Showing Waluigi as an assist trophy even before the game released was Sakurai's way of saying "Forget it!"
Waluigi would be a disappointing final character, in terms of new stage, music, and spirit board. I mean, that fan trailer was great - until he was actually shown in the game having nothing but himself. He's honestly better suited for base game in the next entry.
And even then he'd once again be fighting over that spot in the roster with other beloved Mario characters such as Pauline, Toad, and Geno.
The Family Trainer series was, despite it's casual name, just like Go Vacation, one of the good Wii Sports & Wii Fit inspired titles.
I recently bought Go Vacation on Switch, and so it's nice to see this one following up.
@Ocaz It's easy to get 1000 good games on Switch if you have a broad taste. There are 6379 games currently listed on the Switch eShop, and if you count only the good ones I bet there are more than 1000.
I too, want folders, but just the simplest ones possible. Just a click away to get to a screen where you can add and arrange folders. I would like to have folders for Cartridge, Download, F2P+Apps, Demos, and Archived, so yeah, 5-6 folders at least to clean it up a bit and have easier access. The old game selection menu should still be default though.
Watching the trailer it looks well-designed for a retro platformer that harks back to the early 80ies. The simple 4-colored pixel art bring back a nostalgic feeling that I had when playing on some of the old home computers. I think the Apple II had that color palette (and the C64 was able to emulate it). The individual games may be on the short side but with all three of them packaged into one this now has the amount of content that I like to see in my simple platformers.
Is it like Pokémon Trading Card Game for the Super Game Boy, with an exciting adventure story mode, a nice little overworld with interesting locations and NPCs, great music, lots of cards to win, and a beautiful ending? Then I'm sad it's not announced for Switch.
Or is it just a free-2-play online game with microtransactions? Then to hell with that.
I must say, it is amazing to have the old Super Mario 64, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Sonic games in the world record books.
But it would be nicer if they were added to it in earnest and correctness and without a bunch of friends pushing money from side to side to generate buzz for their business.
It makes me wonder about the state of other auction houses.
I want Mischief Makers and Tetrisphere. Those are N64 games that hold up to this very day, and they were never re-released, ported, or remastered. They never got sequels, or even clones, and the gameplay is just amazing, so yeah, for me these two gems are N64 essentials.
Also, any good N64 service has to have GoldenEye on it (or at the very least Perfect Dark) as it was just as defining as Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, and Super Smash Bros.
It would be very cool to have Conker's Bad Fur Day and Resident Evil 2, for them being the most advanced titles on the system showcasing what the machine was capable of.
And since I grew up with the hype of the "Ultra 64", Killer Instinct Gold and Cruis'n USA are just too iconic to leave behind. They were literally the first glimpse of what the next Nintendo console (after the SNES) would be like, long before we saw the beta of Super Mario 64.
Finally, but not on top of my list: Pokémon. Specifically Pokémon Stadium 1&2. The N64 was the first home console with Pokémon on it. I think they deserve a place here with all Transfer Pak features included. Yes, I like Pokémon Snap and Pokémon Puzzle League but Stadium 1&2 are the main stars here!
Is there a case to store 50 or more cartridges? I need a couple of those.
However I might pick up one or two of these, just to have something more comfortable to carry my games around with. For the likes of Smash and Mario Kart, games you always want to have around in case you're meeting friends.
I just hope that Super Game Boy games are emulated correctly with the SNES in mind. I loved to play them on the tv with their exclusive SGB borders, advanced color palettes, enhanced stereo sound effects, and simultaneous multiplayer! Some of them (Donkey Kong, Kirby's Block Ball, Pokémon Trading Card Game, Samurai Shodown, even Donkey Kong Land 1&2) are among the best 8-bit games I ever played. I think you too, should play the best version of these Super Game Boy games, and if Nintendo is re-releasing them original monochrome Game Boy mode should only be an option.
This is a neat surprise. I have the prequels on DS and Wii and thought they were good fun for everyone, especially on Wii when playing score attacks against family and friends (with Miis).
After a recent hattrick with Mii games - I created tons for Miitopia, and put them to good use in Mario Golf: Super Rush and now Go Vacation, - Big Brain Academy is going to be my next in that "range of games".
Edit: It seems Big Brain Academy for Switch has its own characters and no Miis this time.
@Andrew5678: It's not just the December games, it's all games leading up to it, all the one's you mentioned, that are potential christmas tree candidates.
