Altitude's documentary on the hugely popular N64 shooter GoldenEye 007 — GoldenEra — is now available on Altitude.Film!
The documentary was created with the help of filmmaker Drew Roller and coincides with the game's 25th anniversary. That's 25 years of Oddjob multiplayer, Big Head mode, and some frankly awesome nights with friends. There's a reason people still call this N64 gem one of the best licensed video games of all time, and this documentary examines that legacy.
The team was given exclusive access to many of the people who worked on the game, and it will look at not only the impact of the game but the history behind its development. The game has gone on to influence Half-Life, Call of Duty, Halo, TimeSplitters, and even stealth games like Splinter Cell! Fans of this shooter will not want to miss this fantastic-sounding film.
Here's the trailer again for those who haven't seen it. And if you're going to be watching the documentary, let us know down in the comments!

If only there was a platform for a third party partner of Nintendo to announce a port/remaster of this classic...
@JohnnyC Lol I was just about to say that. If theres an anouncement in the partner direct the timing would be just perfect!
Arg, I thought when I saw the thumbnail there was a Goldeneye 007 announcement, lol. Microsoft after all owns it and technically it's a 3rd party.
@JohnnyC It's possible that they know something we don't, and released this to coincide with that.
Watching it right now on my Nintendo Switch. Google Movies can be watched on YouTube.
@5th313ment Microsoft doesn't own it, the license still belongs to MGM. Nintendo still owns the original code, the only thing Microsoft own are the devs who once made the game such as Rare and Activision but all the people who originally made the game already left those companies a long time ago.
Does anyone know if/when this will be available to view in the US?
I really was expecting an announcement on the Direct for the actual game. I don’t understand why it hasn’t been released already.
Voiced by the lovely Ben Potter off PushSquare’s podcast!
