Hello, and welcome to another edition of Box Art Brawl!

Last week, we checked out WarioWare Smooth Moves for the Wii, and it really just boiled down to which colour to happen to prefer. In the end, Europe's yellow cover won with 52% of the vote. North America's pink design came second with 32%, and Japan's orange design trailed at 16%.

This week, to celebrate the addition of SimCity to Nintendo Music, we thought we'd check out the pioneer of the simulation franchise on SNES. It's a good ol' duel this week, as the western design for this one is exactly the same in all regions. Japan, however..? Yeah, it's quite different.

The western design for SimCity is pretty iconic at this point, utilising building rooftops to spell out the game's title. Simple, but effective! The use of colour in the text kinda looks like a sunset too, and we're always up for a good sunset, y'know.

Overall, a great design!

Sorry, is this SimCity or Fallout? This looks very retro, and not in the usual '80s pixel art kinda way. We're talking proper retro, and it actually looks pretty awesome. We can see what looks to be a machine of sorts being used to build a city, which we can see in the small screen being ravaged by a tornado.

There's lots of little knobs and dials to control stuff like disasters, population, and budget, and it's just a really cool take on the game's overall premise. We like it.

Which region got the best SimCity box art?

Thank you for voting! We'll see you next week for another edition of Box Art Brawl!