However, Shin Megami Tensei V is missing from your list, since it's a huge Nintendo-published title.
I love Kamek and I'm glad he's here. It's just a shame that he isn't in a console Mario Kart game.
I think Mario Kart Tour is Nintendo's best mobile title gameplay-wise, and the best Mario Kart content-wise. It's just dragged down too much by its terrible gatcha mechanics.
Also why is Nintendo mobile stuff like Pokémon Quest and Pokémon Café Mix on Switch but not Mario Kart Tour? Would have been such an easy fit.
Anyway, I hope MK9 takes a cue from the positive side of things in MKT. It's sad to see the mobile game having the most characters and courses.
I always liked Game Boy graphics. The simplicity and green shades are nostalgic and iconic for me, even though I always prefered to play them on a Super Game Boy.
But I never like when devs can't make their mind up about designing a definitive title for their game. Is it Shapeshifter II or Shapeshifter 2? Inconsistencies like these suggest lazy design (even though in this case the whole package looks quite nice).
The man just shared his point of view on a small matter in a long discussion. It's wishful thinking, nothing more than 1 of the 1000 sentences that were spoken that evening. A small thing blown up out of proportion. Sakurai knows exactly that some monkeys will make another stupid meme out of it, but nevertheless he felt that some people aren't educated enough to know how lame it is to have a fake quote with your picture on it. He knows it's not going to change anytime soon. He's not whining, he's just smashing trolls by answering questions. Reading comments of the guilty specimen here I can sense they feel cornered now.
My favourite was Loop Hero. There were other interesting games as well that I have to look deeper into, but Loop Hero seems like a simple addictive game with a new twist. I instantly understood what the game is about and wanna try for myself.
Wow, I'm surprised Switch destroys Playstation 5 in Japan.
@Anti-Matter: While Dragon Quest Builders 1 & 2 have nicer graphics, a better storyline that is more fun to play through, classic roleplaying elements we all know and love, and is just a deep and fresh take on the formula (that Minecraft itself could learn a lot from), Minecraft just has so much more complexity and freedom in its gameplay and it's obviously more well-known and rightfully so, because it's also the first one of its kind, the original. Man, it's the best selling game of all time.
Nintendo published both Dragon Quest Builders games (some of the best games on Switch), but they also put the Mario Mashup Pack into Minecraft and Steve into Smash. They even produced a Switch console + Minecraft bundle. You know Nintendo loves Minecraft.. and Dragon Quest!
And you know, graphics aren't everything. Portal Knights has better graphics and isn't a bad game, but I found it to be weaker than Minecraft and Dragon Quest Builders 1&2.
My picks for 20 nice SNES classics. Half of them defined my youth and I'd replay them, half of them I never played but would love to try:
(I have excluded stuff like EarthBound, Chrono Trigger, ActRaiser, Harvest Moon, Sim City, etc. since I already bought them on Wii U or Wii.)
1. Soulblazer
2. Illusion of Time
3. Terranigma
4. Shadowrun
5. Lufia
6. Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals
7. Lemmings
8. Lemmings 2: The Tribes
9. E.V.O.: Search for Eden
10. Killer Instinct
11. Tetris & Dr. Mario
12. Plok
13. Secret of Evermore
14. Yoshi's Safari
15. Mario Paint
16. Wrecking Crew '98
18. Mario & Wario
19. Wario's Woods
20. Yoshi's Cookie
21. Excitebike: Mario Battle Stadium
I got Collection of Mana for Switch recently (loved the first two games back in the 90s and will play the third one for the first time now), and there's lots of potential in the SNES if they just translate more JP-only SNES classics (like Hajimari No Mori, Shin Megami Tensei, Tales of Phantasia, and Bahamut Lagoon just to name a few). The SNES Satellaview games seem to be a tiny treasure chest as well with exclusive Zelda and F-Zero content.
Physical is always better. Shelf-space is presence! No one's going to give that up easily.
As long as people go out shopping there will be physical.
Nintendo makes lots of games that depend on physical items
Ring Fit Adventure has the Ring-Con,
Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit has the RC karts,
and then there is amiibo, LABO, etc.
