That seems to have come out of nowhere. I liked the game, so I'll probably pick it up again.

People will always say that the new games are terrible and the games that they grew up with or played the most are the ones that are the best. Just look at Genwunners, it's nothing new. In a few years time there will be people who think that their current generation is the worst one and Gen VI is the best.

I'm really happy that Heartgold and Soulsilver were the most voted for games. Beyond the brilliant post-game, I think it's the most polished of all of the games. The ability to have any Pokémon follow you just made the game just feel so much better, as if it's a proper adventure with you and your 'Mons, and they aren't just subservient slaves. Calling people on the Pokégear was a nice touch. And the things that made the game all the more convenient, like auto-run running shoes, berry pots, having the maps on the Pokégear. On top of that, there's that warm, sunny feeling, that could makes me feel nostalgic for the game.

I'm really happy to see Heartgold/Soulsilver get all this love. It's the most complete and polished pair of games in the series, in my opinion.

I kinda wonder if they'll mess with our expectations and do another B/W2 or something else that isn't Z.

I adore the juxtaposition of the stereotypically cute Pikachu with that manly voice. It's kinda reminding me of the movie Ted.

I'll be honest, every time I see a headline about some part of a game being removed or altered, I just shrug. I'm still buying it, regardless of whether I get to play Fire Emblem-Amie (Fire Emblemtendogs?) or not.

@Protocol_Penguin I'm not sure that they would replace dedicated handhelds with smartphones. Historically, each generation's handheld has greatly outsold their own home consoles. Even in the age of smart devices, a parent is more likely to buy their kid a cheaper, portable console. And anyway, Nintendo would never be able to permanently stay at the top of the charts. All the big mobile games of a couple of years ago have been forgotten about and replaced with new trends. Also, if the 3DS's F2P titles are any indication, they would never be able to go full out money-drainer, like King and Supercell. Which is probably for the best.

I'm still not sure about the intricacies of the expandable storage on the Wii U, but I imagine I could use the USB to store XCX's data packs.

Before the Direct I had tried to convince myself to stop buying DLC, as the prices do stack up, but dammit, I need Cloud.

Why isn't that 13 seconds of Zelda U mentioned? That was my highlight of the direct!

@OveDue I kinda hope so, to be honest. But I've learned to expect little and be pleasantly surprised when a good announcement does actually pop up.

The easiest way to spot a fake leak is to see if it relies too much on previously revealed/released games, as well as the kind of reveals that fans dream of. I mean, as much as I'm dying for a new F-Zero, they aren't going to rerelease X on the 3DS.

That was quite a story. I didn't think things like this happened in real life, but then perhaps my life is just really boring.

I'm okay waiting for My Nintendo, but I'm slightly irked that they had to tie Flipnote Studio's release with it (in the UK at least).

My bet is that it's Zygarde. If Xerneas represents the creation of life, and Yveltal the destuction of it, then it would make sense that Zygarde represents the passage from infancy (the mysterious new Pokémon) to old age (Zygarde as we know it).

It's quite odd to think of a legend like Mr Spector reacting like that when he met Mr Miyamoto. I mean, I suppose any fanboy would be in awe of him, but it seems one of gaming's most influential figures is too.

Honestly, I fear Capcom will pull an Ace Attorney Investigations 2 on us and not localise it at all. Which would suck, because I /need/ this game.
