Red flags include common 80-100 work weeks, 10am-12am days, and bosses leaving for dinner while their employees are left to rot in the office still working.
And unlike other recent accusations against companies for such practices, there are actual names (of former employees) tied to these claims as opposed to them being anonymous.
@retro_player_22 Neatherrealm made the game. They still get rewarded for their conditions. I'll support Shiver if they attached their name to something more palpable.
Even barring the behind the scenes, MK11's microtransactions and freakin absurd 20+ GB download are massive turnoffs for me.
I figured that's what it was. I upgraded microsds twice, and it was very annoying to check in to click on another icon or few to get those games going when redownloading.
@Galarian_Lassie I wonder if that would affect the cartridge sizes of the game? Like, what if the EU / AU versions have the full game on the cart, but the NA version is the smaller cart with a mandatory download?
If things like this can happen, it's probable Melee was either not designed around these competitive setups or - if its strict timeframe in development was anything to go by - its intentions to foster competitive play are somewhat underdeveloped.
Great of a video game as it is, 4 and Ultimate are far better competitive choices on account of the fact they are actually and deliberately built around competitive play.

@brianvgplayer That makes sense.
But it's still confusing why they did it like that
Re: Nintendo's Upcoming Switch Online NES Titles Include Donkey Kong Jr., VS. Excitebike And Clu Clu Land
So let me get this straight
Arcade Archives releases the NES Excitebike while the NES Online app has VS Exctiebike...
...when they usually do it the other way around.