Nintendo's merchandise is physical as well. From Yoshi underpants and Lego Mario to Animal Crossing Monopoly and Pokémon plushies. Therefore their main thing, games, should stay physical as well. Isn't that logic? And could Nintendo secretly make more money with their merch than with their games? Even I have a 1-Up-mushroom lamp, a Mario coffee cup, and the complete set of Mario Kart Kinder Surprise Egg figurines. Nintendo should offer me a Chibi-Robo tattoo next.
Earliest Mario canon is Donkey Kong (1981) > Donkey Kong Jr. (1982) > Mario Bros. (1983) > Wrecking Crew (1984) > Super Mario Bros. (1985). Even as early as that, there we're spin-offs like Mario's Cement Factory (Game&Watch) and Pinball (which featured Mario and Pauline) and obviously Donkey Kong 3 (1983) and Donkey Kong Jr. Math (1983).
It's a shame that Foreman Spike was in relatively unknown games. The original classics Wrecking Crew (NES) and Vs. Wrecking Crew (Arcade) are the only games available on Switch, while Wrecking Crew '98 (SNES) and Mobile Golf (GBC) are pretty obscure Japan only games that were never released in the West.
Mobile Golf is made by Camelot, the same company that makes Mario Golf. In fact Mobile Golf features Mario, Yoshi, Peach, and many other Mario Golf characters as playable golfers. Why this wasn't called Mario Golf is a mystery. Foreman Spike is the WTF not-expected retro newcomer in that game. And unfortunately he never returned to Mario Golf. Instead he appeared as an unlockable costume in Super Mario Maker (Wii U), and is in the Wrecking Crew micro challenges of NES Remix (Wii U) and WarioWare Gold (3DS).
He's one of the forgotten Nintendo retro characters, like Stanley from Donkey Kong 3 and the Mach Rider.
If the movie really goes back to the origins of Mario (1981-1984) before he became Super Mario (and rescued Peach from Bowser) with little nods and lore like Foreman Spike then the director has done his homework.
@EarthboundBenjy My mistake. It's been some time. However, forgetting how the (rather simple) magic system worked doesn't deduct from the amazing experience I had with the game in 1996.
Here's an old note of my TOP 10 from 1996. Keep in mind it's all games I played in that year, 3 months before the N64 came out.
1. EarthBound (SNES) 2. Chrono Trigger (SNES) 3. Terranigma (SNES) 4. Harvest Moon (SNES) 5. Super Mario RPG (SNES) 6. Kirby's Fun Pak (SNES) 7. Donkey Kong Country 3 (SNES) 8. Killer Instinct (SNES) 9. DOOM (SNES) 10. Ultimate Mortal Kombat III (SNES)
I have completed XC1, then XCX, then XC2, then Torna, then Definitive Edition, and finally Future Connected.
All Xenoblade Chronicles games for Wii, Wii U, and Switch were a day one purchase for me (except Def. Ed. which I got a little later), and having played tons of RPGs before they're some of the best I ever played, especially X.
The characteristics that go through the whole series are 1. a fast-paced and fun battle system (my favourite kind), 2. vast beautiful worlds sprawling with huge wildlife, 3. top soundtracks, 4. a very polished presentation with all QoL features an RPG will ever need, 5. an epic amount of content (sidequests, items, skills), 6. and unique storylines.
Whatever the girl said, a new Xenoblade was inevitable and expected. Back in 2019 when Astral Chain was unveiled, for a moment I thought it was Xenoblade Chronicles X-2. And when Pyra/Mythra were unveiled for Smash, at the beginning of the trailer some people thought it was Xenoblade Chronicles 2-2 or another XC2 expansion like Torna. Xenoblade fans are anticipating a new Xenoblade for some time now.
Terranigma, Chrono Trigger, EarthBound. Can anyone name more SNES games with Storyline Epicness Level 100?
@EarthboundBenjy There are a lot of blue crystals everywhere, but they never respawn. Most of the time it's easy enough to beat every boss without magic, but it can be very helpful nonetheless.
Edit: deleted incorrect information.
Looks as big as the Wii U Gamepad, which also had much better quality, grip, buttons, range, and touchscreen than Switch. Wii U gamers all knew that Switch's controls were a huge step down. This generation it's easy for other companies to be better in that regard. I mostly use the Switch Pro Controller or the Gamecube Controller anyway, so Switch is still pretty good control-wise. No problems with any other aspect of it.
