Re: Rumour: Insider Says N64 Is Coming To Switch Online, Believes It Will Introduce A "Higher-Priced" Subscription Tier

Subtle24

Asking us to pay more while they still havn't put out things people have been asking for for YEARS (Earthbound, Mario RPG...), things which were already released on Virtual Console... what a joke. Yeah, sure, I'd love to pay more to only have access to 80% of the first party library. Plus the problem you will always have with the N64 is that half of it's best games were made by Rare...

Sort out what you have rather than failing in other areas.

Re: Unofficial amiibo Handbook Smashes Kickstarter Goal

Subtle24

@Ogbert The book will be up to date as of time of publishing. In August, then even if Fighters Pass 2 amiibo or anything else are announced, they won't be released, so they won't be included.

So the book should end with all the Fighters Pass 1 amiibo, and all the Monster Hunter Rise amiibo. A good place to stop if you ask me. Would rather that than stop half way through Fighter's Pass 2. And even though the amiibo line is dying off, who is to say when it will end? It might get strung out another decade...!

As for the amiibo cards, yeah he initially said he wasn't including them, but I asked if he would do a gallery of them all as a stretch goal and he said he would so get backing y'all!

Re: Video: 13 Great Wii U Games Still Not on Switch

Subtle24

My stance on ports, as someone who bought a Wii U, and bought all of these games once already, is that if people wanted to play these games maybe they should have bought a Wii U when it was current.

I'm not saying the Wii U wasn't without issue but if you buy a console for specs instead of library then you reap what you sow. The library was clearly good, because half of them have been ported already and this article proves there are plenty more which are of interest.

As someone who has been buying and playing Nintendo consoles for over 20 years, it frustrates me that those who opted out don't have to stand by their choice, and my FOMO gets exploited and I get to pay twice for a few extra levels or features, and even then only if I'm lucky.

That said, that's just one very focused annoyance for me. Many more frustrations that are finally getting on top of me come down to Nintendo's contempt for their customers, both loyal and new.

Re: Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Fighter amiibo Finally Revealed, First Figures Arrive This Fall

Subtle24

@SwitchForce Dying based on that they have released fewer and fewer new models each year and that fewer new games have support for them.

The DLC fighters will be hard to get hold of (Switch Online exclusives?), there will be no alternates, and I'd be very surprised if we had any more than 11 new amiibo to look forward to ever again. Maybe the odd one-off, like Link's Awakening Link. But probably not even that. They'll complete the set, begrudgingly, and that'll be that.

Mark my words.

Re: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey Is One Of The Worst-Selling Mario Games To Date

Subtle24

The only interest I had in this game was for the Mario series Bowser Jr. amiibo I am utterly convinced is the entire reason this game exists.

If they hadn't cancelled the amiibo I would have bought both the game and the figure.

As it stands, I'll stick to the DS version that still works just fine on my 3DS thanks.

(I have no facts on which to base any of this. Im still certain this all happened though.)

Re: New Website For Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story On 3DS Reveals Multiple Gameplay Videos

Subtle24

@Toads-Friend I thought I was the only one.

It made total sense: only one to appear in Star Rush without a physical analogue; the previous Mario & Luigi port saw the minion amiibo to go with the mode; Inside Story already being playable on a 3DS...

I was certain the Bowser Jr mode going hand in hand with a Bowser Jr amiibo was the only reason the existance of this port made any sense at all, and that it all-but confirmed the amiibo!
