One of the more admittedly colourful games shown during the PC Gaming Show today was the turn-based strategy game Fae Tactics - published by Humble Bundle and developed by Endlessfluff Games.
Although the focus was on the PC release (arriving this summer), we're here to remind any fans of this type of game that it'll also be coming to the Nintendo Switch at a later date. Here's an update on how the Switch port is going:
Switch Port!…and all of the required optimization for it! It’s been a loooong time but all the optimization has made a tremendous improvement. Even the graphics have improved because some graphics were replaced with shaders and well, shaders are very pretty. They are light and fluffy
And here's the latest "summer 2020" announcement trailer along with a bit about the gameplay:
In Fae Tactics, follow a young magic-user named Peony on her journey across a vibrant world full of mystery and danger. Summon allies, cast spells, and befriend a motley crew of characters as you dive into the growing conflicts between man and magical beings known as fae.

Looks like it's right up my alley. Price and gamelength will be decision-factors.
@Bankaj Agreed. Have you played Fell Seal? It's a brilliant tactics game (and currently on sale)
I had strong Final Fantasy Tactics Advance feelings while watching the video. Chances for a spiritual successor like - let's say - Wargroove/Tiny Metal to Advance Wars?
A man can dream...
I enjoy Final Fantasy Tactics Advance so much so I may check this one out as well.
This trailer is a lot better than the last one. Now, is really a good option, if the price dont be too much. Keeping a eye in this one.
This looks wonderful. I shall buy it so it can sit on my shelf and never be played... because of backlog.
@Xylnox The way I am going, the next Nintendo or whatever console should just be named Backlog.
Getting massive Final Fantasy Tactics vibes from this. Plus absolutely gorgeous pixel art. Count me in, big time.
Love games like this, I also love the Ff tactics series as well as things like Advance wars so looking forward to this!
@MysteryCupofJoe Ya, I know what you mean. I have soo many games to play still that I think I am set for the rest of my life. Hehe
I wish I had the patience for turn based. One of these days I will. I used to love pokemon back in the day.
Looks like Brownie Brown's art; Magical Vacation & Children of Mana[ds] ( I believe) gba & DS... I'll pick it up as long as the price isn't gouging.
I read that it's supposed to be a "menuless" tactics game, which seems contradictory. I'm intrigued. The art looks nice, too.
Everything clicks. I must play this