Focus Home Interactive has published 12 Switch games so far:
1. Call of Cthulhu
2. Vampyr
3. Othercide
4. Farming Simulator - Nintendo Switch Edition
5. Shady Part of Me
6. A Spintires Game - MudRunner: American Wilds
7. Masters of Anima
8. Farming Simulator 20
9. Curse of the Dead Gods
10. SnowRunner / SnowRunner - Premium Edition
11. Warhammer: Age of Sigmar - Storm Ground
12. A Plague Tale: Innocence - Cloud Version
And for DotEmu it's hard to say because some of their Switch games are published by other companys.
But hey, they brought us Final Fantasy 7, Wonder Boy, Ys Origins, and other classics!!
This is a very small selection. Over 100 games were released in July. In fact every month gets at least 100 new Switch games. And you could easily make a top 20 with fantastic and good new games every month.
@Grumblevolcano Motion control found its way into Paper Mario: The Origami King, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Mario Golf: Super Rush, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, so basically all the major Mario and Zelda games keep motion control. And then some (Pikmin 3 Deluxe, New Pokémon Snap, Game Builder Garage). I bet BotW2, Splatoon 3, and Metroid Prime 4 will have motion control as well.
Compared to Wii they have slowed down. Now they don't shoehorn it into everything possible. They learned a bit and use it mostly when it makes sense.
They got plenty of nice HD remasters. Yeah, we got Twilight Princess HD on Wii U, and we got Super Mario Galaxy as part of Super Mario 3D All-Stars on Switch, but wouldn't it be nice to revisit Donkey Kong Country Returns, Punch-Out!!, Mario Kart Wii, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii in HD! I'm down for a DKCR 1080p version if it includes all the extra content from the 3DS version.
A new SNK console with cartridges that cost 900$$$!!
I'm down for it
If they really release a console, they should have some big 3rd parties around and launch with a bunch of high-profile exclusives like The King of Fighters 2022, Samurai Shodown Ultimate, Crystalis 2, Metal Slug 8, Shock Troopers 3, The Last Blade 3, Super Mario Odyssey 2.
How many WarioWare characters are playable in this game? I guess the first time through the main mode you just pick your favourite character which makes some microgames puzzling and some easy. Which isn't a problem as long as they're fun. But the game's core is not just fun, it was always about getting highscores as well, and now the minigames can be solved in different ways which makes them more replayable. I'm not quite sold, but sold enough to try it. My favourites so far are the first WarioWare on Gamecube, WW Smooth Moves (Wii), and especially WW D.I.Y. (DS).
@Thatsalie It's just my knowledge, but it's flattering that you say my knowledge is like the internet. Thank you, but please refrain from derailing the comments if you don't have something constructive to add to the discussion.
@shgamer This arcade game is more like a very basic version of Spelunker, or did Bagman have a ghost as well?
Btw, there are two Spelunker games on Switch.
Spelunker Party! by Square Enix and the brandnew Spelunker HD Deluxe by ININ Games, which is coming soon.
The NES version of Spelunker was a 30 Cent game on Wii U Virtual Console for early adopters.
I played the free trial for a couple hours now. And despite this game being anti-hemp (too many jokes against it), and anti-enlightenment (it's an illness in the game), and featuring only repelling women (they look like men with a different hairdo), I still appreciate most of the humour and like the easy controls and polished gameplay. I will play some more before I decide to buy, but it seems alright.
I love that they add so many new games that we never got on Wii, Wii U, and 3DS Virtual Console. I thought they exhausted their catalog, but no, Switch has plenty of new old SNES and NES games. Even if the games are not S-Tier or A-Tier, they're nice extras for the service since they have never been re-released. The last updates were all like that and I much prefer this method instead of getting old games we already had the chance to buy in the last 15 years. The idea to re-release games that were/are easily accessible on Wii, Wii U, and 3DS for the fourth time is very boring to me right now, and I feel the change was needed. Virtual Console needed some room to breath so that it can be exciting again next gen or the gen after that.
@Bass_X0 I also thought I was doing something wrong, but the big bomb on the bottom part has enough reach to destroy the one on the upper part. It's a very easy level.
I was glad they updated the storage, but I still need more room to store items. That's what's keeping me from playing: Having no room for all the items I bought/crafted/found/have been given.
Pix Arts... what a deceiving name for a company, because there is no artist involved in all of their 46 Switch games. They're the exact opposite of art. None of their games are original. None of their games have an artistic touch. It's evident they release unfinished beta versions exclusively.
