit right now), Where's this new Luigi for the WiiU? I just don't get thier hesitation.

Thier own people said they don't know how to sell the finer points of the system to the public.. that is what is responsible for it's limited sales. I've been watching this console and articles about it for a year and I STILL don't know what seperates this from a Wii. If I (an informed reader) doesnt see the diff, than few others will either. Until they solves THIS deliemma, the weak sales will continue. PS I hope they solve it as I'm sure their vision is good, what-ever it is..

What moron assumes that all 3ds owners want to her about WiiU games (or even own one) After all who ever created this article did intentionally put a 3ds tag on a Pickman article... This was supposed to be reporting not advertising... unless Nintendo Life is a paid review,in which case I have no reason ot be here, because the review would be biased. It's not just this WiiU game but all games NON 3ds, just to artificially inflate the sights content? Just like Earth Bound articles have a 3ds tag when it is clearly NOT on a 3ds.This WAS a good site without the fluff. It's become too aschewed by money to be trusted.

although I have a Ambasador 3ds and an 3ds XL. my favorite systems are the Black and White DSi's, (one of each) oh and a coffee (hate the bronze name) colored DSi XL. I have a pristine GB Micro for my 6 fav GBA games.. I'll never play Ds games on a 3ds ..; looks far too washed out for my taste. ...like my eyes used to see text BEFORE GLASSES.

I have been shouting about the same problem as this regarding the Multiplayer games for DS... once the Servers stop serving, we're screwed. Just try using many of the Muoltiplayer aspects of Dsi games right now and see what you get. NOTHING. and this says nothing of the non compatibility of the friend code nightmare) Those same games purchased NOW, have lowered value [to me] as part of them (the online multiplater) can no longer be used. While companies increase thier multiplayer, they also idecrease YOUR life and use of the game. All those games where you can swap online user created content? Like Mario VS DOnkey Kong? Wario Ware DIY, most already useless. But let someone buy just 1 R4 card...and all hell breaks lose.... It's ok for them, but ot for US? (PS I do NOT support piracy.

After I've played through them all, I erase them, and they're good for another play through as they area easily forgotten by me. I got all 3 US retail releases, Picross DS, Picross 3d and Color Cross which was made by another company but good just the same. This game was highly responsible for me being so active a user and buyer of DSi games.

ve been reading about the WiiU for a year now, daily, and I still don't understand how it is different from the Wii. Now If I, an avid reader can't easily understand the differences they've got thier work cut out for them. Besides, ANY PRODUCT in retail has only seconds for the first impression to sell it, it is basic business 101...the WiiU has lost those seconds already. PS I hope the best for it though...

every internet phone user ie Roadrunner, Comcast, Time Warner Cable etc,... uses the tech. N already uses it in games like Heroes of Ruin, why not a full app that did the same. Heck Advance Wars DSi used it as well as several other games...

I'd settle for ANY OF THEM making it to the 3ds, which it probably won't. Why offer it on the console with the lowest sales numbers? Do they think 100000, people will buy a Wii U for Earthbound? It's good but not THAT good. Seems a bit short sighted to me, but then again, this IS Nintendo we're talking about. It won't sell 'cause very few have WiiU then they'll say no one in the west wanted it.. That's their backward thinking. The same a sdone with the 3ds colors...

Most quick--to-mouth-off Jonnies don't realize that flash cards [of various types] were around BEFORE the Ds was even invented. They were not invented FOR the DS. @Vava no sharing of levels sadly. also only online is leaderboards... At the very least there should have been a method for exchanging created tracks through QR codes or something like that.

just bought this... I LOVE this game... fun as all get up and 30 save spots for tracks YOU build, each track handles 200 items (jumps and such) sadly no track exchange, though online leader boards are presentt though

I've been contemplating this since my last Advance Wars Days of Ruin... this is why I'm not keen on so many gammes today being multiplayer-centric. They lose a good protion of thier value once the servers are shut down.Local Multiplayer is the only cavet there. In years gone by people played thier old GBA NES< and SNES games because the cartiges were available, but what will happen now that there are no cartriges? Newer replacement 3ds's (once they stop production) and such will not be able to play, what isn't available to Download, nostalgia (and the momentum it creates) comes to a grinding halt. Bad for players AND manufacturers.

I enjoyed the Classic Books Collection for the DS(i) and would buy an improved version IF they can convince me that it had been optimised for the 3ds screen. Trying to read the text in things like Monster Hunter 3 (on a 3ds XL) wanted to make my eyes roll back into my head permanantly it hurts so bad

@TheAdza most people don't buy two copies of games.." I know you said most but you should included dedicated people.. I bought two copies of each advance wars, and Civilization Revolution, to play with other people who didn't own a copy.

I recently just bought this game. 6-17-13, If you are on the fence about it, don't be, it's fantastic, and fun. Get it you wont regret it. Oh, and it's not as short as most would have you believe. The replayability is there I hope N offeres different maps for this, I get to experience more of this awesomeness then.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Sid Meiers, he IS the most celebrated, decorated and awarded individual in gaming and in history( by his peers in the industry) to date, by far, also according to the Guiness Records. .If Sid said it or thought it, there's very likely something to it. I suspect the accurate assesment is somwewhere mid point between Miyamoto and Meiers [closer to Meiers..]. Hey, they should start thier own Development studio... M&M Studios ... @Epicnessofme99 I feel part of the trouble is they keep depending on the same few IPs to carry them when the consumer is pleading for many of the distant older ones to be refreshed. We're not always wanting new but different, is the spice of [life] gaming.

giving him that, let's consider (t)his logic... If $50. is too mcuh for a piece of plastic, that what's the suggested retail price/value for nothing (his tangible offer IS nothing...)

I'm, not saying the devs time is worthless, nay in fact its valuable, but price can't be assessed by the tangible makeup of something (anything), the word is "PERCIEVED VALUE" something Nintendo has in spades...and mini games have little of. That is why thier life (over the long haul) will be short. I hope they stay but I'm not betting on it...

I've always complained few of these developers use pro story writers, with Atlus, that has never been a problem the story is usually as good if not better than the game play. Atlus and SMT are in my top 5 MUST BUY games & Series. Now being a Fire Emblem Addict (avoiding recovery) I MAY need a WiiU. I wasn't interested before but now I'm getting it.

@Retro_on_theGo expecting sales without promotion is insane. How do these companies expect to expand without letting people know what they sell and where? Do they expect people to seek out what they don't even know exists?

I wanted this, it amazes me how many companies disregard promotion of any kind in an area where people aren't aware of the product. That's akin to selling something no one knows you have for sale! Promote it, they will buy. The east has a strange philosophy about [not] educating thier consumers.

These young men sound as though they know more than they are giving themselves credit for. I suspect they will go far. They appear realistic about thier responsibility for thier results. I for one am sold on the game, and hope they keep up thier steam world, a style/world which is so little tapped in the gaming world. Besides the actualy game they appear to be using thier heads and learning from thier experiences, something far too many developers have not got the hang of. I agree with the mixing of genres, in fact those are the types I seek first for purchase...There are no mistakes in business if you know how to examine the results from your actions and take responsibility for your part. So few business' realize that responsibility means taking control of thier future. Best of Success to you Image&Form.
