Re: Square Enix Delays The Release Of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition

@ButterSpill Judging by the Tokyo demo that was shown in the past couple of months, it's unlikely. The way they did the menu is an overlay style. Makes it great to play from one console but I don't see it working well with local co-op. MAYBE they could squeeze in two player from one console, but couch co-op gaming is a thing of the past. Only one doing it now is the Switch and even that is slowly dieing..Couch co-op that is. Switch is still going strong.

@Daniel36 I saw the Tokyo gameplay demo. First off, who ever they had testing it out has NO IDEA how to play an RPG. The warrior was casting, the mage was melee hitting..such a mess.

Anyway, it looks like it's an overlay menu that takes up the screen. The menu is transparent enough that you can see what is behind and on the field still. Looks like the game will be design with online and local wireless play in mind. Couch co-op is looking to be less likely an option. Single player from one console, be it Switch, Android, iOS, or PS4.

@Snugglevixen I don't PC game so this learning that it's getting cheaper to make Gaming PCs is nice. Still doesn't change that buying games will eat away at your wallet.

@Fazermint Easy, with most games with online mutliplayer, they are only relevant for so long. Usually only for the first 1-2 months. Unless they are a popular multiplayer game (Mario kart, smash, Splatoon), the player base dwindle as times move. And when the next game is release, the previous game has lost its player base.

You want to keep up with the crowd, ya need money to do so. No point in buying a game with a dead lobby to it's online multiplayer.

@Paddle1 I had the Wii U version and upgraded to get the Switch version of Mario Kart 8. I believe the game is worth it. It's all the included dlc, proper battle mode, and it re-worked a lot of stats for various parts and bikes. Plus, I'm sure the online for Wii U is dwindling when compared to the Switch. If anything, just get the MK8D used or on sale.