This article is good for only one thing: To make people aware to avoid their games.
There's plenty of both still around. And as for Super Mario Bros. 35, the game was free to begin with. It's sad and kind of stupid they took it away so fast, and I miss it, but I'm not angry about it because it didn't cost anything and we all knew it was a time exclusive.
If I had made this game I wouldn't let it go to waste. Especially with all the content that has been added to it over time. I'd make a preserving offline version for Switch to save it from oblivion.
@CrissCross87 Similar deals happened to Daemon X Machina, Octopath Traveler, Devil's Third, and The Wonderful 101. Nintendo is now reasonable enough to let weaker IPs (that sold less than expected and are developed by 3rd parties) make money on other platforms.
@MaseSco
1. Xenoblade Chronicles X
2. Yoshi's Woolly World
3. Paper Mario: Color Splash
4. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
5. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
6. Star Fox Zero
7. Star Fox Guard
8. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
9. Nintendo Land
10. Game & Wario
11. Wii Sports Club
12. Wii Fit U
13. Wii Party U
14. Mario Party 10
15. NES Remix
16. NES Remix 2
17. Pullblox World
18. Art Academy: Atelier
19. EarthBound Beginnings (& EarthBound)
20. Affordable Space Adventures
Other than those there are still some nice Wii U games left that are not on Switch, like Tekken Tag Tournament 2 - Wii U Edition, Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut, Mass Effect 3 - Special Edition, Devil's Third, TANK! TANK! TANK!, the 3 Batman Arkham games (plus 2 Lego Batman games), Sonic: Lost World, Sonic The Hedgehog 4, Knytt Underground, Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones, Scram Kitty and His Buddy on Rails, and Year Walk, and if you want the Nintendo content in Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water and Scribblenauts Unlimited you only get those on Wii U. Also you might count Splatoon, Super Mario Maker, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U as titles that are different enough from their Switch sequels.
@kupocake The rule is that the Zelda and Metroid costumes ensure that the Wii U version, especially the Limited Edition, will rise in price. Same with Scribblenauts Unlimited that featured Nintendo characters on the Wii U version that were all cut from the Switch version.
Either Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, or Donkey Kong Country. I know the entirety of these games by heart. Obviously the first stages are probably the most played ones but in those 3 cases if I start a new game it's with the intention of seeing it through all and completing them.

And you know, graphics aren't everything. Portal Knights has better graphics and isn't a bad game, but I found it to be weaker than Minecraft and Dragon Quest Builders 1&2.
Re: Feature: 20 Super NES Classics Nintendo Should Bring To Switch Online
My picks for 20 nice SNES classics. Half of them defined my youth and I'd replay them, half of them I never played but would love to try:
(I have excluded stuff like EarthBound, Chrono Trigger, ActRaiser, Harvest Moon, Sim City, etc. since I already bought them on Wii U or Wii.)
1. Soulblazer
2. Illusion of Time
3. Terranigma
4. Shadowrun
5. Lufia
6. Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals
7. Lemmings
8. Lemmings 2: The Tribes
9. E.V.O.: Search for Eden
10. Killer Instinct
11. Tetris & Dr. Mario
12. Plok
13. Secret of Evermore
14. Yoshi's Safari
15. Mario Paint
16. Wrecking Crew '98
18. Mario & Wario
19. Wario's Woods
20. Yoshi's Cookie
21. Excitebike: Mario Battle Stadium
I got Collection of Mana for Switch recently (loved the first two games back in the 90s and will play the third one for the first time now), and there's lots of potential in the SNES if they just translate more JP-only SNES classics (like Hajimari No Mori, Shin Megami Tensei, Tales of Phantasia, and Bahamut Lagoon just to name a few). The SNES Satellaview games seem to be a tiny treasure chest as well with exclusive Zelda and F-Zero content.
Re: Metal Gear Creator Hideo Kojima Is "Afraid" Of A Future Without Physical Media
Re: Stand-Up Comedian Reveals His Role In The Upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie
Re: Feature: Artist Kamui Fujiwara Talks Terranigma Amid Drive To Resurrect Classic SNES RPG
1. EarthBound (SNES)
2. Chrono Trigger (SNES)
3. Terranigma (SNES)
4. Harvest Moon (SNES)
5. Super Mario RPG (SNES)
6. Kirby's Fun Pak (SNES)
7. Donkey Kong Country 3 (SNES)
8. Killer Instinct (SNES)
9. DOOM (SNES)
10. Ultimate Mortal Kombat III (SNES)
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles Voice Actor Says She 'Thinks' Another Game Is On The Way
I have completed XC1, then XCX, then XC2, then Torna, then Definitive Edition, and finally Future Connected.
