Re: Street Fighter Legend Ryu And Fire Emblem's Roy Found In Super Smash Bros. Patch Code

ShoryukenKid

Interesting how the fighting game community including Street Fighter fans and competitive Smash players are pretty much embracing Ryu, while Nintendo fans have mixed to negative reactions. I must admit that Ryu feels out of place, but I'm definatly not disappointed that he's included ! The only thing that disappoints me is that some fools jumped at the chance to leak the info that was gonna be huge news for tomorrow's reveal oh well, will still watch and I'm still hyped

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Gets a Wii U Stretch Goal

ShoryukenKid

Was gonna back this up regardless but now that the Wii U version is considered I will be picking it up for Wii U if it holds up to the other consoles (which we won't know till its out.....). I'm having visions of the Castles map on the game pad rather than going back and forth from the game to the menus and it's enough to sell me on the Wii U version I just hope it's not watered down in anyway.....

Re: Parent Trap: Splatoon Is The Perfect Family Firepower-Fest

ShoryukenKid

Well let our voices be heard. While Nintendo can be really hard headed they also want to please their fans. Fatal Frame coming west, more MK8 DLC , Smash Ballot and others are a few examples of Nintendo trying to please its users (even if it's probably more about financial reasons) While I couldn't care less for voice chat I really would like local 4 player or 2 vs online options so maybe if we keep nagging, Nintendo will add this in the future
Personally I want more music variation in Splatoon as well ! While the main track is catchy I just don't want it to burn me out lol

Re: Rumour: More Super Smash Bros. Code Digging Points to Five Planned DLC Characters and Seven Stages

ShoryukenKid

As much as I like Ryu and Street Fighter (Fave fighting game) it feels odd if he'd make it in my opinion . Not sure how I feel about Roy yet though I guess he'd be ok if he were to make it in. If They are bringing 4-5 new characters they should all come from the smash ballot though if we'd wait for them to run the votes and then start developing the characters then it might be over a year before we'd get them all Anyway I hope the new characters just fit in well with the Smash Universe my picks in Smash Ballot are Inklings and either Bayonetta or Wonder Red or all !

Re: Video: Greatness Awaits In This New Project CARS Trailer

ShoryukenKid

I feel it should release on Wii U first. If it's good it'll do alright on the PS4 , Xbox One. Coming out later on Wii U only hurts it . Then the developers will blame Wii U owners for poor sales. But why would you want to wait for an inferior version (I'm guessing) when you could buy it a few months sooner if you own multiple consoles ? The Wii U version seems to be getting no love as there are no videos or pictures showing the game on the Wii U. I'd pick it up on Wii U if it was close to being as good as the other consoles as it might be intresting to see how the game pad works with this game. But I'll probably pick it up for PS4 as it'll be the safest bet at being the best version (on home consoles) I just wish theyed show anything running on Wii U ...

Re: Reaction: The Nintendo 'NX', and Why We Think a Unified Platform is the Future

ShoryukenKid

@hydeks I kinda agree, while getting Nintendo IPs out where more people have access to them in more convenient ways certainly can't hurt, the best way to compete and have more games on a home console is to have a powerful enough console that can compete or surpass the competition. That means your games will look, play and run the best (PS4s advantage over everyone at the moment) and as Nintendo owner you wouldn't feel burned buy your last gen quality 3rd party games vs the superior versions on the competitions consoles. While I prefer gameplay over graphics any day, in today's envioronment it's more about power to sell consoles. It's just my humble opinion but a consoles power and its controller are more important than a gimmick to draw in 3rd parties and not limit your own first party developers to thinking they must use your gimmick touch screen. (Not that they are utilizing it much anyway) that said I feel this move could benefit Nintendo but is not that necessary. They just need competeing hardware to have the better versions of 3rd part games and Nintendos own IPs will set them apart. Ok long comment done

Re: Devil's Third Director Tomonobu Itagaki Believes That Wii U Title Fatal Frame V Will Make It To The West

ShoryukenKid

I just left the story about Ubisofts unreleased but finished Wii U game which clearly about only 2% of the people would actually even care about. Ubi can and should keep that game locked up forever .... Now THIS game is really being held hostage and absolutely needs to release in the West . I'd absolutely pick this up here's hoping it comes uncut and uncensored. I'd even settle for a subbed version

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Had a Strong Start With amiibo, But Evolution's a Priority for 2015

ShoryukenKid

Does anyone else feel reaching level 50 in Smash is a little to easy ? I felt there was very little I needed to do to let the amiibo level up. I would have had more satisfaction if I actually trained the amiibo in ways rather than just assigning it skills. Cool nonetheless but I feel there could have been a deeper connection to my virtual pet if I actually spent time showing it things somehow as opposed to assigning it skills and just throwing it in battles to watch it levelup on its own. Sky's the limit for amiibo though it's just how Nintendo wants to utilize them in games that'll make or break amiibo inthe long run.

Re: Splatoon Updates Give More Insight Into Stages, Plaza and Item Stores

ShoryukenKid

Can't freakin wait for this ! It's the breath of fresh air this genre needs IMO . I know the millions who bought COD will disagree but the shooter genre is so stale ... Maybe I just burned myself out though. While this is technically not "first person shooter" it still brings something unique to the whole shooter experience! Hope the online play is solid as it'll be fun to see all the customized characters and setups for Splatoon

Re: Gallery: A Closer Look at the Latest Splatoon Updates

ShoryukenKid

Just something I'd like to see to promote Splatoon, but wouldn't it be cool if the released a free DLC character for Smash Bros or Mario Kart based of a character from Splatoon ? Especially for Smash Bros I feel they could fit in nicely a start giving fans a connection to Splatoon or an idea of what the character could be capable of. Perhaps do like the villager where it's one character slot but choosing a diffrent color provides different skins of characters in Splatoon. Just thinking out loud but everytime I see that squid girl I think "that would be a cool character in Smash"

Re: Miyamoto: We Are Working On Ideas For The Next Nintendo System

ShoryukenKid

I hope they realize power is important... It allows 3rd party games to be fully realized as opposed to stripped down versions... That said Nintendo needs to do what it needs for their own games too. A powerful console that played Zelda and Mario without any limitations as well as third part games on par with the competition sounds sublime;) that would be my perfect Nintendo console
