If you keep tabs on the latest releases outside the realm of Nintendo, you might have heard about the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator on the Xbox Series X|S this week. Our sister site Pure Xbox has been doing a fantastic job with its coverage of the game by the way.
What can Switch owners play though to fill this void? If you are in the mood for something similar, publisher Pix Arts has got you covered with its new release Easy Flight Simulator. Have you ever dreamed of taking to the skies in fantastic planes like jets, super jumbos, and cargo carriers? Well, now you can in this game that looks like it's from the early 2000s...
"This game is a real flight simulator with commands designed to be easily taken over at all age. Fly from checkpoints to checkpoints showing your pilot skills in different weather and time of the day conditions and complete all levels. If you always wanted to fly but thought it was over complicated, this game will prove you can do it!"
Easy Flight Simulator is available to pre-order on the Switch eShop for $4.99 USD and releases tomorrow on 30th July. If you'd prefer something else on your hybrid system, there are a few other alternatives - Flight Sim 2019 and Island Flight Simulator.
Seriously though, Nintendo - if you're reading this, we'll take a new Pilotwings game when you're ready...

Microsoft has such an awesome flight simulator honestly one of their best exclusives outside of Halo. This looks interesting I might try it for that fair price tag
Ouch, that uh-
That game may need to get a check-up...
People who don't want their eyes to bleed.
It looks like a San Andreas mod from 2006.
@Poodlestargenerica
That's doing a disservice to Pilotwings
Microsoft flight simulator is the best simulator ever.
Cannot compared with this crap...
A new Pilotwings would be fantastic during these stressful times.
Seriously though, Nintendo - if you're reading this, we'll take a new Pilotwings game when you're ready...
Hahahha, like Nintendo actually listen to anyone, hahahha
where did you learn to fly?
I don't know Top Gun NES had a good landing level. I would say it's better than this.
@nessisonett San Andreas at least is timeless, this looks like a garbage mobile game. Should have ported X-Plane to Switch as that has more to offer than this
Lol !
Xbox series x is an incredible console - still to try flight simulator - in truth not my type of game.
I have a switch and a series x. Have had every Xbox that has came out. I played the switch almost exclusively for 2 years when it came out- it was truly amazing. With the series x I now play more on that though - the quality gap finally outweighs the portability. The games are just incredible on the x.
Meh flight sims are boring anyways, at least the Microsoft version had some great sceneries, this one just look bland. I rather just relax myself with Aery instead.
I don't like complaining, but you've dedicated an article to an asset flip, and actually recommended it as an alternative purchase to Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Please don't give Pix Arts the time of day - their entire catalogue consists of literal asset flips.
Really, really shady. You should be doing your homework.
Star or Shovelware did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ARs27_0UlM
And so did I. Here it is: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/3d/vehicles/air/real-flight-mobile-151313
More shovelware, even the eShop text is full of grammatical errors! Wish Nintendo would have a modicum of quality control on the eShop, it’s a Steam-esque pile of malicious rip offs and half-baked rubbish with the few quality indie titles buried in there at the moment.
This has inspired me to play Flight Sim this weekend on the PC.
I recall Switch even getting Steam the other week - who needs Valve machines?😆
I think I’ll pass on this Android game.
This looks cool and relaxing and the price is great. And I think the series x flight sim. Look really good too.
"We have Flight Simulator at home"
I’m pretty sure that the very mediocre Top Gun (DS) had better graphics than this trash.
Microsoft have a clear winner here by all accounts, not to mention the fact that it's included with Game Pass. Never owned an Xbox, got a ps5 for the exclusives to go with my Switch, but hard not to admire Microsoft this gen for their consumer-friendly approach.
does the game have textures?
Eh, no, thank you. I'll just play Flight Simulator on Series X. For those that don't have a Series X/S, play any other Switch game.
Even the in game fonts look hideous!
Do yourself a favor don't buy a switch oled ,buy xbox series s instead for less money and take game pass and you will have the chance to play the real Flight Simulator not this garbage looking low poly simulator.
Is this a retro game? Early GC title perhaps? Maybe even an N64 game that uses the expansion Pak for some higher res goodness ?
Oh it’s a switch game
Bye
I think its really cool seeing how much people are praising Xbox Series here. I was looking at getting one of the new ones, you know, to get games that can actually run, but I feel like I just can't do it if none of the games on there use gyro, especially shooters. I've grown so used to it now, that I tried the Switch Bioshock ports, but I couldn't finish due to how horrible shooting with an analogue stick felt. I know Sony have gyro, but if no devs are actually using it then what's the point!
I think my spectrum used to run this game!
@stinky_t I am planning to buy an Xbox Series X to compliment my Switch. To be honest I'm not even that fussed about the big AAA games other than maybe Forza but the back catalogue is incredible (lots of 3D Sonic games I'd like to play, Rare Replay, the Conker remake and various open world games I missed like GTA5, Assasins Creed Syndicate, Bully etc!) as is GamePass. It's much more appealing to me than the PS5 for that reason.
@Clyde_Radcliffe That's exactly why I got into Xbox. Besides, you only buy games once on Xbox and you get free game upgrades (sometimes, remasters). You won't regret it.
@AJB83 I feel like this article is very tongue in cheek. I mean seriously, this looks...terrible.
@BlueOcean @Clyde_Radcliffe I have both a PS5 and a Series, and while I enjoy the major PS5 releases, the Series X gets way more play time thanks to Game Pass.
@GamingFan4Lyf Yep, there is always something big or small to try on Game Pass. One of the best-rated RPGs, Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition, weird indie games and huge experiences like Flight Simulator or Sea of Thieves.
Removed - unconstructive
The name "Easy Flight Simulator" puts me off. Sounds like a game definitely aimed at casuals. I have X-Plane, the gold standard for flight modeling, on my PC. Anything less than that would just be disappointing.
Pix Arts... what a deceiving name for a company, because there is no artist involved in all of their 46 Switch games. They're the exact opposite of art. None of their games are original. None of their games have an artistic touch. It's evident they release unfinished beta versions exclusively.
This article is good for only one thing: To make people aware to avoid their games.
MS Flight Sim (and Forza) will make me buy an Xbox.
To bad that there is no "gameification" of the simulator - it would be perfect to have Pilotwings type of games in that game-engine!
Imagine flying a sailplane trough realistically made upwinds to reach a goal on time.
To bad that there is no Pilotwing...
@Scirocco7 Well no, actual flight simulators are the best flight simulators ever.
@Branovices A new Pilotwings game would be awesome during anytime ever. I really wish the Switch would get one.
Gross.. games like these bring the Switch down.
Now You're Playing With Far Less Power!