All Xenoblade Chronicles games for Wii, Wii U, and Switch were a day one purchase for me (except Def. Ed. which I got a little later), and having played tons of RPGs before they're some of the best I ever played, especially X.
The characteristics that go through the whole series are
1. a fast-paced and fun battle system (my favourite kind),
2. vast beautiful worlds sprawling with huge wildlife,
3. top soundtracks,
4. a very polished presentation with all QoL features an RPG will ever need,
5. an epic amount of content (sidequests, items, skills),
6. and unique storylines.
Re: Feature: Artist Kamui Fujiwara Talks Terranigma Amid Drive To Resurrect Classic SNES RPG
Re: Round Up: Here Are The First "Hands-On" Impressions Of Valve's Steam Deck
Looks as big as the Wii U Gamepad, which also had much better quality, grip, buttons, range, and touchscreen than Switch. Wii U gamers all knew that Switch's controls were a huge step down. This generation it's easy for other companies to be better in that regard. I mostly use the Switch Pro Controller or the Gamecube Controller anyway, so Switch is still pretty good control-wise. No problems with any other aspect of it.
Re: Nintendo's Stock Price Sees Biggest Fall In Two Years Following Earnings Report
Now Nintendo can buy back more of its shares for a reduced price. Good for them.
Re: Streets Of Rage 4 Publisher Dotemu Has Been Acquired By Focus Home Interactive
Both are French companies.
Focus Home Interactive has published 12 Switch games so far:
1. Call of Cthulhu
2. Vampyr
3. Othercide
4. Farming Simulator - Nintendo Switch Edition
5. Shady Part of Me
6. A Spintires Game - MudRunner: American Wilds
7. Masters of Anima
8. Farming Simulator 20
9. Curse of the Dead Gods
10. SnowRunner / SnowRunner - Premium Edition
11. Warhammer: Age of Sigmar - Storm Ground
12. A Plague Tale: Innocence - Cloud Version
And for DotEmu it's hard to say because some of their Switch games are published by other companys.
But hey, they brought us Final Fantasy 7, Wonder Boy, Ys Origins, and other classics!!
Re: Here Are The Top Ten Best-Selling Nintendo Switch Games As Of June 2021
Last I heard, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and Luigi's Mansion 3 are above 10M as well, but didn't quite make the Top 10.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life eShop Selects - July 2021
This is a very small selection. Over 100 games were released in July. In fact every month gets at least 100 new Switch games. And you could easily make a top 20 with fantastic and good new games every month.
Re: Nintendo Teases Microgame Mayhem In Wario's Upcoming Switch Release
Re: Nvidia Shield Shutting Down Nintendo Wii Game Downloads In China
They got plenty of nice HD remasters. Yeah, we got Twilight Princess HD on Wii U, and we got Super Mario Galaxy as part of Super Mario 3D All-Stars on Switch, but wouldn't it be nice to revisit Donkey Kong Country Returns, Punch-Out!!, Mario Kart Wii, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii in HD! I'm down for a DKCR 1080p version if it includes all the extra content from the 3DS version.
Re: Former Sega And Koei Tecmo President Appointed As SNK's New CEO
A new SNK console with cartridges that cost 900$$$!!
I'm down for it
If they really release a console, they should have some big 3rd parties around and launch with a bunch of high-profile exclusives like The King of Fighters 2022, Samurai Shodown Ultimate, Crystalis 2, Metal Slug 8, Shock Troopers 3, The Last Blade 3, Super Mario Odyssey 2.
Re: Nintendo Teases Microgame Mayhem In Wario's Upcoming Switch Release
How many WarioWare characters are playable in this game?
I guess the first time through the main mode you just pick your favourite character which makes some microgames puzzling and some easy. Which isn't a problem as long as they're fun. But the game's core is not just fun, it was always about getting highscores as well, and now the minigames can be solved in different ways which makes them more replayable. I'm not quite sold, but sold enough to try it. My favourites so far are the first WarioWare on Gamecube, WW Smooth Moves (Wii), and especially WW D.I.Y. (DS).
