But dang, do I wanna spend $40 on it? I'd probably only play it once, with my brother (a fellow Zelda fan, and the only one I know that would even remotely be willing to play Zelda Monopoly with me lol)

I guess this won't sit well with a lot of Zelda fans. They seem to lack friends to play with locally, and/or lack the ability to find new friends who live close by.

@XFsWorld Re-introduce them to family game night. No Gamer should go without some old fashioned gaming in their lifetime. Plus it's good for the family, you're sitting around a table face to face and interacting. You have to put away the cellphones.

@R-L-A-George Yeah, I actually miss those days, playing Monopoly, Uno, Kuuduk, Checkers, etc. But that won't ever happen again I think. Playing Spades didn't due tho lol.

My family and friends love Monopoly. We've bought so many different Monopoly variations: Original, 50th Anniversary, Vegas, Shrek, Jr, Disney, World, Cities, Canada, The Walking Dead. Heck, I just bought Monopoly Empire last week!
So, it's no doubt I'm going to buy this on day 1.

Kinda cool but the main picture on the board looks a wee bit hodgepodged to me. I'm sure they could have done something that looked a bit more apt than just picking some random image of link from an instruction manual or whatever, along with the more rendered looking Zelda Logo, and slapping it on the centre of the board.

Leave it to Gamestop to have exclusives for a board game.

@Kyloctopus Ganon thought he could fool Link and Zelda by winning the triforce in a game of Monopoly, but fail terribly. Ended up sealed into the board game itself.

I actually have needed a new monopoly to play for a while now and this is perfect, going to be picking this up if they still have them in stock when they come out.

Monopoly is a terrible game. A Zelda themed Settlers of Catan would be cool.

Our family still plays Monopoly from time to time and it's the same price as normal Monopoly here so I'd gladly buy it if it wasn't for paying 20€ more to get it shipped in Finland making it 50€ ($65). But even for that price it may still end up in my shelf. Have to think this through.

They better have this Gamestop exclusive version somewhere else in Europe as well. It's really painful to see all those exclusive goodies, editions,... And never be able to get one for a reasonable price in the rest of Europe.

@BigH88 I'm a big fan of boardgames. I love playing them. I played Monopoly a lot when I was younger, but it always takes about an hour too long and someone decides to quit. Plus, when a player loses, the game can still go on for hours, leaving that person to watch Monopoly, the only thing worse than playing. One of my brothers is always defending the game, but I despise it. Definitely one of my most disliked games. But if you like it, more power to you! The Zelda version does look nice.

Glad to see you say that, makes me feel better thinking I wanted it right away, but for $25. It's a $15 board game, that would still be a $10 mark-up for licensing. My kid paid $15 for Mario chess on clearance at Target and that has lots of of cool pre-amiibo figures.

I wish they would do this with other board games besides Monopoly. I already have 3 editions of Monopoly (Basic, ESPN, Nintendo). I don't need a 4th. Link could have been a good clone for like Risk, only with a different board layout.

I do like how you buy the places and not the people, there are some iterations of monopoly where you buy the people which makes no sense

I really hope this comes to Canada. You can pre-order it off of the American gamestop website but on the Canadian one... it is no where to be found.

@BigH88 It's just too much money to spend on a thing that will sit on my shelf. I would definitely want it if I had people to play with, but nah. My friends aren't into Zelda. My limited money is best put towards other things that I really want and can use. I'd love to collect stuff like this if I were rich, though. Maybe someday, eh?

Also, if the Ocarina is a GameStop exclusive piece, and Monopoly is 2-6 players, what does the 6th player use if you buy it somewhere else? Ridiculous.

After the problems I had with the Wind Waker special edition being a GS exclusive, I really wish Nintendo would stop dealing with them only. Bad for business and consumer relations IMO.

I'm getting this for my grown "kid" for her birthday as I bought what seemed like a million different Zelda games, for all her gadgets, throughout the years. The worst thing that could happen is she hates it and sells it off and makes a bit of a profit. So, for me, it's a win-win situation.
