If even .5% of the people.who would have bought this game new buy used instead, the point will be made and Nintendo/Platinum will have lost far more than the cost of a decent offer for a returning voice lead. Guess who cancelled their pre-order to buy used?
@Nerdling I LOVE loved the earlier games but my hype has been killed as well. We need a gameplay trailer at E3 or a Direct as an "update" and not another tweet that things are "going well". So well that the game has been in development for 5 years with nothing to show for it.
@talocaca I will say that 2021 is off to a good start. In the first 4 months we have:
Mario 3D World + Bowsers Fury (substantial new content)
Bravely Default 2
Monster Hunter Rise
New Pokemon Snap
With the third party support, only one of those games is really taking up Nintendo's resources. Even if you only factor for maybe 3-4 first party releases in 2021, you still have a pretty nice release schedule with things like SMT V, MH Stories 2 and Ys IX sliding in from third parties.
If we could go ahead and get a localization for Yokai Watch 4 that would be appreciated.
@InkyKiddy Hang in there. It's an excellent franchise. Keep in mind this one is still a Wii game at it's core. If you like this one, definitely move on to XCX, XC2, and even Torna (great expansion with one annoying flaw).
@SNES64DD "Personally, I would like to see a successful Nintendo console akin to the N64 and GameCube days but with SNES to Wii like sales and PlayStation doing portables like they did in 2005."
A little disappointing that Monolithsoft aren't pushing the Switch in the same way that they pushed the Wii and Wii U previously. I wonder if they are spread too thin between multiple projects and supporting BotW/BotW2
@Zyph I'd be fine paying any extra $10 for a large cart, if it meant we could get something like RE:Revelations 1&2 on a single cartridge - no download needed.
With all these ports, I'm wondering how many of these WiiU games will still be exclusive in a year: https://youtu.be/6SUglODVdXw We've already had so many ported!
I was hoping for 1080p, or at least 900p with 60fps lock. I've been a little disappointed by the perfromance bump for the Switch. Here's a video I did about getting a better look out of (720p Docked) Xenoblade 2: https://youtu.be/IWaORkp1t4Q
This will give me another reason to jump on "Breath of the Wild" this weekend. I'm finishing up with what I want to play of "Odyssey" right now. A third run of "Skyrim" will start next week, before "Xenoblade 2" launches.
@Spoony_Tech I loved "Tropical Freeze", but I agree. I was actually hoping Nintendo was talking about Retro when they said to expect more than just traditional IP in 2018.
Nintendo needs a variation of the Pro Controller with analogue triggers. There's just no excuse. Gamecube had them and certain VC games will be unplayable unless they remedy that.
Any way you shake this, it's not the opening I was hoping for. Kinda shocked to learn that the Switch has only sold 300,000 units in the UK. How many times can they buy GTAV?
Also, how the hell is 1-2 Switch still charting, when Arms dropped off of the list in less than a month? Poor form.
@kobashi100 $65 would be fine for a large game. Even $75 would be okay for a huge game that needed a 64GB cart. I was fully on board with the costly N64 carts back in the day.
That being said, a basketball game that takes up more space than a massive open world RPG speaks volumes. That's indicative of laziness.
If L.A. Noir is entirely on a cart, I will be happy paying the extra $10 for the Switch version.
Diagonal presses can create some issues on BOTW with the Pro controller. This seems like a good, cheap solution for some games. The loss of gyro is disappointing.
I'm happy to hear they're taking their time. I passed on PS4 since my Switch version was already ordered and I want the same experience. Thank you, Tequila works.

@HammerGalladeBro yes.

Wow. This is pretty cool.

@Emperor-Palpsy That seems to be the only true part
Re: How Well Do You Know Nintendo Hardware?
8/10 because I couldn't be bothered to look at my Switch Pro controller. I will slink away in shame now.
Re: Video: Digital Foundry Delivers Its Verdict On Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
@RavenFellBlade The hacking community is hard at work making this happen. Your bated breath might not have to wait for too long.

Re: Poll: Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?
Spent all of yesterday spamming the refresh button on UPS
It finally arrived when I was out of the house, of course. Put 5 hours in and will definitely do at least 30 this weekend.

I couldn't agree more. Those were truly the days

@Alber-san Yoshi is all but confirmed for June.
Re: Steep Release Could Be Imminent As Copies Go On Sale Via Dutch Retailer
If it's good, I'll give it a whirl! I want to thank Ubisoft for their support and the excellent M+R: Kingdom Battle.
After that WWE "sneak release", I'll be reading reviews first haha.
Re: Nintendo Is Announcing "A New Way To Play" Later Today
Some have suggested "Starlink" fits this pretty well, and we're supposed to hear new things from Ubisoft.
Re: Sorry Netflix Fans, You Won't Be Watching Stranger Things On Your Switch Anytime Soon
That's alright, I deleted Hulu already. Thought I would use it more. Whenever the Switch powers on - it's game time!
I have many other devices with streaming services.

Nintendo is reaching their widest demographic since the SNES.

Re: Super Mario Odyssey Holds Its Own In The UK Software Charts
@Ziggy93 I'm just hoping EA doesn't use this game's performance as an excuse to duck out.
@Indielink It's already done LTD numbers of the previous "Chronicles" games in Japan.
Seems to be doing decent business in the US as well.

I'd just be happy with HD Resident Evil ports other consoles got last year. RE0 is featured in a new video I just posted: https://youtu.be/GpDStomMvYw
Re: Don't Hold Your Breath For Monster Hunter: World On Switch
I still don't see a "World" (pun intended) where Capcom doesn't make the cash grab of having a port of this out by next Christmas...

Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Analysis Points To Switch Sonic Forces Being The Worst Version
Sorry "Sonic". Reviews are looking pretty lukewarm anyhow.
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 to Get Japanese Voiceover Option in Free Launch DLC
I hope this sells by the boat load! Xenoblade X was one of my Top 12 on the Wii U: https://youtu.be/6SUglODVdXw
For me, year-out DLC means more content for an already complete game.

The Switch is really rocking it! Hopefully, Ninty will be able to drop the price in regions where it costs way more that 300 USD.

I'll stick to my fatty SNES with HD Retrovision cables:

I am going to eat up these arcade classics on Switch, though.

I don't have any of those titles, but I do have Fast RMX and Thumper on the indie side. Wargroove and Shakedown: Hawaii are on my list as well.
