@BarefootBowser WiFi for the system seems pretty standard. Even then, hardly anyone ever reaches the top speed of their ISP. I have 100mps download, but max out around 75 or so. And that's just with my computer's gigabyte Ethernet.

Sweet, we finally get these games on a console and not android/iOS.
Can't wait to play these games on a proper console.

@lateral_centro @Sinton Judging by how they look, this may be the Android/iOS version being ported over to Switch. I could be wrong on this though. We'll have to see if DQIII has the GC medal system or SFC/GC Pachirisu(?) tracks.

@HappyMaskedGuy Didn't know this guy's name till today. But I'm not going to remember it. Not worth the effort. Like many here, we just care about what games are coming out. Not the political or legal factor headlines such as these.

I do find it funny how serious you take all this. And how contradicting you sound for saying WE are juvenile. Kudos for the entertainment at least.

@Dijita Sounds like bad luck. Yes, Nintendo's online is not the greatest by any means but it still works. And $20 bucks a year is literally nothing.

@Dijita Even with a high fiber connection. Expecting to have a zero lag experience in anything is unrealistic. Each ISP is different, every game has different net protocol even with dedicated servers, and the setup of each router/modem is never the same.

We don't live in a world where technology is going to be perfect. Not in this lifetime.

I found playing online through the friend match was a lot better then random match up. Least this way, you can play with people you know have a good online connection.

Still a great multiplayer and online game. The 8 star review is well deserved.

@Daniel36 There is supposed to be some gameplay footage to be shown at the Japanese showcase. We may see how the menu system works. It could be how the singleplayer menu system worked in GC. Or maybe it will be an overlay menu system to the side of the screen. The overlay menu system seems to be a safe bet.

@Daniel36 I can understand why the couch co-op would be removed from the Switch version. The GC version was able to do it fine due to the GBA being the menu system of the game. Unless the Phone is used as a replacement (which would kind a suck), they'd have to put all that menu system onto the single screen. There would be so much clutter it be hard to do a good local co-cop that way.

@KarateLuigi Since the GC multiplayer could be through the whole story mode, I don't see why the Switch version wouldn't allow it. We'll see more of the game once the tokyo showcase is over.

Loved this game during the GC era. Instant pre-order when it's available.

I hope this a sign of things to come. I would love to have a proper re-release of these games on Switch. Especially Dragon Quest 3. Would love to have all the included GBC content that the Android/iOS version skipped out on.

@SwitchForce It just got a digital release. If it does well, maybe it will get a physical release. Till then, enjoy the digital only version for $20 bucks. Which is a fair price for Torchlight 2.

Invest in those 500GB+ microSD cards. Even physical cards know the digital era is coming.

@Mr_Muscle In a few years, a new game or console will have been out for awhile. We'll be too busy playing with something new to worry about the old. With the exception of remakes and such.

I'm not one for nostalgia and have too many games on my backlog already. Beat a game and move on. Times doesn't slow down for anyone.

@HappyMaskedGuy Thanks for proving my point. People like you who complain that digital only releases are a bad thing. Whether that is true or not, digital releases is becoming the mainstream for videogames. Get over it and let progress happen.

@Anti-Matter Not everyone has the time or patience to play through a full game again. Especially an RPG game.

Had it on PC. It's a Smash clone but without the fluid movement. Not a very good game. Sides, Smash Ultimate is all I need but maybe someone will like this budget game.

Repetitive yes, but you get to hat you pay for. Add to the fact this game goes on sale a lot, it's not a bad at all. Cheap, easy to follow, with hour of gameplay. 7/10 is about right.

Dang, no online co-op. On the fence on this title.

@Peterjr1 I think the splatfest maps are just private maps now. No mention of seeing them in the rotation, but would love to be proven wrong on this.

@Kriven I don't care how the physical releases are dying, I just know it's happening. I'm a fan of digital releases. Makes it harder to lose the game to the family dog or sticky fingers of 5 younger siblings..

More prove the physical releases are dying and digital is becoming the norm. The digital era is coming whether you like it or not.

Liked the first one. Looking forward to it's sequel. Plus, it has cross play with Xbox/PC players. Meaning online won't be as dead as we may think.

Anyways, I know no official announcement has been made. That's why I want them to release some info on the pro model. It would mean there is one coming for sure. Better that having us all wonder if it'll come.

@Utamagoyaki That why I said slim chance. I don't think our Network infrastructure would be able to support a cloud game. Not like how Japan's infrastructure is.

@Starcakes Cross-play for online game means cross progression. At least with PSO2 JPN. Which is nice.
If you mean transfer progress from the JPN server to the US server, that is highly unlikely.

@Spudtendo PSO2 is a great game. I think he's just pointing out the fact that the game was suppose to be released in the west years ago.

It now has a re-accouncement for a 2020 release for Windows 10 and Xbox 1. The chance is slim coming to Switch. But be nice to be proven wrong on this.

Sad to hear the Splatfest is coming to an end, we knew it was coming. But I would like to know if there will be any new hairstyles for the Octolings. It's not fair that Octolings only get so few hairs styles compared to the Inklings. Give us more hairs for Octolings!!

60FPS should be the target for both versions. I agree that is a must for a racing game.

@MagnaRoader Agreed. I'm the oldest of 5 in my household. Trying to share one Switch is a pain in the butt. Having at least one other Switch, especially a cheaper one, in the house would help alleviate many issues with sharing the console.

This was expected. Add online play like they did the last one and I'll buy. The series is good mutliplayer fun.

It the 3rd party docks that brick the Switch. Too much power to try and meet the requirements to run in TV mode.

This is just stupid. Saying "gaming addicts" is a problem is just another thing to complain about. Apparently, A society with "problems" is perfect in the eyes of who ever is in charge.

My friend and just used Discord to voice chat, regardless of what game we are playing. The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe chat is fine from time to time, but rarely used outside of that.