Re: New Life Is Strange: True Colors Trailer Shows Off Colorado Setting, Arcade Machines
@Thatsalie It's just my knowledge, but it's flattering that you say my knowledge is like the internet. Thank you, but please refrain from derailing the comments if you don't have something constructive to add to the discussion.
Re: New Life Is Strange: True Colors Trailer Shows Off Colorado Setting, Arcade Machines
Re: Talking Point: What's Your Switch Game Of 2021 So Far?
Miitopia - 110 hours in and still playing daily.
Incomplete polls for incomplete results, good job.
Re: Two Point Hospital Is Free On Nintendo Switch Online For A Limited Time
I played the free trial for a couple hours now.
Re: Nintendo Expands Its Switch Online SNES Service With Three More Titles
Re: A Demo For Jupiter's Sega Picross Is Now Available On The Switch eShop In Japan
The demo is also available in Europe.
Re: Japanese Charts: Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Stays Top As Nintendo Dominates Top Ten
Konami, bring your baseball games to the west, dammit!
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 1.11.0 Patch Notes - Seasonal Events, Fixes And More
I was glad they updated the storage, but I still need more room to store items. That's what's keeping me from playing: Having no room for all the items I bought/crafted/found/have been given.
Re: Random: Hey, The Switch Is Also Getting A Flight Simulator Game This Week
Pix Arts... what a deceiving name for a company, because there is no artist involved in all of their 46 Switch games. They're the exact opposite of art. None of their games are original. None of their games have an artistic touch. It's evident they release unfinished beta versions exclusively.
This article is good for only one thing: To make people aware to avoid their games.
Re: Poll: Can You Still Find Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. And Super Mario 3D All-Stars?
There's plenty of both still around. And as for Super Mario Bros. 35, the game was free to begin with. It's sad and kind of stupid they took it away so fast, and I miss it, but I'm not angry about it because it didn't cost anything and we all knew it was a time exclusive.
Re: Nintendo Is Shutting Down Dr. Mario World For Mobile
If I had made this game I wouldn't let it go to waste. Especially with all the content that has been added to it over time. I'd make a preserving offline version for Switch to save it from oblivion.
Re: Fatal Frame: Maiden Of Black Water Will Haunt Switch At Halloween
@CrissCross87 Similar deals happened to Daemon X Machina, Octopath Traveler, Devil's Third, and The Wonderful 101. Nintendo is now reasonable enough to let weaker IPs (that sold less than expected and are developed by 3rd parties) make money on other platforms.
@MaseSco
1. Xenoblade Chronicles X
2. Yoshi's Woolly World
3. Paper Mario: Color Splash
4. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
5. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
6. Star Fox Zero
7. Star Fox Guard
8. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
9. Nintendo Land
10. Game & Wario
11. Wii Sports Club
12. Wii Fit U
13. Wii Party U
14. Mario Party 10
15. NES Remix
16. NES Remix 2
17. Pullblox World
18. Art Academy: Atelier
19. EarthBound Beginnings (& EarthBound)
20. Affordable Space Adventures
Other than those there are still some nice Wii U games left that are not on Switch, like Tekken Tag Tournament 2 - Wii U Edition, Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut, Mass Effect 3 - Special Edition, Devil's Third, TANK! TANK! TANK!, the 3 Batman Arkham games (plus 2 Lego Batman games), Sonic: Lost World, Sonic The Hedgehog 4, Knytt Underground, Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones, Scram Kitty and His Buddy on Rails, and Year Walk, and if you want the Nintendo content in Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water and Scribblenauts Unlimited you only get those on Wii U. Also you might count Splatoon, Super Mario Maker, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U as titles that are different enough from their Switch sequels.
Re: Fatal Frame: Maiden Of Black Water Will Haunt Switch At Halloween
@kupocake The rule is that the Zelda and Metroid costumes ensure that the Wii U version, especially the Limited Edition, will rise in price. Same with Scribblenauts Unlimited that featured Nintendo characters on the Wii U version that were all cut from the Switch version.
Re: Talking Point: Which Game Stage Have You Replayed More Than Any Other?
Either Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, or Donkey Kong Country. I know the entirety of these games by heart. Obviously the first stages are probably the most played ones but in those 3 cases if I start a new game it's with the intention of seeing it through all and completing them.
