Thank goodness the Nintendo Store have the digital pre-order. I was beginning to get jealous of all of the physical bonuses, but prefer the convenience of digital.

The 3D often made up for the 3DS's tiny resolution. Honestly, I can't imagine ever turning the 3D slider down. That extra sense of depth was extremely helpful in a lot of games like Pullblox, 3D Land and A Link Between Worlds, besides looking lovely.

As annoying as the staggered release is, I think it was probably for the best that they used Apple's press conference to advertise it. A lot more people will blindly buy from Apple than they will from Nintendo. Still, I'm glad I can finally get my hands on it.

I'm so glad they've done this. I'd backed it for the Wii U version before the NX was even mentioned, but was getting worried that I'd have to keep using my Wii U after the Switch was announced. Definitely changing my Kickstarter pledge to the Switch version.

I know Nintendo like their prices to be accessible, but this seems way too good to be true. They said that they aren't going to sell it at a loss, yet the original 3DS was more expensive at launch, at about £230, with its lower specs.

Yes! Even if the main concepts had already been leaked, I was still amazed! Console quality games on a handheld! Zelda! Skyrim! Wii U games! It looks so seamless! I want it now, not March!

Thank goodness for this. Whenever people ask the what order they should play the games and what to play them on, AJ is always the one that causes problems. The options are either to track down the physical DS game or to... (emulate it).

I managed to go during the weekend and Yooka Laylee was great! The lack of Nintendo presence was slightly disappointing, but this game made up for that. I'd definitely say it was my highlight of the event.

I had the chance to play Yooka Laylee at EGX yesterday and it was brilliant. Shovel Knight only sweetens the deal further.

They aren't including Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright? I know it's only half Ace Attorney, but it's still a brilliant game made by the series creator.

Galaxy was the last fresh feeling Mario game, and that was nearly 10 years ago. Mario Run is still using the New theme. I hope the NX Mario brings something new. (Still though, I would never say no to Galaxy 3)

As a kid, I never felt the need to use headphones with my GBA SP, but now I can't imagine playing on my 3DS without headphones, in public or even at home. I suppose whether you can survive without a headphone jack really depends on the user. (And a Bluetooth headphone's sound quality is generally worse than that of a wired one, so I couldn't imagine making the switch to a jackless phone)

I do wonder if it's coming to Android Wear as well, as Google-owned Niantic's previous game Ingress worked with it.

I guess I'm going to be blowing a few quid trying to get the cards of the villagers that have inevitably moved away since I last touched the game.

My immediate thought when I saw this was 'you could probably turn this into a Street Fighter style fight pad', so there's definitely a use for this sort of thing.

I downloaded this onto my watch and it's working perfectly. It's definitely negated the three step problem, and it's nice to be notified when uncommon Pokémon are nearby.

I've been been putting off going back to my ACNL village for months because I don't think I could face all my villagers having moved away. Now this update solves the problem of lost villagers and gives me a reason to stay invested for a little while longer. Thanks Nintendo!

I've only just started playing, since until the last update, the most recent Android version couldn't play GO. But still, I'm not to surprised that the game is pretty active in the UK despite it not being officially released here.

@CrazedCavalier I would agree, but it's not nearly as bad as the whole MN9 thing.

I really hope the NX is backwards compatible, or they decide to make an NX version. I plan to jump the Wii U ship as soon as possible. I already backed them on Kickstarter, but if it's as good as it's shaping up to be I'd pay again for an NX edition!

Just posting a counter-viewpoint to all the moaning. As a longtime fan of Fire Emblem, I have absolutely no problem with the censorship. To me, the dating sim aspect represents just part of the watering down that the series has gone through to gain a wider audience, alongside removing mechanics like durability and weight. While I'm happy that more people are getting to know the series and that it's not going to die from lack of sales, losing something that I never expected from the game in the first place doesn't bother me at all.

I don't know how, but somehow I just knew who the first new character would be before they magnificently appeared.

They would have just had it so that the Japan segments of the game are actually set in a village of Japanese immigrants, and Phoenix's ancestor is 100% pure 'Murican.

Jokes aside, it is pretty sad that we won't get the game. From what I've seen, it looks way better than DD.

I've just realised Rowlet looks just like Blathers from Animal Crossing. The resemblance is uncanny, especially the green bowtie.

If the cousin is named after a plant, does that mean he's the professor? Anyway, the game looks gorgeous! I'm glad they're increasing the realism in this!

The legendaries are blatantly going into Digimon territory now, design-wise. I think I like the moon one better. And Rowlet looks adorable!

This bundle has been brilliant! I can't believe I missed Rhythm Thief when it was released, I'm now halfway through it and adore it now.

I wonder how the discount for Fates would work, would it only apply to the first version of the game you buy? If not, I'd be tempted to use the discount and save those few measly pennies.

It's not really better, because LOZ:ALBW is part of Nintendo Selects, at £15.99 in the UK, so only £3.20 off. I mean, I guess the game is still cheaper in the end, but the My Nintendo discount is worse.

I have a RasPi lying around. I wonder how hard this is, it sounds like a fun project.

I'm a bit disappointed Frank didn't throw his wig in this one. I was waiting all episode for that. Still, I got pretty excited when Objection! 2001 started playing.

I actually believed the headline, but as soon as it mentioned Hyrule Warriors Legends I realised what was going on.

Honestly, I'm a bit relieved. That screen around the sticks seemed way too impractical.

The fact that you join a team and contest a real life location makes it seem a lot like their previous game, Ingress. Which is not a complaint, because Ingress is great!

I immediately noticed that as well. After a bit of looking around, that doesn't to be a misprint on NL's side. I'd love DS games on the 3DS.
