It looks like they'd have to do a lot of additional work to get the game to handle being at 60FPS, as the core original game animations and engine were designed to run at 30 fps.
@sillygostly This is content that was worked on after the game was finished up. The third story part has been known about for a while and Nintendo seems to want to keep parity with Japan's schedule also 11 maps for $18 is much better than what Fire Emblem Awakening map cost was. And if it is like Awakening's DLC you can replay it as much as you want to.
@andrew20 I would and seeing how others are able to work in a real time clock into the game I am sure Nintendo can have a real time clock for the game as well.
I think a big thing people are missing I'd that Nintendo came out and said the Zelda fighter Amiibo works be supported in the game. People also might forget people were screaming over the lack of a skull kid Amiibo figure with Majora's Mask 3D. If I remember correctly Anouma wanted to add in Amiibo functionality to MM3D, bit couldn't think of a way to do it. This is another case of d if you do and d if you don't.
@Morpheel The two routes to Fuchsia city are how they appear in HG/SS. The windmills weren't in the FR/LG version same as Bill's cape with the elevation.
@dadajo If I remember correctly it was Hasbro/Wizards of the Coast as the troll face was directly inspired/taken from the DnD depictions of trolls in the Monster Manuals.
@TheWPCTraveler it is an SD card that uses 3D storage like on the newer SSD. I wish they could have 3D memory tech in portable storage media used in phones and other devices.
After getting my New 3DS, I loved it. It was a great system and I think Nintendo did a good job with the system. When the regular 3DS came out it was more powerful graphically than say the iPhone 4/3GS was and compared to game that were on the iPhone, the games were a bit prettier. The hardware was closer but with how quick tech was and is advancing the 3DS became quickly outpaced.
I am happy to see Splatoon at 4th, and still going strong. It looks like people are happy to see a new IP from Nintendo. Though I think doing a follow-up game to Ice Climbers would be awesome.
Actually with the packs included with the game, it is fairly priced, as those six packs usually cost $2 a piece. So if they are included then that is nice. Maybe Steve will be a character in smash. I would love to see the ability to play the game on the tablet and the other person being on the TV.
Well the suggestion of getting the drive cloned and then drilling into it from there would get around the DRM. I am unsure why Nintendo gave us a Flimsy USB drive, and by flimsy I mean the connector. The actual drive feels solid.
@Uzuki Thank you for mentioning that to everyone. The game looks great, the news is bad but I think if Xenoblade was running at a solid 60, then we could have a point. The system is powerful but sadly not powerful enough. This generation of gaming has been underpowered in general. Nintendo wanted to make a system that was powerful and power efficient. Some sacrifices had to be made, though I am sure Nintendo can make a PS4 like system with similar power consumption to the WiiU.
@AlexSora89 In regards to the Bethseda situation, Sony kind of screwed up their architecture in regards to their RAM set up and Bethseda wasn't the only ones to say they had trouble with it. Bethseda's engine is designed for a lot of backend processing, something the PS3 wasn't the best at.
I prefer the wacky translations. Splatoon is boring without the rampant puns. Only commies and Europeans don't like humor it seems in a light hearted game.
Don't tell me they are going to reinvent Bethseda's Radiant quest system. Where instead of sending you to one bandit camp it sends you to a draugur ruin.
The biggest problem is 60% of the non-Nintendo is licensed games that Nintendo can't do anything about. I am surprised more Namco Bandai games aren't showing on the eshop. Pokémon is the only real thing left for the VC and GameFreak doesn't want to else the old versions of the games. As much trouble as they would be to get linking to work right. As far as I know Gameboy non advanced linking still causes emulator makers trouble.
@PlywoodStick Oh I know, when you have Disney completely replace their IT with people with VISAs who's existence, job and ability to work, is at the whim of Disney, I could see a publisher at least dip their toe in to see if they might get more returns. When you have awesome studios like High Moon now being support for Destiny, the situation gets worse in my opinion. It is just sickening and this VA strike is a symptom of a bloated industry.
In all honesty of the unionizing of devs will just have some publishers move their studious to India where you can get cheap programmers. For much less than the current people are being paid. It is rather disgusting but it looks like the video game industry is rest for another crash.
@rjejr Well they were thinking of making it into an Amiibo but it was mentioned it would've been difficult to integrate the functionality into an existing game. Also Skull kid and Link and two different people especially in Majora's mask.. If Link has any similarities to anyone it is Kafei
One dubious thing that sucks out is that the union doesn't want devs to do voices unless they register with the union as part of their proposal. Devs don't get residuals, the publishers usually get it.
Hopefully they made next episode transitions part of this update as well, it was something severely lacking. Having to select the next episode manual was just as cumbersome. Also I think today is a general update Netflix day as there was an update for Windows modern app as well as Windows phone.
@Ryu_Niiyama I didn't notice the release date until I saw it on another site as it wasn't listed on the original article here. It has been a little while since I have heard much of anything about Xenoblade Chronicles X. I probably remember hearing the date but forgot. As a note if Fallout 4 comes to the NX I will more than gladly triple dip into Fallout 4.
I'm think the NX is set of systems, ala Steam Box. Nintendo releases their own which is fully upgradable, but EA might release their own version of the NX for their games with Origin running on it but Nintendo's Network and eShop are used so you could play Nintendo games on the EA version of the system.
